This is very good, but please for the time beeing fix the FFA mode?

Currently theres no way of tracking who looted what, its been bugged for quite some time.

All we need in addition to this is a different system to determine lootrights - instead of the damage based one we have now - so we can avoid killstealing, but at the same time keep a fair system.

Perhaps also throw in a round-robin mode too?

As this is a copy of the looting system in Everquest 2, I'm wondering would you be considering implementing, what I can only describe as combat lockout, where you or your group, if your attacking something then only you or your group can attack it, no other player who decides to kill it so he gets looting rights, or the xp, can attack it unless you allow him, or ask him to. And could also help with camping, for example at the nyax cave, the campers sit there all day with highpowered DXR-6 rifles and no-one has a chance to do as much damage as them so they get to loot it everytime, but if they dont get to attack it everytime then it may disuade them from sitting there all day. Another option, lottery for mutltiple groups or mutliple single players who attack the same thing. Not one of my best ideas.

This is a pointless patch of fix or whatever you want to call it and this is why:


I dont have a problem looting or dividing the loot with the people I group with. When looting once an item is looted we roll a die and have numbers asigned to a person, a person's number comes up they get the loot. THere are atoher ways to do it to. but we do not group with people we do not trust anyway.


Looting problems come into play when you have a group of 12 that attack a creature and a solo jedi comes along and steals the loot.


The fix for this should be liek in WoW, the group or person that first engages a creature should have exclusive rights to said creature. This way a group of 12 cannot have their creature they have engaged stolen by one person and cause more people to become irritated and quit the game.

Lottery - The lottery system allows players to vie for which items they would like. A player can choose to pass on an item or to be included in the roll for it. When a corpse gets looted by anyone in the group, every member gets a window showing the list of item(s) on the corpse. Each player can either click on the individual items to bid or pass on them. Each party member can also choose, "Select All" which automatically places a bid for them for each item on the list. If no action is taken within 30 seconds by a player, the system automatically passes for them and they are no longer in contention for the item(s) on the corpse. If the player who wins the Lottery on an item does not have enough room in their inventory, they receive a message telling them their inventory is full, and the item stays on the corpse until someone else tries to loot it again. Once the item is successfully removed from the corpse the entire party is informed via system message of who looted, and what item was looted.


This looks like this will realy slow game play down, when your attacking 5 or 10 Nightsisters, and all a sudden a pop up window tells you there a CDEF pistal there do you want to bid for it and then 2 Elders on are you, time to clone.


What about changing this to like harvesting everyone in the group has a chance to get something. So everyone or noone gets some thing. So player 3 and 7 get a krayt pearl and 7 scales and the rest get nothing.


Orchange it so thatits a random looter not thefirst one to Loot, so maybe the 1st 2nd or 3rd lotter gets nothing but the 4th one does. So it several members in the group do not loot (afk or what ever), then maybe the group willmiss out becouse it the 7th looter who stepped out fora drink. So if you have a group of 7 the 1st looter would have a 1 in 7 chance getting something, no more Nija Looters.

I like the sound of this! Giving the groups the choice of how they want to distribute the loots is a great change. Very nice!

You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. What about distance from the kill? (Are you going to be teleporting rug threads 9km across solo groups?)


What happens when the Loot Master leaves the group or is kicked? Is another player selected at random? Does the group looting status change, and if so to what?


Can I group with a hunting party, not actually go into the field to fight, get designated as Master Looter, and just sit back home next to a vendor or bazaar or in a storage house, and pick through and save/sell/delete loot as it comes in, while my team just fights full time?

I deffinately like the idea of the leader setting a master loot person this way the luck tree that some people have can go into effect and it can be fully utilized.

If i remember right they used to have these back in the early days of the game...must of spent an hour trying to figure out how i got tusken clothing even though i didnt loot any thing.
