Yes, as my TKA (I mean Master Dancer, Entertainer, Musician, ID, DE, BE, Arch, WS, AS, Scout, Artisan, Smuggler, BH, Marksman, Pistoleer, Carbineer, Rifleman, Brawler, Swordsman, Pikeman, Fencer, Tailor, Chef) grinds Entertainment healing while I work, I want to know...

DOES THIS MEAN CHANGING HOW WE UNLOCK FS?

Please say yes, forget the whiners, they begged for it too.

Since everyone like FC quotes.

You are the all-singing, all-dancing crap of this world, like a monkey ready to be shot into space. Space monkey. Ready to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

I agree. The penalty for dying isn't harsh enough. Randomly lose a skill? And only if you've alreadydied 3 times already this week? Puh-lease!

Although I agree current system is too harsh, this is swinging the pendulum way too far the other direction.

Can we get some clarification on wether the system of becoming FS is changing or is this only FS changes?

I very much like the idea of the path through jedi being more quest oriented. Simply spending hours upon hours killing medium to low level creatures does not seem how a jedi would master his skills.

I also agree with the temporary fixes to permadeath. Too many Jedi are either quitting the game or simply not playing their jedi characters because of the risk/reward problem.

What I still do not like is the path to opening the FSCS. I believe this should be far more quest oriented that it currently is. Simply being a grindaholic till I open the slot is not very starwarsy to me. I do not, however, think that the path to jedi should be easier. With the new update comming it should be even harder. There are already five jedi in my guild of 25, and we have another 5 or so with that are very close to unlocking (10 or more professions). This is a fun guild to play in, butover the next month or so we will all be jedi. Jedi are supposed to be rare and spread over the remote corners of the galaxy. That there are 5 of them all hanging out in the cantina on Endor seems like a joke to me.

How about middle-ground, no 3 death permadeath but each time you die you loose a skill box? No free deaths each week.

"I can not properly describe the wound Terrel's tone has opened within me: the way he says stinking Jedi tells me more than I want to know about what Depa has doen to our Order's name on this planet. It was not so long ago that every adventurous boy and girl would have dreamed of being a Jedi.

Sounds like a better move towards a balance. To all those who fear a ton of jedi running around, I point out that right now you see NONE because however you might worship continuity, it makes for ass gameplay to have weeks of your work flushed down the toilet. A balance is needed, and this is as step in the right direction. Deaths will still have meaning, and Jedi will be forced to retreat for weeks for death points to evaporate....much better than losing all their work.

As for easing the restrictions on becoming a jedi...well, we'll see what they do in that regard. I don't mind having to master profressions, I do object to mastering professions I have no interest in. I would much prefer a quest-based system based on my play, my activity in the world, and my "sensitivity".

I for one thank the devs!! Truly.

As far as there being potentially Jedi everywhere, I say this; I would rather have Jedi everywhere that actually attempt to role-play getting there, and potentially role-play once there than having nothing but an EQ powergamer class.

Why did Lucas Arts marketing department create a site that promoted Jedi?

Why is SOE changing the failed Jedi system?

The answer is simple, thats what the people want!!!

Thanks again SOE (TH in particular!!)

The second phase will be to rebuild the Jedi system to be quest-oriented; and toinclude the familiar elements of Force Sensitivity, Jedi-oriented quests, as well as many other elements the developers and the community feel should make up the process of becoming a Jedi. (It should also be noted that players who have put in work towards becoming a Jedi will not lose their effort. Some sort of recognition of players' efforts will be included in the new system.)

Does this have to do with AFTER you open your FSS, or before? I am all for a better more "Jedi" way of gaining the FSS (I hate the current system), but I do also have friends who are closing in on opening it, and would be pretty upset if they lost ground on it.

This is my question as well.

fix bh droids then so we can kill them then you won't have a bunch of master jedi or sith running around losing no skills.
