Thread: Jedi Revamp Phase I
Forced PvP for advancement? Problematic, exploitable, and all around a bad idea (which may lead to griefing).
Force sensitivity? So the legacy Jedi get the shaft? Everyone will use 'minor force powers' now? I don't like that aspect.
What happens to the current Jedi? No word on this either. What happens to the current high-level Jedi? Do you even slate any time for fixing the broken abilities in the Jedi line already?
Overall, this is vague, poorly worded, poorly explained, and filled with bad ideas. What's worse is we have so few details we can't even offer much specific feedback. Great if you are trying to avoid the customer. Great if you want to have a bunch of cancellations after patch 9. Very poor for trying to build a fun game with the players.
Honestly, unlocking a Jedi and playing as one mandated a certain style of play, but there was some flexibility. These changes seem to tighten the restrictions instead of allowing players the freedom to have fun.
I think this is moving in the right direction. Keep up the good work devs.
I do like the feel of mild force sensitivity. Have like a couple "force skill points" that would mod a stat or two. Any stat... so like the crafters could get like 1 more exp point or something. I mean, you have to complete some sort of task, or quest of "discovery" to unlock this force sense, but it would be in-line with Luke's mechanical skills being above normal, and Anakin... I mean, whoa.
Granted, being that those two are supposed to be some of the most powerful ever (metaclorian birth), it's hard to compare.
yeah these in concept/in development forums are just to make us feel like we have a say and SOE has proved time and again that we don't.
I am feeling a bit of rage at a videogame...i feel seriously bad now. I hope to god you Devs smarten up, and damnit TH i expected some answers from you, just another let down.
They get to play through the new quest system in Publish 10.
Ok now I am lost. The revamp is in Publish 9 and people that have completed holos get to play through?
Does that mean skip the quest? English please
Ramhorn
Oh boy! we "get to" start over.

Advancing down the path of Jedi will start with basic force sensitivity which will be open to all players to create a sense of the force.
?? Does this mean. Everyone will have two slots per server as well? And be FS? creating thousands of Jedi running around? Still kind of confused about this.
Successful Jedi Knights will have the opportunity for two slots (in the current design), but it will be difficult to attain.

well, so far it's looking good, but we need more information on how this will affect current jedi before we can put our views in.
Some translation to the new system will be part of the process and current Jedi will not lose their second slot.

Some translation?
How about this for a change. A STRAIGHT ANSWER.
Will current jedi, IE Guardian 4444, lose any of their current abilities and have to grind again? It's really quite a simple question.
