This is a great update, Im no longer left in the middle of Dathomir or Yavin trying to get back to an outpost without a Mount/Vehicle. And calling droids, KUDOS!

while a few of the other things of that patch that sounded good seam to be somehow broken the calling works perfect. It realy improves the game and safes you a lot of time when you can go everywhere without having to walk back half an hour.


What i also like in the patch is that the doors dont open and close all the time anymore

I am really in 2 minds about this new feature. I am a 4-3-3-3 Scout andwas of great use to my group when all the vehicles would disapear and quickly blast a camp up to get them out again. But the only advantages I can see of camps now is for the heal factor and I normally go back to a town to heal in either the medical centre or call the droid (I am a medic as well).


So the question is do I drop all the scouting XP and really waste all of that time running around slaughtering animals or do I go to BH and joina profession that loks like it will be hit hard in the next publish!!


But the huge upside is when your hunting and its all going horribly wrong and you need you vehicle back but then there is the 15 sec delay... why?? I dont have to wait 15 secs after pressing the unlock button on my car keyfob before the doors unlock!!

Great feature.


I think this actually makes true scouts more valuable - it's not like the need for hides or meat goes away.

I like this 15 second camp thing. I am an MCH and thus 1/2 a scout. My pet peev was walking (running) on Endor/Dathimor/Dantooine and all of a sudden being incircled by red. I would be unable to make a camp to pull out pets for the attack or a mount/vehicle to do a quick getaway because I would get that stupid "Unable to make camp" message. I hated that message.


The 15 second wait is nothing compared to wasting a Burst Run to get away or to find a clear spot to drop a camp.

Thanks for this feature. It will allow many folks that didn't really want novice scout to drop it, and that's a good thing. It will reduce decay rates on vehicles, because you will store then rather than park them, and it will reduce the number of polys in the world for the same reason. Good show here.

So let me get this straight, the only reason for camps now is to generate survival experiance? And the only reasone to have a 15 second delay to generating a pet or vehicle is to see if we are in combat? Great just what I need. Hurry up and wait some more.

I think there could have been a much better solution:


Allow everyone to use basic camp kits (but not make them).


This would allow scouts and rangers to have another commodity to sell. If you think about it, this fits into the already widely used system. Weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, chefs, (basically any crafter) all make consumables that the populace cannot make without training. Why should this be any different?
