1. What are your issues?
A change has been made to the distance at which pets follow, now causing them to stand in exactly the same place as the character instead of a couple of metres away as they always did before. This has had a two-fold impact;
- Targetting is much harder on terminals and other times the pet is with you
- Combat is now verging on the farcical. As long as neither the pet or mob make any attempt at all to change position after the initial contact, you are usually ok. However, as soon as one of them moves, the other tries to reposition itself for its attack, causing the first to move again, and so on. This causes the pet and mob to rapidly run off into the distance, usually only stopping once they are about 70m away, but moving again as soon as you get back into their 'view range' at 64m
- The specials commands are completely unusable atm. The basically don't work anyway, but CH were smart enough to figure out a work around macro that gets them working most of the time. However, this macro has to include a 'follow other' command to get the pet to break combat so it can then do the special on command. However, because of this change in follow range, all that happens is the pet closes to zero metres, the target backs off to its attack range and we get the same cycle all over again.
2. What is the Pet description, specifically (type/level, etc)?
Anything and everything. I have pets ranging from CL 28 to CL 68 and its affecting every single one of them. While I haven't fought using all of them, enough different ones have shown this problem to make me sure its not just one model type, and every single on of them is showing the zero metre follow problem.
3. Was it a Bio engineered pet or a tamed pet?
Both. Thunderheart, please don't get caught up in thinking this is some sort of problem with dependency or fierceness stats as has been speculated - it isn't. Its a change in follow ranges and, by extrapolation, attack ranges and has nothing at all to do with any individual pet stat. Its happening on aggressive wild pets, high fierceness BE pets, low fierceness BE pets and non-aggressive wild pets. Someone either messed up a number or changed the follow range hoping it would fix some other issue, and its broken pet combat.
Thanks for your input.
No need to thank us as long as something is done with it. If that sounds a little bitter its because it is - this change almost feels like someonesaw how we had worked around the pet specials commands not working and broke something else to make our workaround fail

I still have no luck in taming my (BE)Kimo that i got a while back. It has approx. 14k ham , (no sure what CL that is). I have got several pieces of BE clothing for 'Taming Wild / Vicious creatures' and i lack the ability to tame. Can someone plz tell me what i am missing? .....is the pet able to be tamed?.......do i need better BE clothes?

narglatch level 10 bio-pet(s)
Master Creature Handler cannot transfer.
Pop-up says, " You have too many pets...."
Tried this twice with 2 different MCH's and 2 differentNarglatch level 10 bio-pets.
Droid and vehicles work fine.
Data pad and waypoint pad are the same percentage 59%
Have removed 4 other pets for transfer.
Has cost me over 100k (sorry had to vent a little)

Where to start?!?!?!
Level 50+ creatures untamable by masters without clothing
THe amazing warping pets simply issue an attack command and poof the pet is gone and the target attacks you, or you dismount and all of a suddenly your mount is 1KM away.
/tellpet sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
chat lag in combat 2-10 second delay in issueing pet commands
why are tamed pets weaker than their wild counterparts?
Creatures Useles in PvP (unless you are fighting a unarmored unarmed master artisan)
Special attack commands NEVER WORK!2. What is the Pet description, specifically (type/level, etc)?
EVERY PET I HAVE level range from CL1 to CL 50 (cause I can't tame anything above 50 even though I am a master!)3. Was it a Bio engineered pet or a tamed pet?
Both

Oh yeah AUTOSTORE!!! at any time (even the middle of combat so much for that 60 second delay)
A CH's weapons is their pets I assume it would be immediately fixed if any other professions weapon kept shifting to your equiped backpack and you needed a camp to retrieve it and couldn't be fighting to get it
Mostly TH you want to know the CH issues spend about 30 min browsing the CH boards. it will take that long to view and understand the impact they all have on the profession. Pets may have run rampant prior to patch 5, but now the only thing rarer than a MCH is a master Chef (which I assume will change shortly)

Having pretty much same problems as most in thread. It is highly annoying and makes playin hard.
As to the can't call pet, the sneaky devs make it so you must aquire BE taming clothes to allow you to call more aggressive BE made pets. Also, CHEF food also does this.

1)My pets are doing two things:
-Standing on top of me. 0 meters from my locations according to the game. I cannot see myself nor can other people see me because the pets are on top of me. I move and they move back on top of me.
-They seem to run away during a fight. I have to constantly call them back in battle or they will run 100 meters or more from me. They are not chasing anything, they are running away. Very strange.
2. What is the Pet description, specifically (type/level, etc)?
It is happening with all my creaturess:
Torton lvl 15
2 Gurcats lvl 21/26
Bearded Jax lvl 25
Bantha lvl 15
Vermook lvl 13
All pets do the same thing
3. Was it a Bio engineered pet or a tamed pet?
Gurcats ands Jax are bio. Rest are natural.
Also, please be advised that I am also experiencing the same problems with both my droids. A probot and a R3 unit. They don't run in a fight, but they are standing 0 meters from me. Basically on top of me.

As everyone else has stated, pets stand right on top of you when called or asked to follow.
Also, Iam having the problem of everything Iam trying to attack with my big spiders (Webmasters and Gaping Recluse)runs away from pet making combat almost impossible. I haven't tried fighting with any of my other pets. Sometimes if I do a quick follow + attack command the enemies will hold their ground and I can actually fight them.
I only have natural pets that I tamed myself.

1. Pets would frequently flee combat, even when only slightly wounded. This makes it very difficult to run after them
and heal them. Forced to have them follow me, heal them, then have them attack again. When my pets would behave,
the enemies would frequently flee. This includes maulers, a variety of imperial troops, and trade federation troops.
I also suffered the problem where the pets would stand on top of me (0m) making it difficult to see and interact with
people and the world.
2. I tried this with a lvl 24 BE Tybis, a BE Brackaset which will be lvl 39 but is currently lvl 26, a wild
Huurton Stalker (lvl 34 or 35 I think), and a wild Gleaming Lattern bird which is currently lvl 15 and growing.
3. Two BE pets, two pets I tamed in the wild. None of which I've ever had trouble with previously.

Pet storing seems to be back with a vengence. Not sure at what times, but it's often during combat.
Pets running while attacking seems to be happening with all but a few models. I believe this is an attack range issue that usually only happened with certain models, now happens with almost all. Pets are almost unusable as it is now with this running bug.
Pets are following more closely...too close. Pets, including droids are right on top of you now.
Pet pathing seems to be borked somehow. Pets are walking sideways more often than ever and often are slowing down or stop responding to commands all together.
Walking sideways happens just about all the time. Pets not responding to commands seems to be happening right after combat.
Some very harsh bugs that is making CH almost unplayable at the moment.

I was fighting with a CL54 Kimo (BE) and a CL25 GSP (natural) on Endor.
The kimo was basically worthless - running away for no apparent reason, and then refusing to come when called. The GSP fought like a champ and stood his ground. A lot of the critters I was fighting also ran like little girls - even aggressive ones.
Also - my pets stand ON me. (and each other), making things very difficult to do.
Wow 79 levels of pets? Hrm....i thought the MCH cap was 70.
