Im sure by now the DEVs think im some sort of anti DEV activist, but can you blame me for complaining after this most recent debacle? ok, the corvette had its issues, and maybe too much loot was getting out and about, but this latest patch seems to demonstrate to us all THE APPARENT LACK OF EFFORT THE DEVELOPERS ARE PUTTING INTO THE GAME. Lets see, why dont we put 6 or 8 or 10 super battle droids anywhere people need to go in the ship. who cares if it doesnt mesh with the plot? who cares if it looks silly?

if this is the way the game is going then give me back my money, its just not worth it.

why not develop a complex and interesting plot? why not make the loot more rare? why not put some attention into any number of the things that are going on right now that could use a tweak?

This latest news from the Vette is really annoying. I was getting together with a group of friends This Sunday to go up there. Except for me we're all married with children and to get a time where 6 of us can plan to get together for several hours without disturbances or other commitments took us two weeks. With some other people we have met in the game, with flexinle schedules, we were going to go up there with a good group of ten to run all the neutral and reb missions. We have been going around on our own to get everything we need, find all the items we need for the tickets so we will be ready to go. Honestly, we were expecting to get beat up, but still have a lot of fun, and hopefully succesfully complete all of the missions. Now it just sounds like it is pointless. If the SBD spawn is a bug and doesn't get fixed we won't have a chance, and if the SBD spawn is not a bug, then this a horrible lazy way to try and stop ninja looters from running through. Please tell me this was just a bug and not intentional.

The corvette as it now stands provides no entertainment to the costs involved. Previously, the SBDs were a challenge but there was a way out for the savvy. That they would attack anything including the npcs. The corvette was solable, and some say this is wrong, but the facts themselves point that less that 1/3 of all who attempted the corvette finished it. This, in itself, is proof that the corvette was never taken lightly by anyone.

The SBDs everywhere simply removes any fun and challenge to the corvette. Originally, I was with parties that used either the kill everything in sight method, the stealth method, or, most commonly, a combination of both. All 3 ways were challenging and although loss was suffered, it was considered part of the mission.

Now its simply a mad dash. If you don't have a map, forget it. If you don't know exactly where to go, forget it.

As it stands, the corvettes will become simply wasted server space.

Some from my guild went to it last night. Got an odd error when trying to change the fuel level at the fuel terminal. Sys msg was "Engines operating normally", "engines need to be rebooted". Are you supposed to go to the engine terminal in the front of the ship 1st? Its just odd cuz i followed me guide, and others have succeded when using it.

Any thoughts?

Yep they have been bugged since Patch 8, that is one of the complaints.

I used to be able to stealth the neutral missions if I was real careful. Now, post-publish, I find it kinda tough. SBDs aside I can no longer stealth past FEMALE CorSec. Am I the only one experiencing this? Am I suddenly offensive to the ladies? They see me coming a mile away regardless of facing, my movement speed, etc.

The dudes ignore me completly. Is this game trying to tell me something...? I'm beggining to feel offended...

Is there a reason we can't get a response on this SBD issue?

I know I'm late, and I know this has probably been said 100 times before in these 30 some-odd pages, but....

1) Allow insurance on the Corvette
2) Allow doctors to heal and buff on the Corvette
3) Increase loot drops

That's all you have to do, and most of, if not all of the complaints, will die down to a murmur.

ran the neutral destory mission twice tonight and every room where i could access a amorie or get a code or unlock about 5 sbd would spawn. in fact the closet with the disabled droid/ amorie had so many SBD i couldn't see a damm thing. so i spent two hours running around trying to complete the vette and could due to the SBD shooting me thought the wall/ and or my incap body being warped back 20 meters or more while incap and these doesnt happen till the last 20 seconds of a incap

OR the npc wait till you only have 20 seconds or less then the slay you.

as for the 8 times i been up 6 before publish 2 after publish here is my loot list and mind you i have killed over 20 troopers total and from the trooper i only looted credits

