Thread: Weekly Roundtable Discussion (Week Ending 2-9-04)
I have 2 beefs that need some attention:
1. In my city (Hardcore Village, Naboo, Intrepid) some of our houses have a bug where items disappear from inventory when you leave the house, go into the gulid hall, the conditionsvary, butare very annoying for commerce as I'm moving items into the guild hall for sale on my vendors. The only solution is to wait for the server reset every morning so there's always a 24-hour delay from when I would like to do something to when I can actually do it. Very annoying. Fix it please.
The reason for this is that creatures have a limited amount of XP to give and that XP is split by who does x amount of damage to a mob.
Those players in a group that can outdamage everyone else (commandos with FT, bounty hunters with LLC, tkas) wind up getting the bigger chunk of the xp, while other weapon-users (carbineers, smugglers, etc...) get the short end of the stick.
Now, before you say "So what, it's fair. The guy with the bigger gun did more work therefore he deserves more" you have to look at what's resulting from this situation. You have a split here from two points of view. You have the Commando or the BH that thinks "I could be getting more XP from these mobs if that dude wasn't here taking some of it with him AND I can probably handle that mob by myself."
The Carbineer looks at the situation and thinks "Hmmm...I could get jsut as much XP killing X mob with less risk by myself...so why am I bothering with this guy?"
So, you have the two part ways, go fight by themselves, get really bored and blah blah blah
I guess the point of this is to ask why aren't there any group-xp bonuses like in most MMOs out there. While these bonuses make grouping a little more nessecary then most would want, grouping does make these games a lot more bearible from just the human interaction you share while on a hunt a few people. The larger the group, the better the bonuses, which means the harder the kills or missions a group would take in order to maximize their bonuses. This, in turn, makes the game a bit more fun.
Well...I'm babbling now...dI'm tired and ready to go home so if none of this made sense just go ahead and pass this post by, and don't take another look

Why has the bug that prevents wookiees from using C12 fragmentation grenades not been fixed yet? Its a spelling problem that seems like an easy fix. The cert for wookiees is "Cert fragmentation lightagmentation light" while the cert for everyone else is "Light Fragmentation grenade"
Wookiees have been neglected and ignored for so long... sad, but I don't think they're concerned about them in the slightest.
From the lack of armor to misc. bugs... NOTHING from the developers as to what they're going to do and when.
