Of not being a 'live' Jedi as of yet...still hope before patch, anyway would it not be possible for color & damage crystals to be a loot only for Jedi's instead of every Non-Jedi & Jedi, with this way as it stands it would stand to reason that their would be a lot of Non-Jedi camping those mobs that do drop the color and damage crystals, so if it would be possible that ONLY Jedi's would be able to loot such an item, then these crystals would not be sold for outragious prices.

Just my $0.02 on this, but maybe something to consider.

As nice as it is to get developer interest in actual player experience in terms of hard stats...

Does it strike anyone else wrong that obtaining lightsaber crystals for Jedi-- especially Light Jedi-- revolves so heavily around slaughtering sentient NPC's, many of which aren't necessarily out right "evil"? Just smacks me as the totally wrong sort of gameplay and roleplay to hinge Jedi play (at least when it comes to building sabers) on.

~30 various force sensitives on Dantooine = 0 crystals

~200 Janta on Dantooine = 1 Damage, 1 Colour

Damage crystal was poor quality I think. Stats are in Taurin's TC2 Lightsaber thread, but I'm too lazy to check it.

Nightsisters killed ~200 (of which abt 8 were protectors rest were majority rangers/stalkers/sentinels and some initiates and gotten ZERO crystals

Tuskens killed ~ 500 gotten 2 crystals

1 color crystal off a warlord

1 damage crystal off a warlord (quality rating fair+10 dam)

but even with drop rate increased does it mean higher lvl mobs == more chance or is it evenly distributed across the mob lvls ?

If I have to go camp spawns just to make a lightsaber, you can bet I'm not going to be staying long. This has been brought up in the Jedi forums. Out of all the in-concept threads that were made to gather our input on the Jedi revamp, this is the best that you could come up with?

Excuse me if this comes off as flaming, or ranting, but this is the end result of my frustration with this profession.

Good Point.

Seriously, I have had it with mindless killing--for what, cystals that add 10 or so pts of power to your saber, pfffft. I'll just use good resources and color crystals in my sabers. Beats wasting my color crystals while killing 100's of npc'strying to finddmg ones.

Enough info here toshow nothing else is needed than pure blind luck. Exactly thesame as the old system.I wish someone could actually add some kind of JEDI content that allows me to usemy brain in orderto playthis game. Not rely on loot macros, not rely on abusing all of my friends, just a good dynamic puzzle here and there.

There is nochallenge here. It is monotonous boredom. I tested this system already in Live. And as it's been noted by SO MANY players... It is stupid. Quest the frikkin thing. If you want to be lazy, make it a limited time, "kill this mob" quest(ala Knight Trials).

If these are the new guys dropping the loot, then they should drop it. We shouldn't need to spend days of farming to get 1.

A few days ago, 3 of us went out to smackdown nightsisters.

72 NS Protectors = 10 had credits, nothing else

80 NS Outcasts = 12 had credits, nothing else

8 Singing Clan Dragoons = nothing

4 Singling Clan Archwitches = 1 damage crystal with pretty lame stats (-2 dmg, -0,41 speed, -8 force. The force was nice, but... )

There were a bunch of lesser NS killed, but I remember keeping tabs on the above stats since they were 'interesting' mobs, and calculations are based on the number of spawns we worked.

The previous day we found and wiped out 18 juvenille canyon krayts and 6 canyon krayt dragons. We found some great tissues, and segments, but no pearls at all so can't comment on stats.

Overall, it was quite disappointing.

Funny enough, we played on live during a break at the fanfest and found 3 Ancient Canyon Krayt Dragon spawns, and found a total of 6 pearls! One Ancient even had 2, though the yellow exceptional pearl that was one of the twowas one of the worst pearls I'd ever seen lol.

That being said, I still believe the crystals damage range is far far too low if the cap Dmg increase is only 50 on a 'uber' crystal. That should be more around the average, with the high end at least 100 forthe effort to be 'reasonable' and a 4th gento really mean that much given the skill point, experience cost and fact a lot of the damage is mitigated/toughness reduced.
