Thread: IT 6-6: Imperial Crackdown: Some changes made based on In-Test Feedback
Agreed. Seriously. Why are we necessary again? We get a 95% chance of evasion at master. GOOD. We need a chance to fail. Fine. But Imperials....it doesn't matter if they get caught or not! So you don't need smugglers. Just find an imperial.
Other than that I like the systerm. But prepare for a lot of migration to the Imperial army, and for all smugglers to go rebel or stay neutral. Cuz lord knows the imperials don't need us for smuggling. And neutrals. A faction point hit? Why would that bother them? They're neutrals. And as long as they stay neutrals it'll never matter. So the only people who need smugglers now are rebels. Well, glad I'm a rebel. I chose the right side for the right reasons after all. Who knew I was psychic?
This may have been asked and answered but...
Covert: Covert Rebels will be identified to all surrounding Imperials (Turned Overt)
Does this mean TEF or actually going overt (with the hour delay for going back to covert).

This is a good question. Slicing will be viewable on the sliced item in publish 7.
Although remember, just having the item on you isn't enough to get caught. They have to make thier scanning rolls...
While I'm glad this was finally answered, the answer itself seems... well dumb.
Devs: "In the imperial crackdown, if you have sliced stuff you could get in big trouble!"
Players: "Uh, how do we tell we have sliced stuff?"
Devs: "Oh, you can't. Oops, our bad. You can just live with it for a month right?"
Anyhow, here's my consistency argument: If I can't tell an item is sliced, and it's in my inventory, then Joe Stormtrooper shouldn't be able to tell either.
I *really* hope you consider a hot-fix just to add the ability to view the 'sliced' status.

You all forgot to add in there that using a droid's Item storage module will allow one to get contraband past the scan safely (in most every case that I've heard of on TC).
If you don't have a droid with storage now, folks................go get one.
