Thread: Daily Test Center Bug Thread: Friday May 7th, 2004
Changes to hair will not cause the default color on humans, zabrak, or bothans. I should say, human females, zabrak and bothan males. I can change their hair style, hair color, it appears correct once they accept. RODIAN females, however, end up with the default haircolor. Also, the same Rodian female could not see the holo emote "Kitty." She tried using it on her character, and I could see it. I used it, I could see it. Both times, she could not see the kitty, whether she was generating it or I was.
Hmmm....Rodian females still can't wear grand healers robes, either. Any word on when that will get fixed? I've had tech support tell me it's supposed to be that way, and others tell me it's a bug that Rodian females can't wear the robes. Or maybe it's just select characters that are bugged?
Anyhoo. More buggy fun.

I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but when I (the Master ID) hit commit, my window disappears. The client can not see what changes I made until I either commit or they accept, and if they don't like it, we have to wait another 2-10 minutes to change again, since my window disappeared at commit. Now, if the changes actually appeared in the client's window, as I was making them, this might be significantly better.
Also, I noticed that if I'm doing multiple changes, each new thing re-sets the timer entirely. IE, if I made cosmetic changes and already waited the 2 minutes, then made a body change, I'm forced to wait the additional 5 minutes.
Why are we making master IDs wait again?

- Cannot migrate own stats (very very serious issue, we need to be able to use our own ability), when tried to migrate stats, spent my ten minutes doing changes to my char, when I hit commit none of the changes took and I was stuck unable to ID "youa re already in the process of an ID action"
sorry to hijack, but Musicians have never been able to buff ourselves... and yes this is the Musician question of the bi-week - answers pending.... but it's really no fun to not be able to buff ourselvessorry Dancers........ this is also an issue for them
Just checked that stat migration can be done on yourself on test and it can. The bug that appeared is pressing alt to hide the window and reshow the window causes the "you are already in the process of an ID action" problem.
Post May 8th update:
Helper Droid Final Marksman Quest:
Only the kills you make completely with the weapon the droid gave you count for this quest. If you switch weapon during a fight the kill won't get credited. However this is not really clear when you read the mission text. You should add this info to the mission text.

I am not sure if this is related to migrate stats or if this is a general bug, I have exactly the same bug but I try only to change my leku....relogging didn't fix that.
- Eye color still registers as a "body" change and resets timer to 5 minutes.
- Unable to ID self. ID changes wouldn't "take" after hitting "accept". Then when tried to do so again got "you are already in the middle of an ID action". This may be tied to getting rid of the "before/after" screen for ID'ing self.
- Male human facial hair not updating correctly. Client claimed to see "mustache" when shown "sideburns". Tried to click to another style and then click back to sideburns. Client then kept seeing all styles as "clean shaven". Reverted, and client saw original "soul patch". Started clicking through styles and customer only saw "clean shaven." Successfully gave customer sideburns, despite the fact that they did not show up in preview.
- I think this bug is occurring when you slide the slider too fast and the screen doesn't update correctly. This is the first time though where it switched to "default" and failed to update at all.
To elaborate a bit more on the missing items/vendors problems since Friday's patch, following are some observations I have noticed today:
My Novice Merchant was looking for something to sell and found a Gungan Head Statue in a backpack in my guild hall. He put it in his inventory and tried to sell it to the same vendor that had lost some earlier on Friday night or Saturday. He received a message "this item is already for sale". A minute or so later he received an email that the sale of the item had been unsuccessful. The item was still in his inventory, but he could also see it in the Storeroom of the vendor. When he tried to retrieve it from the Storeroom, he received a message "You cannot retrieve the item right now". Very strange...
It appears that something in Friday's patch caused the database to take some serious damage in certain areas. We lost around 100k in the Guild Hall treasury, around 2 million credits worth of resources that were stored in backpacks in the basement of the guild hall, and both credits and items from some characters and vendors.Hopefully this bug will not make it to the live servers. If it does, I can hear the screaming off in the distance...
