Didn't have any trouble quoting you. I haven't had that problem with Dev quotes for a while, actually, but maybe I just haven't been doing it recently.

I don't believe the postdid. I didn't have any trouble in quoting it. This is particulary an issue where the dev sets forth a
1:Toon Name
2: Server
3: Etc.
list of the information wanted, as in a bugs thread.

Even TH?
He's a terminal offender, we've been after him for ages.
AO
Seconded!

In addition to the Top 3 bugs or whatever, how about getting really daring and having the Oldest 5 bugs!
Outlook Express works better. Used it to put together the entire "All Things Droid" JTL guide.

Respectfully,
Or you could just ask Lithium to automatically strip the offending style tag as it does with some other HTML that is disallowed. Usually it will say...

if you try to submit any HTML that it doesn't recognize. (Such as < JT > or any other made up code that isn't real HTML)

I know this might be slightly off-topic, but since we are discussing the website, do you anticipate us getting an equivalent to http://stationplayers.station.sony.com/? I would love the ability to chat with my guild while surfing.
Station Players offers automatically updated character profiles, item databases, and much more. Additionally, every guild will also get their own free web site where they can post news articles, screen shots and guild specific forums. Premium services allow you to chat with your guild in-game, check to see who is online, and have your guild's activities immortalized in a "Wall of Fame".

Having no GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUMS is not a surprise, since they were cut in the first place under the same regime.
However what you have left us with is more of the same ole same ole lack of feedback mechanism, because as you acknowledge, if players have issues with the game, the bottom line is that if its not a specific issue to a Profession (Forum), there's no appropriate place to post about it, and that's a fact. When we try to post about it in forums where its not appropriate, which is, again, basically anywhere other than specifically related to a specific profession, we're deleted, locked, and suspended for doing so, and our feedback, issues, and comments are shut out.
That, sirs and madames, is no communication at all, and you have failed.
If you're not going to provide a GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUM, then seems like you can provide some other forums around broader gameplay elements, such as "Game Economy & Balance," "Game Interface," and "Game Performance," for examples. Give us SOMETHING to work with, anything. It's not all about Professions when we have issues to bring to the table. You just hit a strike out on your first time at bat.
We have a new relations group, but it appears we still have the same ole management making decisions in the same ole way. That is a major blow for the future of our game.
Further, Forums feedback issues aside, your initial post sounds like a bitching session from the Devs, and is 3/4ths what you're going to hold players accountable for in behavior, and not what you're going to do for the players, and more of what you're not going to do for the players.
Honestly, you get a 2 out of 10 for this first post. Very disappointing.

There is such a board. It's called the Core Systems forum.
Core Systems
The purpose of this forum is for constructive discussion about design, mechanics, gameplay and issues not covered by other profession based forums.
In this forum players are welcome to constructively discuss new ideas, bring up issues, and comment on various other issues not relating to other profession forums.
The Core Systems forum used to be the General Discussion Forum. Except that they burried it in the Professions Tree... It's neither well known now, nor frequented, nor used as a common tool by either players or devs to address the game issues. Look at the number of posts to this forum from the devs in the last 6 months...
The general game issues should be front and center off the main menu with awareness and use by both parties..., currently used by neither due to awareness and being burried. Ask yourself why they took the general discussion forum and burried it in the Profession menu in the first place?
All I can really say about Calandryll_SOE's post is:
/Clap!!!!
Good stuff!!

The sound of this thread sounds like nothing has changed. It reads like a player bashing and trumpeting the old corps SOE team lashing back at the community. Thou shalt not abuse thy forums. Yeah its our fault we have issues that aren't being replied to, its our fault they dont have clear forums organization to actually go out and solicit our input and feedback, rather than hide it from us in the professions forums. I read alot about what is expected of our forums behavior, dont hear alot about forums moderators' behavior and abuse of peeps attempting to give input but not having a place to do so that meets their inadequate forums structure, such as:
- Jedi and game balance
- PvP vs PvE and respecting both classes of players
- Inadequate storage in lots
- Lack of viability or lack of equity (skill pts.) of all professions that aren't combat or weaponsmith/armorsmith toons
- FRS and forced PvP
- Faction-related game elements and design
- What else, proly dozens more not specific to a Profession per se, but the general game experience...
Where do we discuss these things
???????????????????????
???????????????????????
???????????????????????
???????????????????????
Because every time we try, they get locked and deleted and that's complete ############.
Where do we discuss these things Hmmmm????
Edit - P.S. Why exactly can't we rate SOE rep's posts like ours are? Why are they immune from feedback? Kinda the way things are around here, immune from feedback... says alot.

It's something we are discussing but don't have any definite plans for yet.

I, for one, would definitely pay $2.99 a month for these features if they were available to us!!
