Thread: Friday Feature Jan 23rd Jedi Revamp
Yes, as my TKA (I mean Master Dancer, Entertainer, Musician, ID, DE, BE, Arch, WS, AS, Scout, Artisan, Smuggler, BH, Marksman, Pistoleer, Carbineer, Rifleman, Brawler, Swordsman, Pikeman, Fencer, Tailor, Chef) grinds Entertainment healing while I work, I want to know...
DOES THIS MEAN CHANGING HOW WE UNLOCK FS?
Please say yes, forget the whiners, they begged for it too.
my hats off to the devs.
At least it should be this way untill bugs are cleared up. : )
and right now I see GREATNESS! rejoice my young apprentice!! even you who are so reckless can achieve the status of Jedi! though lose a hand you will, yes.
I'm all of a sudden looking forward to unlocking my slot =^_^=
thanks,
made me day, this did.
Sounds like a better move towards a balance. To all those who fear a ton of jedi running around, I point out that right now you see NONE because however you might worship continuity, it makes for ass gameplay to have weeks of your work flushed down the toilet. A balance is needed, and this is as step in the right direction. Deaths will still have meaning, and Jedi will be forced to retreat for weeks for death points to evaporate....much better than losing all their work.
As for easing the restrictions on becoming a jedi...well, we'll see what they do in that regard. I don't mind having to master profressions, I do object to mastering professions I have no interest in. I would much prefer a quest-based system based on my play, my activity in the world, and my "sensitivity".
I for one thank the devs!! Truly.
As far as there being potentially Jedi everywhere, I say this; I would rather have Jedi everywhere that actually attempt to role-play getting there, and potentially role-play once there than having nothing but an EQ powergamer class.
Why did Lucas Arts marketing department create a site that promoted Jedi?
Why is SOE changing the failed Jedi system?
The answer is simple, thats what the people want!!!
Thanks again SOE (TH in particular!!)
VolatileMan
This is my question as well.

The second phase will be to rebuild the Jedi system to be quest-oriented; and toinclude the familiar elements of Force Sensitivity, Jedi-oriented quests, as well as many other elements the developers and the community feel should make up the process of becoming a Jedi. (It should also be noted that players who have put in work towards becoming a Jedi will not lose their effort. Some sort of recognition of players' efforts will be included in the new system.)
Does this have to do with AFTER you open your FSS, or before? I am all for a better more "Jedi" way of gaining the FSS (I hate the current system), but I do also have friends who are closing in on opening it, and would be pretty upset if they lost ground on it.
