Let alone all of the changes being made in regards to pets and CH, etc. I think underlying idea here of forcing people to make harder commitments to classes is dangerous speech and “breaks” on of the key features of this game. The reason I play SWG is because I can make Hybrid characters. Characters that dabble in BH while being Master Rifle or dabble in Rifle while being Master CH, whatever. I would like some clarification of what is considered dabbling by Thunderheart and the Dev team. If I am hearing what I think I am hearing there is going to be more “nerfing” of the classes in order to weed out dabblers.


To me dabbling means getting novice and maybe one or two skill blocks in a line to reap MAJOR benefits. I suppose having a level 26 pet (Novice CH with Training I) would be a major benefit and thus fits into that category.


But… if Thunderheart and the Dev team are saying that specing in one whole line in a class i.e. BH 0/0/0/4 for max LLC damage is dabbling I don’t agree, and I would advice caution to Devs that want to move skills in a line at 3 or 4 (3 or 4 in the line that is) to Master in order to force people to make a commitments to the class. At most styles or special moves for a weapon or skill should be moved from 2 or 3 to 4, but not from 3 or 4 to Master. Case in point, there is a rumor floating around that the BH pistol line is going to loose Eye Shot in (BH Pistol 2 I think) and it will be moved to Master. At the end of each line there is a title over your head be it Dead Eye, Expert Bounty Hunter, etc those titles should mean something other than stepping stones to Master. They do now.. that is why I play this game, take that away and you take away the pleasure of the game for me and many others.


So what should be done in order to get players to commit to a class?...


Additions apposed to subtractions…
For example BH Pistol again. Instead of moving Eye Shot to 3, 4 or Master. Add an Eye Shot 2 to Master. Rifleman have multiple Mind Shots why not BH. Instead of taking away skills on any class make the Master skill of that line more appealing by not taking things away out of the 3 and 4 skill level boxes. (Again Master CH is omitted since having a level 50 pet is pretty powerful and makes PvPing a lot easier when you get to run around and let your pets do the work)

I never knew Imperial forces were so weak... The Imperials are suppose to represent the strength og the Empire, the force that took system aftert system restoring order to the Galaxies!!! Yet it seems the Empire is being crippled, and not by Rebels, but by DEV nerfs...


I agree with one pet out at a time, and you could aslo only make that rule for an At-Stso Rebels can still have 3 troops with them. While the Fire DoT makes no sense, I much rather take that then no regular PvE. Don't make them completely useless. The real purpose of an At-St is for war, you said that yourself TH, but...you guys already **edit**ed that up, so let us have some fun with the hard earned faction points!


This is what I want to see on patch updates if some sacrafice is needed:


*When using an At-St no other pets can be called


*All DoT (ei, Bleeding, Disease, etc.) except for Burn have been removed from At-Sts

You should be able to attack FS NPC's considering the imperial army is hunting them....

Well said Imspaced! FS NPC's should be considered Faction for us Imps if (lol If... WHEN) this patch goes through. Should even be on Faction Mission Terminals. (Rebs too for that matter for Dark type FS's).


Unlike a few, and like many others, I've worked my butt off to get one of these monstrosities. It's not out all the time (As a friggin' Deep Voice booms out telling me to be an Architect) for crafting. I use it to finish a few Explorer missions when I get bored and around 10 to go (from 40 or more). I've gotten my First and only Holocron with it's help (and I'd probably have never gotten unless I got a good roll if I grouped with honest people, which is also rare.)


Yes, a lot of this is Selfish on my part, but:


DOT's: Gotta Go (Unless your Flamethrower is hot enough to Weld or cut metal. Orange Flames won't get that job done)


Faction/NonFaction - PvP & PvE. If Used in PvE, hell, have a Degrade for Non-PvP Non-Faction Assisted Targets (Like using OverCharge2 with a Ranged) But not a Rediculous amount.


Please, don't give us something, get us used to it, then yank it from us. DAoC Was good at that, be better than they are (or were since I've not seen what's gone on since Launch of SWG)


Price? Keep them Expensive, but for the Emporer's Sake, lower them just a friggin' tad for our Faithful Alien Followers. They've proven their worth if they achieve, say 10K FP's or have a Lowering of the price at higher ranks.


Anyhoo. Be Safe no matter what happens.

even now AT-ST is useless in PVP. and with upcomming changes the AT-ST will suck even more in PvP.. furthermore u will not allow us 2 use it in PvE....


so basicly i wasted 56700 FP on my 3 AT-ST .......


Do all devs play freaking rebel whiners??

Its funny how Rebels say we whine about this shi-t when they are all commandos and **edit**ing dabblings CH's.... Dabbler....


