Thanks TH, a few points...


1. I accept the melee weakness that Jedi have as long as in the combat balance that melee profession become semi-rare (unlike now, lol). This IS supposed to be Star Wars.


2. Any chance that instead of getting a color crystal at conversion that when breaking down sabers we get a color crystal IN ADDITION to the damage crystal. Ideally we get the color that the saber was, or if not then a random.


3. Please stress the idea of deleting the Defense tree and either adding a reasonable/balanced amount of toughness/resists to robes or puting them throughout the other 4 trees.

TKA should be much harder to level if they are going to be able to combat high-level Jedi. Whats the point in spending months trying to get through the Jedi trees when someone that has a grudge against Jedi takes a day and a half to grind through TKM and he's able to kill Council Members?

TY for the update, unfortunately the DEAL KILLING showstopping issues are still on the table....


The ability to color the Robes would be a welcome addition. Even an extremely limited palette would be great, considering we will be wearing those robes for the rest of our gaming life as Jedi.


This was implemented as non-hueable because of art and design restrictions. For the robes to work like armor they had to be created in the engine differently than the other virtual clothes items. Changing the colors once they already exist (as opposed to picking a color during the crafting process) is not possible at this point. This makes it a feature request that would go onto the category of dye kits for armor because they have similar development. This is something that we can revisit in the future. FWIW, there is one issue to consider here and that color also denotes rank. If you change your color, you’d be hiding your rank and that has the potential to lead to some ugly situations. That will also have to be considered.

Really, I feel like the jedi community is trying to deal with a brick wall instead of developers that give a flip for our feedback.


STOP with the "jedi must be weaker, jedi must be weaker, jedi must be weaker, jedi must be weaker, jedi must be weaker, jedi must be weaker...." MANTRA....do your customers the basic courtesy to have an honest discussion about why 4444 guardians are losing 9 skill boxes. And why we went from having 3 out of 3 trees to 2.5 out of 5 trees. STOP pretending we dont know what you are doing to us and that you ARENT gutting us skill wise and power wise - because, NEWS FLASH - you are.


And lets have an HONEST discussion about how you IGNORED our requests for the diversity that we all know jedi should have - that between light and dark.....


With the JOKE skill costs now, you are KILLING THE PROFESSION and any diversity in it. 2 branches of LS are a must. 4004 heal is a must. 2 branches in enhance (run, and armour) are a must. SO to follow the RIGID, STUPID 2.5 mold, we have master 2 of these three. So master LS, Master Enhance, 4004 heal is the LEAST GIMPED of the exisitng choices. People simply can t afford the points for two types of offense in power....one more time, YOU ARE KILLING DIVERSITY.


Hate to break it to you but the SKILL POINTS issue and the Armour issue ARENT GOING AWAY.


Next:


Melee blocking in the game while not visible is accounted for in the final reckoning. If melee attacks go through, there are innate Jedi Defenses that will protect against this.

What does this mean - are there melee blosks in the wings for us, because when im getting hammered to pieces by an NS elder in under 2 minutes while barely making a dent (A KNIGHTtrial BTW), I dont see any indication of of any kind of defenses. What EXACTLY is meantt by Innate defenses?


Do you get a sense of the frustration here? You are screwing us over - EVERY JEDI IS WEAKER after this revamp.

I'm a current 4x4 Guardian on live. On the 22nd, if we are unsure what skills to convert, can we postpone conversionuntil later, and still be credited with our progress with our Jedi character? I would like to consider what others experience throughout the next week or so before setting my template in stone.


This may also allow other high-level Jedi slotsan opportunity to master a few professions and gain profession badges in order to make it less obvious we're a Jedi, just by looking at our badge list.


As well, it would be nice if we can pick which of our slots become a Jedi: our main or our second character slot. My main is a Wookiee, a welcome change from my current Zabrak.

multi-sliced = somebody who cheats and has a smuggler slice a weapon over and over...yeah there are ways to do it and yeah if you get caught you get banned.

Firstly: Im a bit of a hurry so i dont have time to read the intire thread. so im sorry if this was posted before.

Knowing your probably gonna slap me with "combat balance" standard post, ill try any way.


As it is right now the only way to do PvP is by beeing some sort of range weapon user and use burst run to "kite" away from your oponent. Melee PvP is totaly useless, not even bothering to try any more. I even gave up my faction as i had no chance what so ever to win in a factional skimerish. Indoors perhaps yes. But give me a covert Rebel or Imperial soldier thats stupid enugh to go in to the cantina without armor and unbuffed and still be overt...´


Please give us melee fights. Give us a chance to compete with the world around us. Make really sure that even the jedi need to run and hide at times. I'd love to seea jedi cutting thru 50 or so riflemen/combatmedics (or what ever) and beeing stoped at a mere TKA/Fencer (or any combination of your liking). For once we could contribute to something, not just beeing stupidmindless macrorunning tanks infront of some ones pet and rifle.I want to help out, be of use. Im not saying TKA should have it all. What i am saying is give it all to the BRAWLERS in general. As i said before, give the jedis a reason to run and hide. Give brawlers a reason to excist in the PvP part of SWG.


Perhaps the jedi robe need not to have the best protection against kinetic? or maybe a dmg bonus for melee fighters against lightsabers? What ever you can figure out is good im sure. I have complete trust in you pulling this of. I belive that me staying TKM for 4monthts now is not for nothing. I so much want to be a part of the player community in SWG, i am so tired of mobs...

Isnt it possible to just give the enclave the Crafting Exp bonus with no art, theirfor both the art department and the players win?

also, on TC corbantis there is/was (don't know if TC corbantis is still up or not) a HUGE melee fix right now...It is called line of sight. As a pistol person I was not able to shoot through mountains on TC...this is a HUGE fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as far as I could tell if you could not see it you can't shoot it...


no longer will rifle/cm be able to sit in the back and blindly tab through targets firing away and tossing poisen...


I can't wait for this patch to go live...more than anything this is what has me excited!
