Did I miss the part where we were done with the Christmas top 5? I believe architects still haven't received a response to our issues. Sure our list is wildly obsolete, but it would be nice--what with repeated suggestions that we use our profession boards--if we had some sign that a developer has even glanced at our forum in the past six months.
i am sorry..i am an archtect..what where our issues???...i gave up on that forum back when the spinesless guy quite and archangel took over....
i think you are right...i dont think we have had any word from devs in months...
can you explain exactly who crafting sttaions ratings work...no one at SOE ever has
my current "Opinions" on the state of the game:
right now, either Holo Grinders, or Bounty Hunters are the major classes in the game, followed by Commandos and TKAs. everyone wants to go BH to kill Jedi, since they (IMHO) can't unlock it themselves. and now every MBH is spamming "MAKE DROIDS WORK ON JEDI". well i think this is wrong. a jedi should NOT be able to be tracked by a droid. if a MBH tries, the jedi should be able to SEE IT and attack it, giving one last update on the jedi's location before the WP completely deletes from his datapad. also on the subject of Jedi, a jedi should be able to openly attack ANYONE that he/she wants to. if its a MBH or a Novice Marksman, he/she should be able to attack/incap/DB. also, how does a jedi choose which side to go? is it just "master Initiate and choose" or do you have to do something to choose?
now ive seen in the past week the creature nerf. i didnt mind the creature nerf for NON-CH, since it really didnt affect me that much, but what i'd like to know is why is it that a non-CH CAN'T call out a level 10 gurreck with 6k+ HAM? if you're worried about balance, why not nerf commandos or BHs? but for the most part a good BE is right now one of the better money makers in SWG with being able to sell lvl 10 creatures that have very good HAM.
my biggest annoyance in SWG is AFK macro entertainers. what SWG should do is after 1 hour of no input from the computer itself (much like how the auto-AFK works), send the character a /tell at 5 minute intervals for 15 minutes. if they dont respond, they get disconnected from the server and forced back to character select. also, it should do a background program check (which could be slipped into the EULA since NO ONE reads it, something like "The Company reserves the right to check your computer for background programs that would include A: (program) AND/OR B: (program) and if detected, would shut down The Game") for such programs as Autoit or other 3rd party macroing software.
and last but not least, bring back the SWG discussion forums. where else are we going to rant/grief about exploiters in SWG? not in the galaxy forums.
/rant off
/flame on

Okay TH,
I don't know if this has been brought up, but here goes.
The Carrion Spat missions on Bloodfin at least, on Corellia, are bugged. The mission comes up, the lair looks like an outpost and it doesn't pay out. On top of that, the waypoint will not go away after completing the mission, instead, it tells you mission incomplete if you don't decide to abandon the mission.
Thanks...

you must lead a sad, sheltered life if AFK dnacers are you biggest annoyance...
why do you care if they are afk...they still heal you just the same without all the mindless chit chat..
and i would never play ANY game that did any kind of "background" check on my computer...i can just see Ashcroft getting wind of this and adding to the Patriootso they can spy on us even more while we play video games. Terroists could be sending secret messages useing EQ. I am not giving up one more ounce of my privacy..especailly to a company such as SOE.
Stop worrying about people macroing and just play the game...but i guess you cant since it sounds like all you do is get your jollies by hitting on animated Twileks in imaginary bars and thats been ruined by the influx of commandos Holo-grinding their booties
Create a sticked thread in this forum called "Developer Diary". Each day take 5 minutes at the end of the day to let everyone know what's going on in developer land. We're not looking for war and peace here (at least not all of us, but they'll just have to learn to deal with it), but just some kind of small overview of what's going on that day. Make it a priority and a commitment to make 1 of these posts a day with no exceptions (work days that is) and stick to it. You can direct it towards a specific concern for the day. You can address a development idea the team worked through for that day. You can answer someones question (but not specifically mention them so it doesn't look like "favoritism") or just a mental dump of a battle you fought for us on some feature... heh.
5 minutes a day is nothing. 25 minutes a week would be a small price to pay, to let the community know what's going on.
Please consider this. We make a commitment to your game... please make a commitment to your fans.
Anyway... I'm trying to be constructive... I really am.
Wow.... 24 pages, full of bug fixes and suggestions. Great game....
I have zero faith in any person or group running this game. I believe them all to be in group sessions, passing all that they've learned from this beta test to the developers of EQ2.... That game is Sony's moneymaker....
There is a ton of stuff I'd like to see happen, but I'd rather they STOPPED NOW, and FIXED THE BUGS, and THEN GO MAKE NEW BUGS.
I'm just like everyone else... I try really hard to have fun with what I've been given, but every day that passes, I hit another roadblock that sends me in a new direction, looking for something else to do, rather than finding another game.
Finding another game is starting to look rather appealing. It is obvious that these people are lost, stuck, and that these words are pointless, other than to feed all the other cannibals looking for something else to piss and moan about.
Are you devs proud of your accomplishments so far? Aren't you so glad that you get pushed and shoved and kicked to put out all these new features, only to break 10 things for every one that you fix or add? Don't you just love working your arses off to get your paycheck and then have to come to look at this forum and see all these people bitch and moan and yell about all your hard work, so that everything you do seems pointless?
UNLESS YOU FIX THE BUGS YOU HAVE CREATED SO FAR, YOU WILL NEVER DIG YOURSELF OUT OF THE HOLE YOU ARE IN! Your subscriber base will dramatically fall off once something even slightly better comes out if you don't fix it, so IMHO, you'd better start pushing for a halt to the way things are, or a lot of you are likely to get the axe when the money goes away.... Just friendly advice.
Oh, and please fix the harvester animations. That really annoys the crap out of me.

As I have had no feedback to my post last weekas of now, I post this again and will continue until I get a definite "Yes, we need a known issues page" or "No, we ignore you anyway". If you start a roundtable, take part please. Else, we could as well meet and chat elsewhere.
I encountered a bug recently that killed me three times over. I'm an experienced gamer and I guess most people here have played countless on- and offline games. Games have bugs. This just happens. So I contacted a CSR. This CSR said SOE would not reimburse me, for this particular bug was a "Known Issue". Fine. I do understand the need for this and I'm more than happy that there is a list of known issues. Now for the funny part: When I asked the CSR where I could check for known issues, there was a long silence. I asked him how I could get to know these known issues and he told me there was no way I could have known this except through player postings on this forums. I suggested you create something like a known issues page as soon as possible and he agreed that this would be a good idea.
This ingame conversation has been the laughing stock of the software department I work at for weeks now. It doesn't get any more ironic than calling something a known issue and telling me there is no way for me to know.
I'm sure you like people talking about this game, but I'm not sure you like this special way of advertisement.
I realize you are working on your communication and it turns out fine so far. I hope you realize that getting it into acceptable shape will take about half a year of steady good work at leastbased on the mess you started from at the beginning of this year.
Hear hear!
