The CSRs currentley in the launchpad chat confirmed that only unlockers and prequalifiers (glowy on logging on to patch 10) should be visited on the first 3 days. But this is not the case. So you know what this means?
THE OLD MAN IS INDEED BROKEN!
No wonder not all of us are getting our visits. Hell some of hus may have been pushed to the back inadvertantley, while undeserving post patch 10 glowers get in! Unbelievable!

He may be visiting, but he's also visiting post patch 10 glowers, which means he's not functioning as intended, which means he is broken.

I about had a heart attack
and now i am waiting AGAIN lol on the sith
P.S. he spawned the second after i slapped, punched, and spit on someone else's old man LOL

DEVs, you can't leave things like this! I prequalified, I deserve my old man more than people who qualified today! Yet again a bug has ruined everything and you won't even acknowledge this!!
You know what I say? I say I and others like me should be given free skill boxes for our anguish, and just go ahead and give the unlockers their Padawans.

Ok I have been playing the game for a year now almost from launch, I put with being locked out the game for a week when a publish kept me stuck in a structure on dantoonie.
I love this game and the starwars mythos alot, huge fan of everything starwars. I have heard all the complaints and crying and begging alot from myself and my fellow guildies.
I have 19 profs my holos are silent been that way for a long time now, still kept grinding. I have 86 badges or so and I was glowy when i logged in tuesday afternoon.
But I cannot fathom how educated professionals can work up a random system which follows none of the guidlines YOU set up in your introduction. People that unlocked after pub9 still havent had a visit from the old man and people who did 6profs with no holos are getting visits in cities which you said would not happen, tonite three people got visited in a player city and a game cities on Shadowfire.
Why would a educated person tell a lie or falsehood?, cause possibly you had no real grasp of how to make it random? or the program is crashing? When I can sit in my city and hear that from one corner of my server to another people who did nothing for holos are getting visits and those of us who did got shafted. I earned all my money to grind my holos and I dont give a crap if anyone flames me, but you take time away from playing with friends to undertake a path not few have chosen.
You get pissed to see those who have no dedication go before you with no more ryhm or reason than the wind in the morning you feel like quitting.
But I will play and continue to put your kids through college, why? because I love the game and it seems as though not a one of you developers has the balls to say we have problems and we are trying to fix it. Just be honest with us, the old guy well ya know I hunted for 1 week for the BH waaaayy back when he spanwed in a remote spot on tat not in the cities like now lol. Didnt find him but kept looking, so ill keep waiting on him knowing hes not gonna come cause well some of us just dont grind 6 profs and get JEDI and some us do. why dont you guys play the game with us instead of appearing like gods to crash the fun, play the game on a live server see how long the buff lines are how pissed people are that you cannot live up to your word.

Sorry for the rant but when your 36 and your fun comes from a csr giving you a badge for good bio some times it just aint enough.

Got my old man about 8:00pm CST. Been waiting for the Sith to show so far no go. Anyone that says the old man is broken is WRONG. He showed for me he will for you just be patient. When i got my visit I was overt trying to get killed to lose that status. Running missions out of the Rebel Outpost on Rori when an Overt imp shows up kills me and destroys my swoop. Old man shows up as im cloning and says "corpse of Raakka I need to talk to you" Anyway, he gives me my crystal tells me to protect it and leaves. One problem. The journal in the crystal does not say I've met with the old man in fact it says nothing. On tc2 it would say what you had done and what your next task was to do. ot sure if I'm bugged or what. Any help woulf be apprieciated.

Once again, the fact that he is out and about does not mean he is functioning 100% correctly.
He is visiting people he's not supposed to visit in the first 3 days and ignoring people he is supposed to visit.
This means that he is in fact broken.

I can also confirm that the old man is infact working. 2 members of the guild i am in got their visits... one had unlocked post publish 9 and one had only done 5 professions. Hope this info helps ease peoples minds. The old man will come, it just seems to be on some kind of a timer

So why is he supposed to visit you and not me. If I did 7 of the 8 holos I am supposed to get automatic entry just like the post-9 unlockers so just be patient. I was an he showed up all of a sudden. I was told go about your daily routine and he will find you. He did. Chill.

I'm not speaking of you. I'm speaking of people who have reported getting visits despite the fact that they are not unlockers and that they achieved glowing status AFTER the patch went live. TH hinted this wouldn't be the case, the CSRs have blatantley said that this shouldn't be the case.
But it is. Some of the right people are being visited. But a lot of the wrong people are being visited to. Meanwhile I, a prequalifier, have wasted more than 20 hours waiting for that vile old coot, only to end up participating in a horrendous monument to futility.
