Halo, could you give us the simple numbers of which advanced combat classes are being incapped or killed the most based on time of times that class has been incapped, killed per daydivided by the number that are in that class. i.e 100 carbineers were killed or incapped last night/there are a total of 500 carbineers on all the servers. so the rate for carbineers is .2. can you give us the top couple and bottom couple in the combat classes?

Holo,

I don't understand why there has been no word whatsoever on the state of Droid Engineers. Making generalizations in regards to the pet problem is not giving us any idea on what the plans are for our profession. We as a profession are having a difficult time being a viable part of the Star Wars experience. In the last month I have been reduced to a Bounty Hunter seller and a Droid Chassis seller. None of this has nothing to do with being able to build a good product and becoming a member of the crafting economy. I want to be a droid crafter that actually makes droids that work not some furniture seller.

What I would like from you or any developer out there is some kind of idea on what our profession can look forward to in the future. You have done this on several occasions already with other professions. Even if its our developer (do we have a developer) sending you a list of their thoughts and posting it to us would be such a relief that you could not even imagine.

As of right now my DE status is nothing sort of just a title with no real benefit to it.

Can you please throw us a bone with some meat on it?

Humbly yours,

I have been wanting for a long time, more items to be allowed to be placed in PA halls,

250 items in a PA hall can't even fill up half the hall with furniture, and that is just furniture alone.

Is this ever going to be fixed? Needs at least 500-600,

I can hold more with just 9 small houses....that is stupid.

Thank you for any response.

Well as I see it the easiest way to make droid engineers more useful is two things allow them to make player vehicles and allow them to make droidekas.

I'm a little disappointed in the list you provided of popular professions, and most-mastered professions. I'm even more disappointed that you succumbed to the Dark Side of the Charts and provided the least popular and least-mastered counterparts.

Now the "most popular" professions will continue to badger the development team for high-priority fixes because of that Top 5 chart, and they will throw that stat chart in everyone's teeth to say, "See, I told you! We should get the fixes first because we're the most popular professions. Maybe when we're happy, you guys can have a fix, too. I figure we'll be happy with our profession in about 3 years." Other players will point to any fixes for Fencers, Pikeman, IDs, and so on, and say, "Why did you fix them? Nobody plays that. Look at us over here! Why bother fixing those guys when you could have fixed me?" It's already happening to the patch now: people are whining that we IDs got a UI repair we've needed since before launch and their pet project hasn't been fixed yet. As gamers, we don't need to know what your stats are. The more information you give to the boards, the more everyone will argue that your priorities are wrong. (Like I am.) Just fix what you can fix that needs to be fixed and move on.

Apart from that -- and apart from spotting a few things in the patch notes that obviously have already been implemented -- I got no complaints.

when you get a letter saying your CSR ticket has not been read, I believe that means they posted a comment in your ticket

this happened to me, I checked my ticket after I had gotten two letters, and I discovered that there were 2 comments on my ticket asking for when I would be on to talk with them!! I was totally shocked!!

I belive that people in general dont realize what this is, and they assume their posts are being ignored : /

This type of letter is a good start Holo. I especially like the game info. Interesting that CH is the number one mastered and taken advanced profession in a fictional world that is supposed to be droid-oriented rather than creature-oriented.

One quick question. You have said that the number of CS tickets have dropped by twenty times since last month. Remember when we could have more than one ticket open at a time? It would be nice to know what the average number of tickets per individual was a month agao as opposed to now. If that number is twenty times greater a month ago, you know where all those tickets have gone, they are now appended on to the one ticket we are allowed to have open at a time.

Of all the PvP battles I've been in, CHs are NOT the marjoty by far. As it turns out,it seems most of them are into PvE. For each big battle I've been in, there's only been 1 in 10 that are CHs. Now that everyone can have a pet, yes, there are a lot of pets out, but it's not like CHs dominate PvP.

Regarding Creature Handlers, Holocron said:

This is the kind ofthing that makes people say that the developers dont understand the players.

"Gee, lets make a tamer class that can control powerful creatures the size ofa spaceport to do their fighting for them at very little risk to their own characters with minimal skill investment. I dont see any problem with that."

I don't know about EQ, but Ultima Online, which I played for over 5 years was rife with the tamer profession being insanely overpowered at very little cost. Why in the world didn't the developers see it as being an issue in SWG??

Players arent really that complicated. There is a large percentage of us that simply want maximum return on minimum investment. What is more economical than getting a creature many times more powerful and with many times more HAM pts than you are to crush others? And at the cost of what,a measely 92 skill points to master? That's not even half his total skill points! If the Creature Handler class is going to be so powerful, it should take nearly all of their skill points to master.

But the number of skill points required or difficulty of mastering a skill still makes no difference. No matter how difficult you make it, a large number of players will still eventually master the skill and you still have an overpowered profession. Maybe you'll say "Well, they aren't omnipotent. They aren't as powerful as you say." A single one possibly not. But if you have 2 or 3 CHs, they are worth several times more non CH players.

The developers need to look at the whole picture in all of its dynamics and possible situations before creating such an unbalanced profession.

Im all for players having pets in the game, and I think that Creature Handler should be a class available for people who like that style of play. But the same as I would say for ANY skill, it shouldn't be the class that all the Min/Maxers automatically gravitate to.
