I throw in that the bag on vendor deal really stinks. I sell entire runs of components to people (syth cloth, fiber panels, now trim) and sometimes at a discounted rate (bulk purchases). It's so easy to load up 40 crates into a pack w/ the customers name on it.

I also supply another merchant with wookiee clothes at "cost" so he can maintain a vendor for me onTatooine since I use all 6 of my vendors in my shop on Naboo. I just load up backpacks and offer them on his vendor. Easy for him and easy for me.

I can see how it'd be easy to 1. rip ppl off since they can't verify the contents of a bag and 2. store hell of a lot of stuff on a vendor easily (rrr... YOUR database issues AGAIN!) but this is gonna really cramp a lot of ppl. I'd say ppl almost always use named packs for special orders... w/out them it will be impossible to stop others from buying things (not that it isn't possible now but who wants to pay 100k for a bag w/ who knows what in it).

If you're going to change vendors to only hold a limited amount of sales anyway (though it's been a while and we haven't seen a revised proposal) why not make each item in a bag on a vendor count towards the total? That will at least solve the database problems and if ppl are buying bags from vendors they don't know and trust then unfortunately it's just "buyer beware."

Commodities Market/Vendors: Fix to no longer allow people to sell bags that are not empty on vendors.

This is one of the most convenient ways to sell custom orders to others. You name the bag, drop it on the vendor, send an email and move on. The seller and buyer don't have to worry about trying to coordinate times to meet, worry about different time zones, other people buying product set aside, etc. This change adds to the chores of playing the game for both the buyer and seller. What exactly does this fix?

NOOOO ...... /sobs

Please reconsider this, at least for personal Vendors.

The dangers of Rip-Off are not all that real, especially if you want to continue trading, and this facility is so useful, mostly preventing people from picking up another customers 'custom order'.

Please reconsider.

I'm not even an artisan or armorsmith but a CUSTOMER. Thanks for the huge list of fixes but please, please, please reconsider this 'fix'!!!

(Groan) I hate buying armor one piece at a time. Just give us the ability to see whats in the bag or something.

As a Master Armorsmith, all I can say is you have now made our profession even more difficult. Give us some way around this. Please.

Commodities Market/Vendors: Fix to no longer allow people to sell bags that are not empty on vendors.

I have to go along with everyone here, and suggest that this needs to be re-thought. As far as I'm able to see, the advantages from both a buyer and seller standpoint far outweigh any of the proposed difficulties.

This really is a change (not a fix) that the playerbase does not want to see in. It doesn't balance any aspect of gameplay, nor fix any actual problems.

Please, please revisit this concept.

The ability of the wookiee to wear the Marauder armor shows that the devs now have a template for wookiee wearable armor. Having a template is one step closer to have a schematic.

Because people use backpacks as extra storage on the bazaar. Each bag is 50 more items you can store, for 7 days at a time (set auction at 6k so no one can bid). Only 20 creds per storage space

My honest response to this concern is........SO WHAT?? What is this huge, big concern over storage? Why in the world do we even have limits to storage in our homes? This has never made any sense to me. Everyone worried about some exploit here? Is hoarding the end of the SWG universe?

Someone please explain this.

Do you have any idea the database capacity that would be needed if there weren't limits placed on storage? I'm against not being able to sell loaded bags on my own vendors, but there are needs to limit the amount of things everyone can horde.

He's right. In beta, the devs had a BIG HUGE GIGANTIC problem with this. They forgot to stop people from putting backpacks within their backpacks for virtually unlimited storage. Caused HUGE problems. Did I mention it was a HUGE problem?

All in all, this will eventually mean less lag, because the database is less tied up with problems.

I just would hope they'd have another solution for us armorsmiths in the works, like a delivery droid or something. (HINT HINT HINT)

Someone mentioned the problem(i think it was rexen), that he liked to buy armor in bundled packs so that he would get all the same color. This is a problem i have been tossing at the devs for a wile. I like to buy armorwith the best stats i could find, but most of the time the color is wrong.

Well if the merchents are going to have to sell goods seperatly, Please have a paint kit for armor so we can have the color we want. Now if it can be done for vehicals, i know it could be done for armor or even weapons.

I had the idea to sell buffs of each stat with SAME durations in bags on my vendor.

They have proved to be hugely popular and I have got many /tells and emails from people saying they love it.

They can buy a bag with buffs of same duration AS WELL as not have to scroll through my vendor looking for individual buffs and buying them one at a time.

But that's the real issue isn't it? From day one this game has used every trick in the book to make people spend useless TIME to do almost everything.

SOE doesn't care about what the players WANT or LIKE, they look for any way possible to make doing something take as much time as is possible.

The longer a person takes to DO something, the longer they pay to play.

However, what the Dev's don't seem to realize is that all the neat and fun things or just plain helpful things in this game that they somehow nerf to make them more difficult or un fun is leading to more and more people just packing their bags and quitting.

I truly have never seen a game, where the dev's seem to go OUT OF THEIR WAY to remove the ease and fun out of their own game.

Do you people all have more lucrative jobs you have been offered and you can't get out of your contract with SOE or what?? Are you purposely trying to make the game a failure so you can leave?

QUIT CHANGING THINGS THAT PEOPLE LIKE, AND SPEND YOUR DAMN TIME FIXING THINGS THAT PEOPLE WANT FIXED!!

Wookiees: Wookies should now be able to wear the marauder quest armor.

Couple of question....

1. Is this armor only obtainable once, and does it have sockets for Armor Attachments??

2. Will this armor be craftable by armorsmiths orwill it be like the Bowcaster and just be craftable by wookiees??

3. What will be done about Wookiees who have already completed the quest, and gotten rid of the armor??

4. If we go ahead and get the armor now, will it be the wearable after the change goes live??

Thanks,

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Arasett

1. Yes, you can only get it once. No, it has no sockets.

2. Neither. No one can craft it.

3. You'll have to pay someone millions of credits to get this once useless armor. Enjoy the second wave of Wookiee Exploitation! Hope you already have your Life Day orb, by the way.

4. I assume and hope so. Although I won't be wearing it - because it sucks and is irreplaceable, not to mention butt-ugly -it would be nice.

at the risk of repeating what everyone else said...

/shakes fist at DEVS

stop changing things to make it worse.....if they aren't broken.

If this bag issue is a database issue (which it is)....make the number of items count on a vendor, so a bag of 9 items would count for 10 things. That way nobody would use it to store tons of stuff.

If this bag issue is a grief issue, make the damn things viewable. That way their is no grief. Armorsmiths have been asking for viewable bags for ages anyway. Or...haven't you read anyting on our forum?

You are totally screwing my profession up recently.

At least you added a new armortype....OH WAIT...it is a quest DROP, not a new type for me to make. Thanks for removing some of my business.

Try fixing the PSG's before you make new stuff!!!!!

I am giving until my current subscription month runs out, then I am out if this thing isn't fixed. I have better things to spend my money on than to have you make the game worse and worse.

Now that they at least have a code for wookiee armor in place; (This is as practical, plain, and obvious solution as their is) Why not just allow wookiees to wear every type of armor that everyone else can, and just have a 15% higher HAM requirment on the armor????? Besides coding that in,what is wrong with this idea?????!!!!

Composite is heavy enough that even Wooks would have to get buffed to wear it all anyway. But I agree fully on this. Clearly they CAN let us wear armor, so it's just a matter of convincing them to let us use the other types. I'm personally drooling over Ubese, since I only hunt and never PvP
