Thread: Desired Rewards

I didn't have the time to go through all nine pages of this post, so I don't know exactly what I'm repeating, but here goes:

First of all, I think a badge would be really cool, that way people know that you've taken the time to go through the entire quest, and it could be something that other people can see.

Secondly, I think it needs to be something useful and unique, but not something ultrapowerful. Maybe something that can be combined with other quests and such, like quest points, which can be used to purchase unique things, like faction points (but only with the faction you are doing the quest with), or one time use schematics for something that can be crafted in a generic crafting tool, but requires already crafted parts (so that crafters can make some money off this).

Finally, I think there needs to be something that can reward anyone that does the quest, not just the fighting classes with really cool weapons or armor. Maybe something like a "item powerup" which will allow a weapon to gain 10% to every state for a limited time, or armor, and also allow a crafting tool to gain an extra 10% experimentation something to that effect. The powerup would allow an additional weapon powerup to be added, giving the personthe ability to boost their weapon by 43%. You might have to not allow schematics to be made with those powerups to make sure there aren't uber items, but hey, a couple items here or there aren't going to be bad.

I think I'd be happy with any one of these choices. I think there needs to be a mind set to balance, so that there isn't going to be a ton of really crazy weapons, armor, or other things, but I think something other than a pat on the back would be nice.

Speaking as a crafter: Some new schematic, reward of 'special' resources (bonus stats), or perhaps some kind of skill bonus attachment related to my 'chosen craft'

Speaking as a combat: Prestige item or combat focused attachment. Perhaps the ability to 'join' non GCW factions. Become a member of corsec, or the trade federation or some other GCW group. Example, having to complete Jabba's themepark inorder to gain access to special jabba only missions.

Misc: Perhaps GCW reward of uniform with visiable rank insignia for doing those special missions from the recruiter (that they never have).

Iwould make quests for cool weapon powerups.

Or how about some kind of Boss Monster , and when you kill it , you get an entry in your Charcter sheet ,that everyone can see .Like Mutant Kryat Dragon Killer or something like that.

Or a trophy from the bossmonsters , like a head that you can hang ( lol ) on the wall in your house

I have no clue if this will get read being so far down the page list, but think about this:

Reward an extremely hard quest with....A SKILL POINT!

Make it rare, make it hard, and make it a one time quest. Make a few of them like one per planet or something. Make it random spawn like the hermit quest. Every master I know wishes they had that one or two extra points to get that last skill, instead of being maxed with two usless points left over.

Just a thought.

More stuffed animals! I've seen stuffed banthas but still don't know where to find them. How about stuffed Rancors and Dewbacks!

I would like to see some Unique things...
Special Schematics would be nice for us Architects - Furniture, etc. Theres Plenty of room for expansion... Especially as the Plants say potted Plant Style 1 (& there no other styles, etc) - It could just be manufacturing Schematic that lets us Create say 10 of the Items - Which would then mean we would have to source the Correct type of Steel, Copper, Aluminium, etc.

Chysgoda'-Master Bounty Hunter/Master Carbineer
Breadstick Chysgoda-Master Swords/Master Doc
Dook Silon-Master Smuggler, Master Squad Leader
Dynnamo Silon-Dark Jedi Knight

There is no place more unforgiving and truthful than a battlefield. Name,Rank, Means nothing your true colors show through. Unless you have experienced it you have no room to talk, the rules change and, or are broken lives and friends lost but in the end you still stand. Does that make you a Hero or Lucky?

Money don't buy everything, that's true.

But what it can't buy, I can't use.

I want money.

How about a nice chunk of change? The theme park missions give you little or no credits (Emperor's Retreat is giving me nothing for money, and a lot of weak weapons and broken items, Jabba was bugged when I did him so I got nothing, and Lady Valarian gave me around 25 credits per mission).

If there was a nice sized "epic" quest/dungeon, you could toss in a couple of interesting items like what was mentioned before (i.e. uber schematics etc). But a couple thousand credits would be nice too. That way you could buy yourself something nice with your reward....or pay the crafter who's making your uber schematic item.

Perhaps have profession-specific items. Creature Handlers get a little pet. Medics get some stims. Bounty Hunters get a flame thrower. Chef's get some food ingredients. Something like that.

And also don't make the epic quests repeatable, or at least not immediately repeatable. Otherwise you'll have power gamers grinding the epic quests and filling the world with uber-schematics, or they'll use it as a get-rich-quick-scheme or something. Maybe put a week long (real time) timer on it so you can only do the epic quests once a week.

I like the rewards for missions, things that crafters can't make. But I'm starting to see them everywhere...Maybe there isn't enough?

I totally agree with the one-off schematic that will allow a crafter to create a unique item - not necessary a piece of uber kit but unique none the less - like specialist pictures, furniture not available to the normal crafter or even if it's clothing or armour - something which aspect lets it stand out from the crowd.

Of course the resources needed to make it should be hard ones to find to make the item even more unique - we don' t want the market to be flooded.
