Well its almost 3 days now ... im a patch9 unlocker , 101 badges , glowy. I have not had a visit from the old man yet....

Why did the pub 9 unlockers have to wait like the rest of the populace? I mean really, would they honestly REALL CARE about the content in the Village?
I recall also reading that the Village will prepare when they are Padawan, is that really the truth? Or just another way to delay them from what they seek?
IMHO, the post-pub 9 unlockers should have just gotten their 2nd slot, their jedi robe and start crafting their glowsticks on the very day pub 10 came out!
Why create this mess of keeping these players who have certainly earned their FS slot? I truely fail to see the logic in doing so. Not only that, it creates a whole heap of negativity against the Devs, players threatening to quit, plenty of frustration and general disbelief of how ridiculous the post-pub 9 unlockers were being treated.
Let me put it this way, would YOU (TH) enjoy it if:
1. Pub 8 came along and you had grinded >25 professions and no unlock. Feel frustrated and let down. But you perserve (sic) and continue to grind.
2. Then you unlock in Pub 9 and have to wait.... Feel elated and then disappointed, but tugging at hope that in Pub 10 you can start waving your lightstick.
3. ... and wait for the Devs to test their new Jedi System in the TCs?
4. Come Pub 10 and you now have to wait for some old man to appear... and give you a crystal and wait even more for some hoods to come along and waylay you in the wilderness?
How would you feel TH? That is my feedback to you.

If he has any spine like me and my post 9 unlocker friends he should be felling:
flat, let down, angry, upset, mad
But I believe his not worried as long as the $$$$$$$'s keep coming so they can make JTL.

Well i think TH is trolling the boards , since 1 min after i posted here the old man ported into my PAs city and said im a whiner for posting here all the time and that i should take this crystal and shut the f up

And now please devs, explain me how the Jedi Code is represented in SWG. I'll tell u, in no way.
I spent near a year with this game first grinding (only my 5 holos and 2 profesions more, I supose a Jedi doesnt need "combat medic"...)
and now, with the "new system" I see how my efforts go down, to the beginning, while I see some Jedis harrasing, and other Jedis acting like a child... I think this cant be allowed, and I think people who want to be a jedi must pass a psicotechnic test...
Can everyone be a Jedi? Actually not, only the players who spent more time in SWG can...
I hope JTL will be more "realistic" (thinking on the star wars world) or I (and a lot of people) will definitely leave this game.

Well so far my glowy toon has waited 2 days for his visit, so far nothing, completed 32 professions before pub 10, had the 'your unlocked message'.

hm...think all this holo-grinders first is bs....two friends and I started on european server 1 1/2 month ago, one of us has 1 master, the others 7-8. no pre-pub 10 unloc or any hologrind...and we all got visited by old man yesterday. just do whatever you do...he will show up. he got two of us in imp outpost dantooine and one somewhere on dant while doing mokk

I did 0 hologrinding, but I had more then enough of the right badges to qualify under the new system.
Old man first visited me while I was shopping in brenn on shadowfire. I didn't notice him till he was just about to run off.
Second time he came while I went to my house in novva beach on shadowfire. I was just leaving to go back to shuttleport, and there he was running towards me.
But what worries me was that last night I was ambushed by the sith shadow thugs. I was still loading in so I killed them fast along with some of my group members. But THEY were able to loot them and get the datapad. They even had to transfer it to me in a droid so I could use it. ALSO! some bystanders not even in my group were able to attack the sith and one of them killed and looted it I suppose. This is greatly disturbing since that was a possiblity I would never get the datapad and never be able to progress further. I may not be planning to do alot of FS quests in the near future but the fact that the option may never have been able again...

I did pretty much the minimum you could do with badges, finished them after publish 10 went live. I saw the old man today, he is coming, just play the game.

Hey there guys, Im just confirming I got the old man to visit... I am a post patch 10 glower. All I needed was 2 of the theme parks, I got those on patch day. I waited that day, no one came, and yesterday, same thing. Now, I logged in this morning, and maybe a minute after I logged on, an npc ran toward me. He said "Chronius Mazlinka, I have an urgent matter to discuss with you, do you have a minute?" Then I conversed and answered a few easy questions. And he gave me the crystal. Theres a little hope for you post patch glowers... ^_^

I'm losing my composure with spending 15-20 hrs in game for the past 3 days have a big fat ZERO to show for it.
Logged in before work this morning (for an hour at server startup)......nothing. Traveled to maybe 8 cities, went out in the wilderness...nothing.
Wasn't this the third day? I thought you said all post9 unlockers get a visit by the third day (btw I was also glowy at the start of the publish)? How long am I supposed just sit and do nothing....oh right I'm supposed to go run missions for 24, 48, 72 hours? Please don't tell me to play the game when the only way to spawn him is away from a city and not being on your vehicle.....this means no dungeons and I have to travel by foot......so essentially until I get a visit I've been nerfed to noob status. Nice publish.
Oh forgot to mention, I try to create a CSR ticket....the game crashes. I feel the love in this game right now.

I have had my main (and it's the only one I ever play) character for a year now on Shadowfire. I did 29 professions and unlocked about 2 weeks after Pub9 went live. I have over 70 badges and over 30 Location badges, I have done Reb and Hutt theme parks, not to mention every little quest I could find from NPC bystanders. I glow with the Force, yet after 2 days I have not received a visit from the old man.
A guildmate of mine who has done 6 professions, done zero holocrons, and has 71 badges, got his glow and a visit from the old man yesterday!
It seems like the new system is in place just fine, but those who unlocked under the old system are suffering because the old system was turned off!
I'm sure I can't be the only one getting screwed like this.
