Congratulations, a hotfix that broke something that didn't need fixing.

Can we have some updates on how to get round the launch pad issues in one place, for XP and Win2000 please?

If anything positive comes from this latest "fix" (remind you that the launch pad was NOT broken) it is that people are incredibly frustrated with the energy spent on stuff that is Jedi related, and not related to the overwhelming number of players who do not have or care to ever play a Jedi.

The lists existingbroken specials and broken promises is so long and storied it is the stuff of legend within the gaming community.

PLEASE.....fix ONE thing every week. Just one....from the various lists on the profession forums.

Although I am not one....I suggest you begin with Smuggler.

Kind regards,

Guys, this hotfix isn't about the launchpad. While we can't give feedback on a fix when we can't get into the game, the hotfix has nothing to do with the launchpad. The LP issue is separate. Also, the LP isn't just for JTL, it works either/or. If you can get it to work. But the hotfix didn't break the LP, the LP was just buggy when it was updated yesterday.

SO FIX THE LAUNCHPAD shine dog you are wrong as usual....

I fail to see how I am wrong "as usual" as I hardly ever post anything. But like I said fool, check the Technical Support forum. This is a thread regarding feedback for the hotfix issues. I fail to see anything in there pertaining to:

* Fixed issues with launchpad failing to retrieve graphics for new skin.

Do you? Game hotfixes don't even begin to download until after the launchpad is loaded so I don'tknow how all of you that think your inability to get through the launchpadis somehow related to this hotfix.

As a start, try here:

-and here:

And if those fixes do not work for you, try reading the Technical Support forum which is what it is there for.

What a kind and helpful way to redirect people to the proper place! Not. Maybe if you were less offensive, other people wouldn't argue with what you say and simply take your excellent advice. Being thicker-skinned than most people, I ignored the "fool" comments and simply followed your links to find what I needed. Thank you. But you might try to lighten your attitude a little. People are justifiably unhappy about not being able to log in and yet we're asked for feedback on a fixmany of uscan't even try out. And putting out a hotfix around the same time as pushing out a buggy LP was just begging for this sort of confusion on the part of the players. It's understandable.

I apologize for my part in derailing your thread, Tiggs.

Again: the launchpad issues and the hotfix are separate things, everyone.

Misc.

  • Delivery and crafting mission NPC's will no longer dynamically spawn. There will now be a single NPC who handles all pick up and deliveries in each location.

I haven't had a chance to see for myself (been helping with Beta), but I suspect that this will go a long way to reducing the lag that may people (even those of us with well-maintained high-end computers) experience in the static cities.

A couple weeks ago, there was an early-morning rollback and for some reason, none of the NPCs spawned in Bestine. No trainers, no bystanders... and the choke I usually experience when entering the city was pleasantly absent.

And I always found it annoying to try and find which NPC was your contact amid a small crowd of them - especially since most of them were programmed to respond in the most rude fashion possible.

I'll hop on and go give it a try. I expect it will be an improvement.

These quest are all nice and all, but .... the CAPS are horrible !!!

Why in gods name is there a cap onXP-points, anddo you loose out on everything over that cap ?

Example:

I'm doing heightened senses ..... and i can use scout and merchant to convert.

scout : capped at 30K .... converts to 3750FS

Merchant : capped at 10K .... converts to 2500FS

Totals: 6250FS

So for every 6250 FSI have to make a trip to the village .... for the first box in let's say Luck, you need 175K .... means i have to make 175/6.25 = 28 trips to the village !!!! And that's only for the easiest level .... for one tree I need to travel 1225/6.25 = 196 times to the village ...

Ihave my residence in Corellia, and a ticket costs me 2400 to travel to Dathomir ....

I think this is not acceptable .... remove the silly caps .... spend your time on usefull things, and make the game playable and enjoyableagain.