6 llc

2 stun batons

bantha doll

marine armor which was 60% cond after the mission

rebel t-shirt equaly worthless

1 e11

2 things of spice

ZERO power plants

and the weapons where so cheap i could bearly sell them for 500 credits on the bazzar come on what going on is the vette just a way for armorsmith to get rich by selling 30 sets of comp a week vs 5

what up 30 pages and one dev wont let a single peep out about if the vette working as they meant or not. What where your goals for this thing. come on we spend a couple thousand credits just to earn the ticket another 10k for buffs that last maybe 10 to 20 minutes. WIll the power planet drop more often in a couple week/months? i think it total unfair to give us new things and make them impossable to get

Look like they upped the corvette difficulty again LOL.

Me and 7 other guild mates completed the assassin mission tonight (rebel) so it is still possible. This consisted of me making a mad dash to unlock the lifts and pick up the codes required, which before was fairly straightforward though this time required a force of will midway. Then, all8 of usfully buffed and in composite ran to theupper area near the bridge and started to take on the 2 stormtroopers in the 1st upper corridor after the lift up. We quickly realized given the resists that this was futile so a friend suggested we go straight to the inquisitor, whereupon the 3 riflemen spammed mind hits and a heavy swordsmen and myself (TK/Doc) did likewise. We all got incapped and a few of us died, luckily 2 RMs werent slain and got up, recharged (bugged, no aggro) then finished him off. Then they too died, cloned, and joined the rest of us at the pods.

Is this what the devs have in mind? We're a pretty decent group of fighters wearing good armour etc etc, but if we stopped to take on mobs the corvette would be an imposibility. It reminds me of my days playing resident evil on playstation for speed, not taking on enemies but making a mad dash past completing puzzles.

They keep upping the difficulty to stop 'runners' I'm told. By doing this they have made the only one possible way to complete the quests by 'doing a runner'.

I have my powerplant & 5 badges, once i have the 6th (neutral assassin) I doubt I'll return, which is a shame I had high hopes for it. The first time we played as a group we had a whale of a time picking of what mobs we could... it was only later we realized that to succeed we had to run about franticly doing the puzzles as fast as possible. The new difficulty level has cemented this position.

Agreed. It seems the only inventivness the devs are able to shows is to up the spawn of the HAMs. Now allI do to lead a group that wants a badge is tell them to run around and take on what ever they want till they get incapped or killed whileI go run the mission.

As it stands now there is no reason to even bother trying to lead the group through the place, they all get incapped anyway and I end up running the mission solo regardless.

I just read that only 1 in 3 players completed it...and maybe only 10% of the server population even tried it(?)...That to me says it was hard enough as it was.

Personally I've got 5 of the 6 Badges..an AV-21 Speeder and a backup deed in case that vehicle repair bug kills my first.

What now?

From the tone of things...seems that the Corvette is already going downhill..but let me try to be constructive here

(hopefully some developer somewhere will read it...)

  • If the goal is to make this a group event..make it so each mission (rescue & destroy) needs to kill something..like a droid to loot the repair part..instead of putting it in a locker

  • Make the assassin mission a little clearer..who is the target?..Ive been there 5 times for the assassin and we completed it only once by fluke

  • lower the HAM..wait..let me repeat this LOWER THE HAM on the npcs..that is to assume you want us all to kill stuff..(as a group)..otherwise we will all just run back and forth and you can make all the HAM 600k..cause if we only have to run..it wont matter

  • make the risk vs reward pay off. There is no reason what so ever that any player needs to get their 300k composite armor trashed for an E11 rifle or toy bantha..thats just stupid

  • One of the big joys in doing the Corvette was getting the NPCs to fight the droids..did it make us/allow us to complete the mission faster or easier? no no no...I just was running from 1 objective to another anyway..but watching them fight was sure a cool sight

I *was* addicted to running this Corvette dungeon..as all the other Shadowfire Imperial players saw....and I met some great other players...but now it just kinda seems annoying
