Thread: On Mandalorian Armor
Yes, I know, Jedi hunting puts us apart. Uh-huh. So - I'm supposed to be entirely enthusiastic about hunting Jedi? My guild doesn't even want me to kill light jedi, and I'm fine with that. It doesn't matter - it doesn't compensate for much of anything... as they (the Jedi missions, as I have read) are currently broken. Besides that - whoever said Jedis are the only mark for a Bounty Hunter? If you really want to make *me* happy, make it so we can get bounties on *any* player, and so that players actually pay us for the bounty, instead of just mission terms every time.
Why is everything in this game a comple wild f'ing goose chase?
Why can't this justbe a series of very difficult quests for Master/Elite professions like BH and Commando? When you are don't with the quests you get the schematic and materials and then bring them to your favorite crafter...
No, everything has to be a holo/skill tape/krayt campfest... **edit**?
I can just see the eBay auctions now... Great job...
This armor should be cert at any master combat prof, i know this has been said many times. but i strongly agree with this, it shouldnt have very good stats. mandalorians were not bounty hunters, people often think they are because the most populer mandalorian was. because jerry seinfeld is one of the most populer americans, does that make all americans comidians? no, anyone who has played KOTOR would know that the mandalorians hunted people (but only in large groups, attacking other large groupes [war]) giving carbineers the title of mercenary, and also calling mandalorians this. then adding their armor to the game. then, letting other classes wear it, but not carbineers would drive a robot insane (A tale of two santas, futurama) Im not even a carbineer, and I think they need more enhancements. carbineer is one of the only crappy professions i havent done yet (ranger, CH, pikeman). I never plan on becoming a carbineer and I would be happy even if you gave them alone the cert (flame me if you wish). And no, this armor should not be crafted, making this armor lootable would in no way affect the economy, armorsmiths are already among the richest in the game. even letting them craft it wouldnt affect the economy.I imagine it going something like this
[guildchat] Rifleman: anyone around the city a AS?
[guildchat] Armorsmith: I am
[guildchat] Rifleman: I think i got all the stuff for that new armor, can you put it together for me?
[guildchat] Armorsmith: yes
or maybe if you are unguilded and you are searchable
noobzor tells you "your an AS right?"
you reply "yes"
noobzor replys "make me that boba fett armor"
you reply "I do not have the schematics"
noobzor replys "OMFG you have the master title! you hacker! you hacked your title didnt you! I am reporting you hacker!
you reply "you get the schematic by looting it, it is not given in the skill trees"
noobzor replys "**edit** my pistols 3 would pwn you!"
/addignore noobzor
Another side topic of this thread has been scaling down composite, I completley agree with this, people should wear diffrnt kinds of armor, relative to what they are fighting(ubuse for taking down a rancor, and composite for shooting dirty rebels..... er.... "members of the opposing faction"... ya thats it) I have also seem many people say TKAs should wear this, try looking at the pictures, he is fighting hand to hand! I also hear there is a new TKA weapon at this bunker. I do not think the mandalorians would make a weapon for a fighting style they do not even practice. One last point that is uncertain, there has long been an arguement among the star wars fans about if the storm troopers are actually clone troopers, because the clone troopers were cloned from jango fett would that not make every stormtrooper in the game a mandalorian? In case people dont like paragraphs with to many parenthisis I will make a bulleted list.
Agieseall's Bulleted list
- all combat profs should be able to wear this once master
- (even TKAs)
- yes to balancing existing armor for diffrent circumstances
- Mandalorians were not BHs
- Make the peices themselves lootable (AS are rich enough with by selling comp)
- all ST are actually mandalorians?
- flame away
Hi guys
I wonder why you devs., again, decided to develop new stuff for the game instead of fixing bugs. The droid engineer profession is still pretty lame and filled with bugs. I have to say I just dropped all my droid eng. skills because the profession sucked. I wasted so much time (and real.-life money) on becomming a droid eng. for (almost) nothing. You should implement a compensation for all the droid eng.'s and all the droid eng.'s like me who recently dropped the profession. How about offering a free profession change for all droid eng.'s and all droid eng.'s that left the profession within the last 14 days? (Free=spend no time at all changing to a profession of your choice).
Anyway! This new Mandalorian Armor thing sounds like fun. I hope you designed it well for the not-combat dudes in the game (I have my doubts though).
Something else: Stop ACT III!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How come the story of the game is in a lame standstill? Cant you guys write stories? Shape up!To methis game is nice graphics-wise but lame and useless in any other way. I do not understand how an entire software development team can be so inactive/passive/-in-no-way-at-all-creative??

Will Rodians be able to wear the Madalorian Armor Helmet?

i am sick off ALL these droid eneneers whining in every thread!
I'm not. I spent quite a while getting DE for my other character and then dropped it within a week. DE blows..
I think that the madalore armor should only be wearable by hybrid professions (bh, commando, squad leader, smuggler, bio-engineer, and combat medic) myself. But if SOE wants it to be fair by letting master elite combat profession people wear it than SOE should make the armor un-sellable and un-tradible like the glasses the special edition people get. That way only the ones who goto the dungeon can wear the armor and you wouldnt have to hear some idiot spamming the sale of his armor for a rediculous amount of credits. Then again as a wookiee character i wouldnt love to see anything more than hundreds of people wearing madalore armor so i could laugh at how its so common just like you did with composite.
Thats what i have to say you Baz Nitches....???

Mandalorians were all cambat big time war people. As well as mercenaries. A BH is pretty much a mercenary. And a commando is pretty much a big time war like proffesion. Thusly, restricting armor wearing to theese two proffesions makes perfect sence. As others have said, the skill points for BH are ludicris! And yet, an MBH can be easily overpowered by many other proffesions. . . Also, the armor should only be able to be worn by the HIGH LEVEL bh's and commandoes, not theese tree grabbers that just want "uber" armor. Like a TKM, for the shockingly low skill point cost they need, they already have the potential to take down an MBH, TKs don't nee to master anything at all. BHs however, need to master TWO OTHER PROFFESIONS! A TKA with Mondorlorian armor would be insane. Please take this into consideration. . .
I personally feel the armor shouldn't even be. Boba is the last Mandorlorian. The game is kind of starting to stray from the books and movies. . .But, I won't argue with the choice of putting it in. Just thinking aloud really ![]()
About the RIS armor, I think it's fine as is. Such good quality is supposed to be hard to craft, I mean it IS like a legendary armor right? If it were easy, AS would be even more rich, and people would do what I hate most in the game. . . GRIND. Grinding sets of RIS. /sigh. Just take in to consideration these facts please. . . Don't let this thread die like other of yourdev threads.
