Thread: A sort of state of the game

YA id also like to now if playing 2 characters hurts or helps you open youre fss...
I personally would think that the answer is that it only 'hurts' in that it will require more time to achieve.
Obviously, you spent 100% of your playtime with a single character (on one server), you'd have a greater chance of becoming FS due to the amount of "actions" you were able to take.
Playing two characters (one each on two servers) would likely give you the same chance to be FS on either server....it will just take you longer to get there.

Respectfully,
I strongly suggest you expand the correspondent program to 2 per profession once the new person is in place. You have expanded the role of the people greatly, with the new forum areas and testing responsibilities, I think you need to double their numbers to make up for it. This will also help when you lose a correspondent, which will inevitably happen even after the program is working well. Plus it will help guard against getting a correspondent whose interests do not reflect their constituents well.
Wow.
Pikeman and Fencers made both the least popular novice list and the least mastered list, but there has been NOTHING to help these proffessions out.
How about some love holo, along with squad leaders, the other 2 melee classes, chefs, and all the other borken professions. CH and commando seem to be the only unborked proffessions right now.
Greetings,
There has been a little confusion regarding the email messages some people are seeing when they log in regarding their Tickets.
The message “Your CSR request #00000000 has a status of Unread” means that “Your Ticket has had a message added to it by a CSR and has not been read yet by you.”
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
CSRRobynR,
You might want to take a pass a rewriting the message so that it causes less confusion.

if we get to see a ranking, can we at least see some percentages?
Percentages are very miselading, because people can have more than one.
Huh? You sure you just didn't place a logical error in here? I mean, seriously now, you *must* have some way of doing this since you were able to rank them.
I'd *really* like to see the following: There are N 'mastered' professions. This means that the total number of masters in the game is N, note that one player can master more than one profession. Of all these mastered professions, X belong to the AZ class.
N - Number of total masters (players can have more than one master, so if one player is a master CH and master TKA, he contributes 2 to this total).
AZ - Placeholder for a profession (CH, BH, Pistoleer, Doc, Dancer, Chef, whatever)
X - Number of masters of AZ (some profession).
X/N = percentage
Gee, that was really hard. And I tend to agree with the posters pointing out that this is indeed **edit** galaxies, I'm glad you are at least becoming aware of that fact. While the 'greatest story told' may be mine, it is currently starring the pets.
- Make all structures automatically deduct maintenance from your bank account.
- Send an e-mail if this can't be done due to low bank funds.
The polished solution:
- The above with a new interface that allows you to control your structures. This interface would allow you to:
- View the list of structures you have
- Select the ones to auto-pay from your bank
- Set a warning level, that if your bank balance drops to that point, you will receive an e-mail
- Set a minimum level, that if your bank balance drops to, it will stop auto-paying your structures.
- Possibly allow for remote deletion of structures (good for quickly geting rid of those small harvesters that aren't worth running out to redeed).

Would you guys be willing to share the proffession percentages for all proffesions, not just the rank of the top 5?
Urgh. I thought it would just be a nice tidbit. Now you want all our balancing metrics.
Is there any way you could give us the statistics for factions too?
/emote runs for the hills.
Seriously though, faction stats will be available functioning correctly via /gcw soon, I hope, and eventually via the website as well.
First off great post and respone to it, hopfuly you can keep this level of communication going.
Secondly any info you can provided no mater how small or trival you may think it is will be welcomed by many. I would also like to see all the class rankings, with real numbers
. As well as server stats, be intereting to know which server is the richest.

Great, we know that our correspondents know about the problems, we want to know if 1) YOU know about them, and 2) if/when they're going to be fixed. Are they being worked on, or are these the low priority bugs that are going to take months to fix?

is anyone looking at the Tailor/armorsmith bug? where schematics disapear from our tool when we get more than 256? And how about the necklaces that still don't show an icon in the creation, inventory or examine screens?
I don't know off the top of my head. I know that the correspondents are aware of the issue and are escalating it to us.
the food stack issue should be amoung your top issues to resolve.
I believe it was the #1 issue the chef correspondent presented us.
I am blown away by rifleman being the 4th most popular. I am a rifleman/TKA and so far I have paid the NPC for rifle training every time because I can't find a single other one. For TKA I always get player training.
Where are you guys hiding! Out with you I say! ![]()
Holo, question, when you say 'most players have not reached advanced professions', do you mean most characters have not reached advanced professions, or most player accounts have not reached advanced professions?
I have created 8 characters. 1 which I play almost all the time. 1 alternate who I mess around with, and 6 that I don't ever use at all, and are still on the space station.
Thank you for all the updates.
Agreed that finding a solutionto the pets problem will bedifficult. But please make this a priority as a lot of thefun has leeched out of the game for me (and many, many others, if the forums are any indication) because of the imbalances caused by Dinotopia. It is not the fault of the current CH's for migrating where combat mechanics dictate they must be in order to compete.
Thanks,
Shyre, Tempest