Why is every rebel those 2 professions? Cause you all suck thats why. A) Most rebels dont know how to duel or fight and never enter a fight in PVP unless he has several friends behind him holding their hands. B) Every rebels has to use a Graul or Gurrek of sort to win.... and on most occassions STILL Lose.


SO before you Lukes and Han's Go getting a big head about this AT-ST nerf think how "uber" you really are and take a long look in the mirror. Cause your not. Try winning a duel or PVP without your pet next time "tough guy" , and if you think im wrong then i want you rebels to take a LONG look around out all the FT's and CH Dabblers... then you will understand how right i really am...

With the impending changes looming I would like to take this time to say a few words:


To the Developers .... WAY TO GO!!!! Personally I think ATSTs in the game as controllable pets was not a good idea because when it would be exploited like it has the masses were going to scream foul. The guide book talks about Battlefields in the game and this is where ATSTs belong ... on a battlefield.


For the people crying foul about where in all the Star Wars movies were the CHs? Alyhough most true and older fans of SW hate to watch it Episode One saw the Gungans using creatures. So if you want to keep crying about where in SW were there CHs now you have your answer.


As far as seeing pets run around a city that should not be. Pets should be called outside the city and need a camp to do it. Under the system that we have played for so long you will always see pets in town because they can only be called in town, home, or camp.


Oh yeah ... to everyone crying about the CH pets running around the cities ... when was the last time you saw three ATSTs running around inside a town much less a cantina in a SW movie???? Still waiting to see if that gets scripted for Episode 3.


In closing ... Devs keep up the good work with the game. No matter what you do someone is gonna complain so just keep soldiering on.

What gets me is all this DEV bashing. Most of you need a lesson in company structure. It goes like this:


1) CEO


2) Board of Directors


3) VPs and Directors


4) Upper management


5) Middle management


6) Lower management


7) Development, Public Relations, Customer Support, Office Staff, and everyone else.


Who do you think makes the decisions on what goes in, and what doesn't? Do you really think the development team, or their voices like TH and Blair, make the final decisions on what changes are made? Think again. On very few occasions recommendations from the bottom of the barrel get heard and implemented. The majority of changes are decided upon by people who aren't even involved in the actual game play. Think about it. Those of you like myself that are in a company that produces a software product, or any product know the chain of command. And therefore KNOW that the development team simply does what they are told, and give the occasional recommendation that usually gets ignored.

MAYBE WE, BEING ALL IMPS SHOULD BOYCOT FOR A FEW MONTHS. THEY DONT HAVE TO TAKE US SERIOUS BECAUSE THEY KNOW WE ARE TOO ADDICTED TO THE GAME TO LEAVE. BUT IF WE WERE TO BOYCOT THE GAME THEY WOULD HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM. CANT REALLY HAVE A WAR IF ONLY ONE SIDE IS AROUND.

Can you please add an option with the imperial recruiters to allow me to check in the equipment I checked out? I need to cash in my 3 worthless at-sts and maybe put a few new worthless cannons and worthless covert scanners around my tactical center because the last commando/CH who came through took out all the NPC's and cannons tanking with 2 grauls. Then with the leftovers I can buy some mines to put in my worthless minefield so they can let their rock beetles and sand beetles walk through and waste them all, allowing them free access to my expensive base. Good thing is, I am thinking the bases are bugged again because they have not been destroyed since the last patch. So 6 in one hand/half dozen in the other.


There's almost no point in being involved in this so called GCW because its either 100 rebs raidingbestine, killing the 5 participating imps or 100 imps raiding AH and killing the few diehard rebs willing to die for their cause.


Sure we can go raidplayer cities, but whats the point, they're all ghost towns.. So clean out any NPC presence , kill the lone citizen at his crafting station or in the cantina and leave. Too bad now, we can even let the militia /citywarn us so we can get a fight. "Hey guys, wait here and let us all go overt.. be right back. stand put, we're put a wompin on ya in 5 mins."


How about putting a full garrison of NPC forces in those cities to help out the inhabitants and to deter the lone pistoleer or commando controlling a whole town of yellow bellied deserters?


What is the point of getting faction points after this change? there's nothing worth buying "Hey, im a general in the imperial army" ya.. what do you got to show for it? I got this spiffy gray suit, but I cant wear the hat, and I have this crappy stormtrooper armor, but hell it looks cool. My house is furnished with50,000 credit chairs, Oh ya, i got a speed bump (ATST)in my pocket, wanna see it? Wait. theres some rebs walking around I dont want to perma-lose it because it took me 3 weeks to get. Hey wanna do some faction missions and get more points? Maybe we can sell them to some noob for 150 pts each and buy ourselves a vehicle.


Nah, lets just go raid anchorhead until our armor decays to dust.
