Thread: Faction Insurance Day Pass: How much?
KaiRan wrote:My fellow players will likely think I'm crazy but I think it should be as high as 250 overt, 500 covert. It needs to be enough to hurt, but not so much as you cant make itback in an hour. We are talking about a 24hr pass, right?
Ahem..... who plays for 24 hours straight?
Certainly not me, so it a total waste. Why would any casual player pay that much when they are going to pvp for 30-60 minutes at most. Lets be realistic here.
We already have 3 kinds of decay. Normal decay over time, decay from being hit, and decay from dieing. We are already hurting. Now we are just substituting pvp death decay for faction points. It's still painfull!
Faction Day passes are a no go.
This is a good idea... for me to poop on!
Covert Faction Insurance: 2000 faction points, reduced by 50 faction for each level in rank you have.
Overt Faction Insurance protects against deaths while overt. Covert Faction Insurance protects against death while covert. If you intend to change between covert and overt, you need both.
Also instead of making it 24 hours - make it 24 hours IN-GAME-TIME ... If I dump 1k faction down, then have to log for that day - it'd suck to have to pay it again tommorrow.
I indicate these prices because its an incentive to go overt, and incentive to level up in Rank. If someone is a covert lance corporal - they should pay more.
you need to improve the whole game in every aspect, sure there are lots of good things, but unfortinatly people remember the bad.
I am just looking at this game from watching my friend beta test it along time ago.. to my first 2-4 months of playing there were like no changes it was almost identical to the beta.
I don't understand how it takes you so long to provide patches/updates for the game when I remember at one point you had 500,000 subscriptions. (that is like 7.5 million a month) can you not just hire more people?
I know this is none of my business but if I was selling a car that was broken I would not say it is new and sell it for the same price. that is wrong! ![]()
When i signed up for the WoW beta, one of there questions was how much would you play for a MMORPG game of awesome quality. I said $25/month. Then they asked how much would you pay for an ok MMORPG (SWG came to mind) I said $5/month.
now with that said an average game costs about $60 now. with my subscription going to server clusers, and a "constantly evolving game world" I would expect to see 2 times as much content as inital launch of the game every 4-5 months. $15/month x 4 = $60 new game, then say 5 months so I pay $15 for my personal bandwidth server storage for the 5 months. (baised on a shared web hosting account for 50mb of space.)
That seems logical to me, does it not seem logical to you?
Thanks!
