Thread: Faction Insurance Day Pass: How much?

TH: So yesterday you say there is no way at all to distinguish between a pvp and pve death, thus the reason 1% has to remain for insured items. After all, a death is a death is a death.

But today, you're saying there is a way to check whether it was pvp or pve, but won't comment on removing 1% completely.

Would you mind clarifying this for us? If it's simply a matter of the DEV team not wanting to remove the 1% penalty, then why not just say that, instead of creating some elaborate lie for us?

This is only valuable if the pass applies to ALL combat, PvE and PvP, faction and non-faction.

If it only applies to factional combat, give it for free. Nobody wants to have their goods decay in PvP, and if they have to pay for it, nobody's going to PvP. PvP is already mauled, try to salvage it.

If it applies to all combat, factional and non-factional, and all deaths, I'd say 100-250 FP per day, tops. It would encourage people to run out and participate in some faction battling to get the FP to spend, and reward their participation in the GCW with the ability to have their goods survive.

It is simple...confuse us into submission...

I like the idea of having rank detemerine the cost too... lower rank higher cost.

How about something like 10% of your planned loss in FP from PvP DB's? Like 5 fp would cover 1 DB, 9 2 DBs, etc.Once youdie more times than youpaid for, item decay sets in. Or is this not possible codewise?

I like this answer. I doubt it would be hard codewise, but it would mean they'd have to add some way for us to monitor how much faction insurance we have left at any given time...

Plus, there would still have to be a time limit on it. Otherwise someone will dump 10k faction points on a recruiter and live fearless for a looong time.

I second that... or third it... whatever we're up to now.

I agree. Say 300 for private, 10 for colonel

Are you serious? How about it costs nothing like it should? No decay when insured, especially on PVP.

Oh I'm sure it we will be charged 500 FP or something equally silly for it, so no one actually uses it much but hey no biggy right? After all it's just the PLAYERS that don't like it. As longs as someone behind a desk at SOE thinks it's a great idea you guys should just throw it right on in....

i think it should be implemented by when you die it disappears and you need to get them from a recruiter after every death but there free as long as your overt and if you go covert they disappear from inventory.

5000cr for covert or 3000cr for overt.

Paying with faction make little sence role-playing wise.

P.s. I like decay.

This is not a good idea period....armor decays fast enough. Trust me...I am an armorsmith this has not helped my business...its made me get too rich and to quit making armor for pubic since its too much of a hassle.

All the stupid smiley faces in the world(which you annoyingly put in every post) wont hide the fact that all of us playersgot lied to and will now have to deal with this bogus decay system for another 2 months, im being generous...with this group of devs maybe i can hope for a "monthly" publish every other month...maybe.
