it does show food buffs, but whether intentional, oversight or a bug its not showing pre-patch foods (like your fishak). Grab some brandy or synthsteak or something and you'll see the icon no problem.

I'm not chef, i do buy alot of food though...Post patch Non-bio-Enginered food is still better than any pre-patch bio-e'd food.

Meaning that the food is better without additives anyhow. I don't see how anyone can complain about quality of food. Making it and bugs is another story but I think the new food is great. Bio-e'd brandy is already at +450 for 45mins and 49 fillingon my server...why should that be cheap or easy to make, it's so much better than what was there before...that's my opinion. I think the dev's did a good job with the food, I bought a few crates of fishak and ryshcate cause i was worried, but I am deleting it as it's hard to even sell now.

I can only assume that Bio-E'd food was suppposed to be rare, because it's stats are so crazy. I thinks it's best like that. Low level players shouldn't have access to highend products, the game's to easy as it is.300k for a crate of bio'd brandy that lasts for such a long time isn't over priced in my opinion

you changed chargeshot1

1st you said it was working as intended

2nd you said it would be looked at in the combat revamp

but you change it now without giveing anyone any prior knowledge.

you put a timer on chargeshot2 WHICH DOES NOT EVEN WORK ANYWAY (YOU PUT A TIMER ON A SPECIAL THAT DOES NOT WORK) do you even know that most of the specials in the game do not work.

The BoH nerf is the most annoying thing for me about this revamp. I like to pve unbuffed, and previously I did very well using Boh and Ryshcate together.

Now Ryshcate is gone (changed to something else) and BoH is nerfed ! yes it is nerfed. It is basically the same product as before, lasts 10 minutes with huge stomach filling - too much downtime.

I had some BoH custom made with a duration BE additive - the chef was able to get it up to 17 whole minutes spending every point on duration, then the rest on filling. It still has huge filling and the buff is only 415 due to trying to work up the duration, and only 3 uses per stack.

This is simply unacceptable. After4 days now of pve doing missions with the new food, I can confidently tell you that the new BoH is only useful for high-level unbuffed pve in conjunction with the old Ryshcate. Otherwise it's completely useless for the cost.

Honestly I will not be pursuing any more BoH, I will be relying on nice cheap doctor buffs for 8k that last 2.5 hours with a huge buff, and tapping a little brandy or canape as required.

Maybe the nerf to BoH was intended as a favor for the chefs (as it takes so much alcohol to make) but it certainly was no favor for the customers.

Other issues: I bought some Cho-hor noola (poison/disease resist) and it made no apparent change to my stats. BTW if I originally have 0 (zero) poison resist, how does 25% improvement to zero help me ?

The barrels not working is an absolutely huge issue - it affects the cost effectiveness of the food. We need the barrels please.

Oh yeah and the pre-patch food has basically been nerfed into oblivion. It's useless (except ryshcate and glucose imho due to their low filling). I had about 6 crates of super Fishak I bought and paid good credits for - now totally useless.

That sort of thing (and the surprise destruction of pre-nerf pistol crates) leaves me cold and gives me the feeling SOE has no respect for the players. We bought/made these things with our hard earned credits, resources, time and energy, and you go and destroy them. This is the biggest thing that makes me wonder about other mmorpg's.

i am also doing swirls and if you highlight the resources you notice that berries is a specific for grind. berries cant be used for the fruiuts casuse berries are diffrent from fruits and cant be use for fruit mash. this is a peculiarty for this grind. hope this helps out . i am grinding my way through chef in bria so you are not the only person who has noticed this. no need to worry.

enjoy

Since I'm not a chef, I can't make a lot of constructive comments here, other than I like some of the new foods, especially vasarian brandy. I'm sure others have said this though. However, I wanted to report something I've put in another thread, so that it gets the proper attention.

It seems that if you die and reclone, your belly is still full of food and drink, and you cannot take more until the allotted time has passed. Naturally, in real world terms, this doesn't make sense (presuming you could clone in the real world, of course), since your full belly is out on a field rotting somewhere. In game terms, this also doesn't make sense, because everything else is reset to 0 when you die, meaning you lose all buffs, spices, etc., for good or ill. Your stomach should also reset to 0, in my opinion. I'm sure others have reported this, but just in case, here's my report....

having just made master chef the other day, I have been havign a lot of fun with it so far. I can't see why so many people charge so much for their food though. I'm loving the short times that sub componetns take in a factory, a lot less tahn doc or armor. *cough* 320sec per stun layer is nuts *cough*.

Personally I like having the professions interlinked, i think it helps to makethe game more of acommunity, which is exactly what SOE wants. THey don't want everyone to be a one man show. they want people tohunt in groups, and they want crafters to rely on each other.

PS - please fix barrels.

Just a quick comment, experimetation (or maybe the schematics) on certain foods is just bad.

Take Garrmorl for example. Both Bone and Scalely Hide don't have Flavor or PE so I grabbed the highest OQ I could find, 974 on Hide, 490 on Bone. Combined it all together and went to experiment.

I could only get 3 boxes for Nutritional Value!!

Since Nutrition is 66% PE and 33% OQ, does that mean I can NEVER get better than 33% experimentation on Garrmorl?

If so, this drink is pointless. Too bad too, would be a GREAT drink for pikeman.

I have Novice Chef. I made about 5-7 sopyros last night. I'm using a Food/Chemical Crafting Tool (and trying the same items with the Weapon, Droid, General Item Crafting Tool) and after making several different foods from Novice Chef I had no food crafting xp. I've read through the chef profession forums and I've seen that a few other people are experiencing this bug. I would like to go somewhere in chef, but I can't without xp...(I know that's very "captain obvious" of me...) Some have said a re-logging doesn't fix this for them (relogging seems to only work occasionally).
