I never thought I'd ever say it.
Time to get my Jedi.
My hopes for true PvP may never be achieved.
I understand and respect the various issues at work here...but my main issue is having fun. :/

I started playing this game since Otober then, left on Febuary and came back last month and unlock my jedi char. I felt so happy but then but then read this threadand found out about the delay of patch 10. Ikind wish I had not come back now and will problaby cancle my account even though I have a jedi now and haven't played him yet. They done this before and ignored the player base which is why I Ieft thegame before. Guess they are at it again.

So....does this mean CH won't be a viable profession for another several months?
how long is it we're goin for, year, year and a half that CH has been nerfed into the ground in preparation for something that at this timemay or may not happen?

ok you decide to push back combat rebalance.
hmmmm "nice" decision.
here is what we gona see in the next x months till the rebalance:
a group of 1 Jedi knight with 10-20 other ppl (who r 5-10 cm and 10-18 riflemen) will camp oposite faction bases and cities for the jedi to db.
Is this what u call the best MMORPG?
Well dont know about you but I dont think so.
The game needs, maybe with a hotfix:
a) buffs tune down (is this tooooo hard to make, they r only variables, and you have a working system with the entertainers buffs).
b) A rifleman dealing more damage, faster than a pistoleer (somthing is wrong here, just modify the damn variables).
c) cms, no comment (was the today fix a joke? only docs and jedis benefit from that, I didnt c any diference)
d) stop mind targeting (variables here too, sooooo hard to adjust?)
e) give the mobs their special attacks back
I know they r all seduled for the rembalance, but I like to c them inside the game NOW(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
I am not gona buy the JTL till I see that my game expirience is improved

At this point, I just feel like screaming. I really do. Not at you TH, but at the upper Mgmt of SOE. The same people who made the decision to release this product months before it was ready for prime time. I remember the Dev post telling us that it wasn't their decision, that it was directed from on high after hearing that the 'core' functions were working. (I know, I was here then)
If I could quit, I would. The reason I *can't* is because my wife likes to play, and this is the first game we've <ever> played together. Heck, she even has 2 accounts, while I only have 1.
After CH was nerfed into oblivion, I still held on to it because I enjoyed it. When the new content was added, CH was so bad it *prevented* me from actually participating. Pretty sad, huh? Why was it nerfed? For the Combat Balance. Everybody was gonna get balanced. What a laugh. What a slap in the face that's become.
After that, I took up Commando, and you know what? --I kinda enjoy it -- its been fun, but I can see where the Combat Balance is definitely needed. You yourself, TH, gave me hope with the 19 Q's where you said the Skill Tree would be replaced. Now what? What are you going to do between now and then that's gonna make a difference? 3 of our 4 skill columns are useless.
What difference does any of this make? It's just a game right? It doesn't matter in the bigger scheme of life. But you know what, it matters to me because I've put a lot of time and energy into this 'game'. *sigh* I wish I could just quit. I'm gonna start looking seriously at finding another game for my wife and I to play together. I guess if there was something to say to those Execs at SOE, that would be it -- I'm looking elsewhere, and as soon as I find it, we're gone and our 3 accounts cancelled.

Maybe its a system to transfer characters to other servers ... Perhaps they are anticipating a serious problem and major decrease in over all server populations. After a post like this, they lost one of my two accounts today and the second totally depends on their response to the outcry that has erupted over this.

I unlocked my force sentive slot the 13th of this month and was expectingpublish 10 to come out some time around the 8th next month. First I grinded6 months to unlock now your delaying patch 10 and will have to wait one and half months before publish 10 comes out. Even more wait for me and others who have unlock in between publish 9 and 10. This piss me off a lot because now I have to wait about anthor month and there is nothing interestingin the game at moment. Since this was unexpected it would be nice to allow people who unlock this month to play there jedi char early next month like planned before patch 10 was delayed. Honestly I was cool about not being able to play my char until patch 10 but with the delay I probably will only be able to test it out due to school, which start on october. Its also more unfair people who unlock early this month or right after patch 9 came out those poeple will now have to wait 2 months to use there jedi. Honestly I don't think I can wait that long thas about17 percent of time it took me to unlock possibly more if its even more delayed.
Awww...poor baby don't get to play with his Jedi. Too bad! They should delete all Jedi characters. PERIOD.

On the off chance the devs are still reading this far... As my tag shows I'm a community veteran, and I've been playing since the week of launch.
It was my impression that Jump To Lightspeed will not be available as a standalone game. That being the case, how can SOE expect JTL to attract new players if they first have to buy and play a broken MMORPG with an anemic, unhappy player base?
Is this why Shipwright is now a novice profession, because you don't expect many Artisans to be around by then?
Really, I'd fix the engine before adding a new sound system and spinning hubcaps.

I read your post TH....and vomited all over myself. I am increasingly sickened by the lack-luster job SOE is doing.

Fix the engine? It's the chasis they need to look at first, or whatever the lowest basic part you can find on a vehicle is.
Scrap the lot and start over, see if they can get something right second time round

Hi,
I am greatly disapointed in the delay on the GCW combat balance pass.
Currently PVP is totally, and I mean"totally"broken. You do know that, dont you?.
PVP is alsoone of the infinite "end games" available, allowing someone who has completed your entire game, to continue happily subscribing for an unlimited amount of time, even if no more content is added.People happily play the "same" Q3 map or CS map, for years!.
You have greatly let us, the participants in the GCW, down, with this announcement.
Tauro.
