Me and a few friends of mine who are mid-level combat classes took a trip there the other day to see what the fuss was about. Getting to the first room and the 2 droids was enough explanation. What kind of reasoning could there possibly be to making those battle droids so insanely tough, not to mention respawning all the time? People talk constantly about keeping continuity with the films. If thats the case why is a battle droid able to withstand MUCH more punishment than a Droideka? It would seem to me that it should be the other way around. So once again, the same thing happened to me and friends as it did in the corvette; we got only two rooms into the area before we started falling apart and getting slaughtered. Once again, the SWG comes out with a new a funhouse thats insanely difficult except only to master groups.

HEY DEVS: MAKE A FUNHOUSE THAT MID to UPPER LEVEL CHARACTERS CAN ENJOY!

Throw in a new piece of armor or something that ISNT SUPPOSED to be SUPER RARE. Create a new vehicle that you DONT NEED MULTIPLE RARE PARTS FOR. Its getting kinda depressing knowing that there are only a select few that actually get to have fun when u release a new area that rewards players with something cool and exciting.

I never got to make it out to DWB when it first came out in Publish 9.2, but I did venture out after Publish 9.3 came out. Knowing that NPC would have their special abilities in full force, and hearing that it was insanely hard to begin with I had 2 groups go 40 in total. There was no novice profession in the group, and all the players themselves have beenaround on SWG since almost thestart. Figuring with about 5 TKA masters 2 master docs, 2 master CM's, 2 Jedi's and other high level Marksman type Characters (ie BH, Rifleman) I figured we have a chance. Both teams managed to get the key to gain access to the bunker and things looked like it was going well, however once we got through that locked door, pretty much every body was killed. The super battle droids would take more of a beating then any thing I've seen before. To be honest it was way entirely to hard, I love a challenge but that wasn't a challenge, that was a mockery. To the point that I don't think I would even try it again, I doubt even doubling the group size would even help. Doing that would just increase the lag and just make things more frustrating.

Im not sure if anyone ever reads what I write, but anyway.

If a group of 5 can go beyond the second door.. then it cant be to hard. Really. And if that very same group does it over and over again, it cant be to hard?

It IS hard, yes. Thats the whole point, the challenge. You wont succed the first time, probably not the second time either. The fifth time you might see some progress.

What people need to understand is that this place requires a different kind of approach than everything else in SWG, apart from maybee the corvette.

1) Teamplay. Its all about teamplay and group dicipline.

2) Tactics. Know where to stand, know where to fight. Keep your actual firepower safe and let them do their job. TKAs are great, but if they think they are there to deal damage, then think again. They are there to keep the real firepower safe.

3) Diciplin. People running around and taking on mobs solo, should be kicked from the group at once. Make the enemies come to yu so you dont aggro more.

(4) ) The number of "master" proffessions you bring has nothing to do with it. They might have their master badge, but are they masters? Do they know how how to use their proffession to benefit the group? They probably do so this is the least important point, but stil a valid point.

i havent been myself but i did look up thier stats. SBD are only 25% resistant to electric and BS Assassins are 55%. The ham on the SBD is 240k+. I dont know about master commandos but master BH cone shot generally hits health and action. Do you think a group of bounty hunters and commandos could take it. i mean my cone shot does 4000 to 5000 damage to every enemy infront of me in a 65m range about every 2 seconds so something 25% resistant would take about 3000ish in damage. So say 10 master BHs are facing 3 SBDs. If they all landed 8 out of 10 of thier shots that would total 240k damage on all 3. that would20 seconds of fighting. I know thats not the end of the fight but with half the damage gone already do u think with medical support its posible like this. Im just guessing so dont be rude.

From my limited experience of the DWB the key to success is a well managed group. Yes you need to have the right professions and equipment, but dicipline and leadership is what is really required.

Make sure you know what you are attacking.. a group of 10 people shooting 10 different targets is going to get you nowhere. Single out a target and all attack untill its killed. Then move on to the next. Good communication is vital...

Make sure you know your way around. Know where is best to take on the mobs, and where is safe for a quick regroup.

Move fast. The respawn is crazy, so dont linger. Once a room is cleared move on. Dont stop unneceserarly

And most important (as im sure you are all aware by now!) LEAVE YOUR AOE ATTACKS AT HOME

I thought the DWB was a lot of fun. Hard but really fun. It was great to be in a large group doing my part and watching others to the same. The only problem I had with the DWB was that the re-spawn rate was too fast. It took a lot of time to kill one SBD, and sometimes, by the time you killed that one, another re-spawned in its place. Other than that, I enjoyed it.
