The other day I rode around on a Kaadu, it was very cool.
The other day, I made a really good R2 Adv. droid but almost none of the features worked and I couldn't even sell it.

Ourlack of faith apparently isn't disturbing anyone. I'm sorry to sound cynical and pessimistic. I guess I just have valid reasons for feeling jaded.
I'm glad to hear that the update is coming along well. Running around in the "The Warren" and finding a mount to use will be cool, though, while I wait for.....

Respectfully,
Please, oh please let me tame and Ewok and ride it!

However, since the game has run for several months with the wrong numbers, we will continue to go with those values. So the TC structure changes you are seeing are a side effect of another change and will be restored to their old values soon.
So just to be clear: Ignore the current rates and capacities on TC. They are not going to stay like that and they will not be pushed to live.
SORRY THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SCHEMATICS
READ MORE CAREFULLY. NOT A SINGLE THING HAS BEEN POSTED IN
WELL OVER A WEEK ABOUT THE SCHEMATICS. THEY'RE GONNA GO
LIVE WITH IT. I BET YOU 20k CR.

Soostubrx, I think everyone can use a properly trained mount. You can attack while on a mount however we do not allow you to use special moves. This is basically the trade-off. If you want the constant speed boost of a mount, you need to dismount to be an effective combatant (though you aren't completely defenseless either).
Cool. I can't wait.
Fundimentally this is sound but I think you need to look at it in more detail. I have recently discovered the "Joy of the Flamethrower". 80% of my attacks are NOT specials - I just hit "roast", err I mean /attack and fire away. For me, there is very little downside to riding on dewback and fighting. I'll take the speed anytime.
Perhaps this is a little to overpowering. Perhaps . . . this is hard for me to say . . . you should not let people fire heavy weapons from mounts.

Q-3PO:
Has anyone given thought to the accuracy or even usability of certain weapons on a mount as a fairer tradeoff? I think a special move cost penalty is prudent, but dismounting to fire a special move just devalues high level characters further. To engage in mounted combat players will simply get certifications and
For instance rifles, heavy weapons, and two-handed melee weapons would be un-usable on a moving mount. You simply cannot balance yourself and operate these weapons properly. These weapons should have the greatest special move mounted penalty because of their large size and they require balancing in the stirrups and both hands to wield.
Likewise pistols and fencing weapons should have increased penalty to their maximum range while mounted. You have virtually no accuracy cost when not moving, but in motion there is a huge accuracy cost. These weapons should have a fair special most mounted penalty because of their small size & ease of use. Undoubtedly pistoleers have a huge accuracy advantage currently so that will need to be addressed if they are allowed to have relatively cheap mounted special use penalties.
Finally carbines and lances should have the greatest bennefits when mounted. They will have increased point blank penalties, but otherwise should be the best mounted weapons. When still you have accuracy as if you were kneeling and in motion they will have less accuracy penalty for carbines than if you were running. Special move cost penalty for being mounted should only be slight. The origin of the carbine was a civil-war shortened rifle SOLELY DESIGNED to be fired while mounted! Therefore they should be the most accurate when mounted and have some special moves designed to be fired off when mounted.
I agree that TKA special moves should not be firable when mounted. TKA requires full-body control and use of all portions of one's body.
You have a whole world of great game enriching mounted-combat options here. I really don't want to see this aspect of the game glossed over like it was a checkbox on your marketing department's feature list.

Creature Mounts are gonna be so koolie, but the down-side is that 8 out of 10 people on Coronet will be riding mounts, which will make it look less "Star Warsy."
/sigh
Can't wait for mounts though ![]()
Kaminos on flying mounts, mounted gungan warriors, tuscans riding (and probably firing from) banthas.
LUKE SKYWALKER RIDING A FREAKING TON-TON!!!! HOW IS THAT NOT STAR WARS???!??!?!?!?!
How to nerf Creature Handler (the number one occupied profession and the one most responsible for the P-o-kee-mon wars syndrome).
Combat droids, better armor, better weapons, poisoned bait that only Chefs can make, hides for Taylors that can only come from Tamed creatures.
Vehicles with blasters that can run circles around creatures or hit them from the air without taking damage in return.
and
PERMADEATH for tamed Pets. Once the kids face up to the fact they will continually have to work to get new pets then they will migrate to a better profession or quit and go back to playing Po-ke-mon.
Ok, yes - I saw the movies. I'm just stating that it won't seem right if we see literally everyone riding around on pets. It's bound to happen. Did you see everyone at Mos Eisly Starport in the movies riding around on Dewbacks or Banthas? No...you saw maybe three or four...most of the time they weren't even being rode - just pulled along.
I'm not saying this is a bad feature they're adding in - it's rather cool, but I'm gonna have eyesores from everyone riding pets.
