2 Bugs noticed so far:
Some cities (player and NPC) aren't showing up on the map. For example, Doaba Gurfel wasn't showing up on the map anymore.

Mission terminals aren't showing up on the map.

I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

Hey! Are you even reading what everybody's saying, or are you just plopping down topics then skimming over everything?

How dare you ignore this! SOE, Blunderheart. None of you have an ounce of care and respect for us.You treat us like your dogs.

I've had enough of your lies.

The only people that have a legitimate gripe about becoming a Jedi are the people who unlocked between 9 and 10. These people were supposed to get a Jedi in this patch, and for them, I do feel sorry that you cannot play your Jedi. Everyone else who was grinding the badges, and I am one of them, if you don't get a visit today, tough! If it takes a week to get everyone, even longer perhaps, so be it. Do you really want to see 500 people on dath, lagging the crap out of the server, nor do I want to see 1000's running around. The quests for padawan alone are going to take 4 months alone, so no matter what, this isn't going to happen overnight.

The old man was put in to visit people, and the dev's have already said he will, not sure how many on what day, but when he gets to you, he gets to you. Like I said, only people who unlocked really have a legitimate gripe for waking up an not being a padawan. For those of you that grinding 31 professions and didn't unlock, well, bad luck happens to all of us. For you efforts the devs said you can unlock more blocks right away, but yes, you still have to wait. The old man will come in time, I just can't believe all the posts crying about how he hasn't showed up yet.

To everyone that unlocked, I do feel that you guys did get the shaft, but to everyone else who just prepared by doing the badges, grow up and wait like the rest of us.

I wonder if Dark Jedi's have a better buffet in the enclave. What I would do for those cocktail weenies.

I will kill any man for the right price. And the price is a Hostess Cupcake.

I've got a question please...

I had previouslycompleted my holo professions to silent and had also mastered about 14 or so more on top... no unlock.

I did /check upon logging in and I am still "faint" in the force. I have alot of badges (75 or so) but I'm assuming I don't quite have all of the "required" ones... probably I need another themepark badge or something.

Anyway, I would imagine that I won't be getting my "old man" visit in the first waves... naturally I need to do what's required first. But, my question is, will I still get my bonuses for the FS trees once I do become "glowie" and enter the village?

I am hoping like mad that I am not totally out of luck simply due to a missing badge or two!?!?

Thanks in advance.

Good update thanks. Seriously. I dont give a damn about force sensitivity. This delay is joyous to me. There are already Jedi games you can buy and be a jedi. Not to mention, all the people who got pissed off and logged (hopefully permanently) arent around to piss me off in game. So, thanks for the good playing environment today. Thanks also for hearing my pleas about the cloning window's autoselect bug. That's cost me on 2 different occasions. And TH, I must ask you to please not respond to people who call you stupid, incompetent, etc. If people called me that without knowing all of the facts, I sure as hell would NOT respond to them either. Have a nice day, keep jedi away a little longer, and dont let me down on JTLS, and i'll buy you a beer sometime.

Thunderheart,

Please give post-9 unlockers more info about when and how we can expect the old man visit. If you honestly don't know how the mechanic will work in-game (as your request for feedback has lead many to believe) then say so. I have been waiting weeks since unlocking post-9 and have become increasingly bored in the meantime. I can make no meaningful progress on my character, and it has been this way for weeks. I see no reason to log into the game until I will be granted access to the village and can continue "playing" a game I honestly enjoy very much; except for the fact that the only way to get access to the village is to "go about my business." I'm pretty sure this statement is innacurate if "going about my business" for the past few weeks has been not logging in. Statements like that just frustrate the player base. Please tell us more info about what triggers his arrival. I can only assume you have put a hard timer on who gets the old man visit to limit crowds in the village. That's fine, I understand that, but please give us some info on where we can expect to fall in that line, and what the consiquences will be for that line if we do not log in. What actions could cause the old man not to show up? Will he not arrive if I am in combat? In a group? Have a tef? Can I just wait three days and expect him to arrive pretty much immediately if I log in outside a city on day 4? What if I wait a week? Will I have "missed" my chance? What if I'm afk when the man arrives? How soon will I need to wait again?

These are the kinds of questions all us post-9 unlockers are wondering. It's what's got most of use just sitting in the wilderness somewhere twiddling our thumbs. Are there other artificial time gates in store for post 9 unlockers? How many days will I need to "go about my business" before I can access the village skill trainer? Or run the exit quest? My meaningless play time has only been a couple of weeks. I can only imagine how frustrated those who have been waiting an entire month to play must feel.

you know what would be a good fix, remove the gate, i would rather deal with 1fps then nothing at all, and im sure everyone would agree with me, and i know it will not even be that bad really

I agree if your going to gate the village do it by Age of the Character/Account not the Proffesions mastered, Thats stupid, how bout some respect for the real veterans? Sure give them the unlocks, They Earned it, but to put in 2 publishes worth of content that the majority of the player bases DOESN'T have access to? Thats just not acceptable under any circumstances.

Clearly there must be something wrong with this publish. I mean, I've mastered 28 professions, completed the Nym, Jabba, and Rebel Theme Parks, and have every location badge listed.....and I only have a STRONG sense of the Force? I should have the Force glowing out of every pore of my body!

FYI, I've canceled my preorder to JTL and canceled my second account that I had because of this slight.

Thanks for all the wasted time.

About the /findfriend thing further up the page:

I think that the two people have to be on each others friends lists before that works. So basically only your friends can find you.

And TH is a robot. He's not real. Just a machine. He hasn't quite grasped the human concepts yet, leave him alone...

Anyhoo...

I feel much the same way. There are two things I want to do in this game: pilot and smuggle. Right now, I can do neither of these activities. Working toward a Jedi character slot and making a Jedi were going to give me something to do until JTL and the smuggler revamp. Instead, I find that, because I didn't find grinding 32 professions that I had no desire to play funand didn't want to contribute to screwing up the economy, I now have to wait up to 15 or so weeks to start these quests despite my "glowing" status.

So, tell me. Exactly what incentive do I have to play? To make endless loads of credits? To make a suit of armor that I can't wear? To go to the DWB to maybe, just maybe, get a schematic and barrel for a pistol that I want?
