Thread: Weekly Roundtable Discussion (Week Ending 2-16-04)
You mention loot upgrades. I'm not a loot fiend, but can we get "stupid" loot drops to stop? 99% of the loot I get is "destroy on sight" class loot.
I'd rather get loot extremely rarely than get anything broken, 1 unit of any resource (unless it's always the same so it can accumulate), any weapon with a stat less than a novice can make... you get the picture.
AOE Bug:
Whenever there are large numbers of body objects around a subject that has an Area of Effect (AoE) attack, sometimes that attack will focus on one person or target, rather than spread out across all targets in the area. And it doesn't matter if the things around that target are living or corpses, the attack will stack upon one target. If all of the attacks hit, it's usually for massive damage, much more so than that creature is ever capable of in regular fighting.

(3062 damage, no armor absorption)

(3169 total damage, with my armor only getting a chance to absorb once).
This issue is 2 MONTHS old (it was first reported in the Pistoleer forum as an advantage to Fan Shot users...but now it's evident it applies to all AoE attacks:

Note that I didn't believe it til later...I didn't think this would bug this way, but it has. Can someone look into this?
I would really like to see more content for those of us in crafting and entertainer professions who choosenot to take combat classes. One of the really nice features of SWG is that you can mix and match professions and play in the style that you want to. You have mentioned that the "I am a cleric, not a fighter" idea does not hold true in SWG several times already. Unfortunately, the focus has changed in this game lately and you almost have to choose a combat class now. It has turned into a system where content-wise combat/PvP players are first class citizens and us crafters and entertainers are basically just support for those players. It is as if we are just an afterthought in making decisions. For example, as a tailor I would love to have some of the new schematics that are rewards from the themeparks. Unfortunately, unless I want to gimp my character by dropping some tailoring or merchant skills and picking up more combat skills (I know that some people have a hard time thinking of this as gimping) I have no way of getting them myself. I can either sit at home trying to look cute until someone brings them to me, or I can bring a fighter along on the missions and sit in the background while they do the mission for me. Why can't I get things for myself and play the way that I want to play? Why is there so little non-combat content? Surely there can be some way to get this content by complicated artisan/delivery missions! I don't want anything taken away from the combat classes, just out fair share.
i dont like killing 1000's of meatlumps and i dont think this factor of the game sticks to the continuity the designers are shooting for.
Concerning Bio-Engineered pets,
A lot of my time in the last several weeks has been spent experimenting and working on making the best non-ch pets possible. I keep hearing rumors of another pet adjustment fix coming with the patch on Thursday, but no details and no substantiation. Can you confirm or refute this, and if confirming, tellus which pets will be affected and which will not? My business is pretty much at a standstill right now because I'm afraid to sell pets that may or may not be made useless on Thursday.
Thank you for your time.
Economy. SWG economies are becoming inflated. It seems that there is too much money coming into the game but not out.
I am part of a small group trying to keep organic prices reasonable on Eclipse. We don't sell higher than 20cpu because we don't feel it is right. And I am still making very good money from doing this. But these people running around charging upwards of 80cpu and 100cpu are killing the economy. The end product costs are going to be outrageous.
I hope that the devs have seen this and heard this before. Just wanted to voice opinion.
Thanks

Here's a real, real, real simple fix for you.
Spraystick is supposed to be Acid damage
Tusken Rifle is supposed to be Kinetic damage
T21 is supposed to be Blast damage
