Thread: Group Looting Changes
Currently theres no way of tracking who looted what, its been bugged for quite some time.
All we need in addition to this is a different system to determine lootrights - instead of the damage based one we have now - so we can avoid killstealing, but at the same time keep a fair system.
Perhaps also throw in a round-robin mode too?

Lottery - The lottery system allows players to vie for which items they would like. A player can choose to pass on an item or to be included in the roll for it. When a corpse gets looted by anyone in the group, every member gets a window showing the list of item(s) on the corpse. Each player can either click on the individual items to bid or pass on them. Each party member can also choose, "Select All" which automatically places a bid for them for each item on the list. If no action is taken within 30 seconds by a player, the system automatically passes for them and they are no longer in contention for the item(s) on the corpse. If the player who wins the Lottery on an item does not have enough room in their inventory, they receive a message telling them their inventory is full, and the item stays on the corpse until someone else tries to loot it again. Once the item is successfully removed from the corpse the entire party is informed via system message of who looted, and what item was looted.
This looks like this will realy slow game play down, when your attacking 5 or 10 Nightsisters, and all a sudden a pop up window tells you there a CDEF pistal there do you want to bid for it and then 2 Elders on are you, time to clone.
What about changing this to like harvesting everyone in the group has a chance to get something. So everyone or noone gets some thing. So player 3 and 7 get a krayt pearl and 7 scales and the rest get nothing.
Orchange it so thatits a random looter not thefirst one to Loot, so maybe the 1st 2nd or 3rd lotter gets nothing but the 4th one does. So it several members in the group do not loot (afk or what ever), then maybe the group willmiss out becouse it the 7th looter who stepped out fora drink. So if you have a group of 7 the 1st looter would have a 1 in 7 chance getting something, no more Nija Looters.
very very nice it leaves those of us that prefer a free for all because we trust our friends to remain as such. and still allow options for all the main looting styles i like it a lot!!
