Swerve, I don't think you are listening, as I am sure the Dev's are not. Two to three hours a nite is power gamming for me. Most times I get one or two hour and a half sesions a week. Try joining a guild when you can't show up sometimes for weeks at a time. That aside, it should not be essential to join a guild or to even group to enjoy the content of this game, or any game for that matter. I know, this is a mmorp game, and it is expected, and encouraged that I should join some type of group. Either temporary or otherwise, but this is a ROLE PLAYING GAME. I don't think I have to explain that to everyone. These games aren't called Massive Multiplayer Online Grouping Game. If I want to ROLE PLAY a solo player, their needs to be content for that type of game play. I'm not asking to be given anything, I'm just asking that the Dev's do what they promised when this game first came out. That being, that all game styles were to be given consideration when it comes to content. That was directly from the message boards.

First off, if you make it a lootable thing, wouldn't you be pissed if you went there with a group of 20 and one guy loots 4 sets and no one else gets any?

Second, why does everyone complain about being dependant on other professions? This is a MULTIPLAYER game! If you don't want to play with others, play jedi academy or KOTOR.

what utter crap some of you are coming out with. why the hell should MBH's and Master Commando's only get this new armor? The Mandalorians were mercenaries, warriors, im pretty sure they didnt have a rule saying 'Non-Master Hybrid fighters need not apply'.

Oh I heard you all right. And my message to you remains the same. Whether you wanna join a guild or not - I dont really give a dang. Ur essentialy asking to get the same things a player who investes 4-5 times the amt of time you put in, gets. I aint gonna even dignify your lack of comprehension any more. Either work for what you want or stop whining. Its that simple really. You dont get what you dont work for, its a simple fact of life. Nothing in life is free dude, if it is free its charity. And you aint ecatly needy. Needy is when someone needs a food or shelter to survive. Needy is NOT when someone needs that pimped out car - or in this case, mandalorian armor.

Keep it the way it is SOE. Hard work should be rewarded. Dont give in to blatant layabouts who whine all day and expect to get everything in the game.

I agree wth Jym Tarr you cant limit it to just those 2 professions, Just because you saw the armor on 2 chracters and they are bounty hunters doesn't mean thats the only people its made for.I think its called Mandalorian Battle Armor not MandalorinBounty Hunter Armor.I remember seeing more bounty hunters in the movies without it than with it. So why should it be for bounty hunters only? And why is everyone crying about the schematics i think its a cool idea and it cuts down on every single person in the game having the armor. If they made it where the armor was dropped there would bea line of people out the door. Like trying to get a holocron back a few months ago.

With a schematic It effectivly limits the amount of armor and keeps the crowd down. And i know it sucks that AS's have more money than you but get over it ....its kinda like the real world where some are gonna have more money than you and specialists are gonna make more money than most. I guess no one knows anything about trying to bargin with someone. If you get the schematic make a deal with the AS hey i give you this you make me that. I will probably not have a set of this armor cause it will be pretty hard to get. I think thats a good thing ...if i do get it I will like it that much more. It gives you something to work for. I am just happy things like this are being put into the game.

I totally agree with Epa's reasoning on this issue. Its is like the lottery. I probably will not win but if I do it will make it that much better.

Ok, this makes lots of sense to me.

In order to craft the Mand Armor you have to go into the DW bunker.

In order to get an Armrosmith into the bunker you have to have a large group of various professions.

All works out in the end if you think about it.

As far as who should be able to wear it...Mando's were not just BH's and Commandos. They were an elite fighting force, but they most likely were comprised of anything from Commandos to Riflemen to Carbineers...probably ALL combat professions. So why shouldn't all of those professions be able to wear the armor?

Maybe a better way to restrict use of the armor is to cert it at high levels within each combat profession. That way you would have to be at least 0-0-0-4 in Rifleman for instance, before you would be able to wear the armor efficiently. This would keep every Master Image Designer / Master Armorsmith from running around in a set.

I understand that for this particular story line it is appropriate to have such a difficult "dungeon" but arent we getting carried away a bit?

We had the geo caves, not too hard but not what you could call a cake walk, then the corvette, which is ridiculously hard, and now they are describing the DW bunker as at least as difficult as the corvette. Is SWG turning into the "uber guild only" nightmare that Everquest became?

I was wandering around Talus last week collecting herb meat, and I ran across the Aqualish cave. I was playing 2 characters, one who is about 3 boxes into rifleman and the other who has only carbines 4 from marksman. The mobs in this cave were perfect for that level. I could move at a steady pace, killing of the bad guys while making decent experience and having fun. Before I dropped master carbineer I had been to the corvette 5 or 6 times, all unsuccessful. I realized after the 3rd time that I really wasnt having fun up there, I was just determined not to give up.

So why was the simple aqualish cave so much more fun than the carvette for me? Finally I figured it out. The cave had many mobs but none of them were doing so much damage as to make it practically impossible to move through the cave. The big problem with how the devs are creating the latest dungeons is that they are making the mobs too powerful. Gie them 250k HAM, make me work them down slowly and even throw 10, 12, hell even 30 of them at me at once. But DO NOT have them so overpowered that they can one shot everyone in my group! Give them reasonable damage output.

Hopefully the DW bunker will be designed with more of this in mind. Sorry to kinda hijack the thread here...but it is relevant.

It would seem that - no matter the size of the group - you are can't do any of these special missions unless you are buffed and eat/drink until you're about to burst. (I guess that's what you get when buffs affect stats as much as they do. It's ridiculous. I bet a buffed n00b with only novice entertainer could kick an unbuffed master pistoleer hands-down.)

My personal view is that only MBH should be able to have the cool gadgets with the armor. The last thing I want to see is every person flying around Coronet with Mando armor on, shouting their sell macros to the sky and ground alike.

If any two professions are most deserving, it would be MBH and MC. I, however, am not against allowing it to masters of other combat professions. I just don't want them to have the cool gadgets, and I feel (as a BH) that MBH should have the best options as we *do* put the most skill points into it.

I checked with a char builder on Allakhazam, and you can master at least 1 other profession after you have mastered any other major combat profession. It is BH that is reduced to simply their combat role in the game, with very little (33) SPs left to spend on Medic, or Artisan, or stacking skills like so many other profs. I feel this means we put more into our Profession, and so deserve at least something to set us apart - therefore, gadgets should be either more accessible or only allowed to Bounty Hunters.
