The 2 min timer before you can commit changes, such as a simple color change is totally ridiculous and every customer will unfailingly ask why it is taking so long and why can't they accept the changes. I can understand wanting to slow down the xp gain for ID (although I do disagree with it 100%), but this timer is ridiculous. 30 seconds maybe, but not 2 min. I'm also totally ecstatic that my alt already mastered ID because I can't even imagine trying to now. In fact, I would simply not try. It's absurd to the point of being impossible. Even a power gamer who can play 20 hours a day would give up in disgust.

I also agree with the majority of posters here - tents need to be placeable in player cities, the timer needs to go, stat migration should not be ID only, and with a 10 min timer, I for sure as hell won't be doing it for anyone else except people I know and even then would hope this gets changed in less than a week from now. I also have to agree with the smuggler poster, being a master smuggler, that we were fed the line that abilities won't be taken away from other professions just to give us an ability, since that would "take the fun" away from other players. However that seems to have been done here with ID's when it comes to stat migration. So, I guess now you guys have no excuse not to give us smuggling right?

Getting off my smuggler soapbox (I'm really sorry about that but it had to be said), I really like the changes to the UI for ID's it is extremely cool. Especially the secure pay for it. Would like to have that for slicing. Oh yes, definitely. I bet doctors doing buffs would like something similar too. I really like the minimum payment requirement that can be sent by the player providing the service. A+ to the UI designers there.

I noticed a bug and im not sure if it have been addressed. If you give a zabrak (either gender) hair when before they had horns you are unable to select a hair color until after the hair has been applied.

Basically to give a zabraki hair you need two id sessions. One to give them the hair and one to change the color of it. Hair color is grayed out and cannot be applied to the style you are about to give them.

i.e.

I change joeblows horns to inclue haird down the middle. I cannot give him black hair at this time. I have to first offer the change be accepted and then restart teh Session to change the hair color. This means to ID sessions to create and modify hair. That can be a long wait if all your doing is a hair style job.

If you change clothes during a session it doesn't show in the UI.

I hate the timer. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. Please remove it for Master ID.

More revert issues:

  • Revert does not reset Human female eyeshadow color picker (picker reverts correctly after changing tabs)

  • Revert does not reset Human female lipstick color picker (picker reverts correctly after changing tabs)

  • Revert does not reset Human female eyeshadow slider

  • Revert does not reset Human female freckles slider

  • Revert does not reset Human female hair style picker

  • Revert does not reset Human female eyebrow color picker

  • Revert does not reset Human female eyebrows slider

Please note that all changes revert correctly in the displayed image of the client, but the controls themselves do not revert.

Please decrease or get rid of the timer for changes except maybe for the holoemotes and stat migration.

I mean seriously do you make a marksman wait 2 mins between each shot? no.

Do tka's have to wait 2 mins between hits? no.

So why not make it something more reasonable to the ID community like 10 or 20 sec delayinstead of gimping us. I know we got more xp per change but it is null and void because of the extreme delay we actually make LESS xp overall and is boring to have to wait that long between changes. I think we need the delay on the new features such as holoemotes and stat migration. but 60sec in a tent and 2 mins outside one is just rediculous. Please listen to the players on this im sure im NOT the only one who feels this way.

I don't think this is correct. My TKM toon gets far more xp for a single hit than my ID toon gets for an entire session of changes on a customer.

As a Master Entertainer, Master Dancer, Master Musician who does not powergame, I am just not working on image design skills. I know bad timing for me. But speaking of timing, the introduction of the timer has made it more of a job to advance as an image designer than a fun aspect of the game. So while all the other changes are nice, I will not be able to experience them, because I am unwilling to suffer yet another time sink in this game to advance to the options people actually want changed. Until the timer is gone, the galaxy will be missing at least one potential image designer. (Though likely no one will notice)

Wow, this is a really sad publish. As a (somewhat) new player, changes like these make me prepared to turn tail and run far, far away from this game. I've only been playing a few months, but when a game like this takes an ability away from the entire player base, and puts it in the hands of a very small percentage of the player base (see: stat migration)it is a TERRIBLE precendent to set. Absolutely shameful. 100k for a stat migration that we could all do for free last week? THIS IS NOT A NEW FEATURE, IT'S HIGHWAY ROBBERY - SUPPORTED BY THE DEVS! I love ID's, I really do- but some of these stat migration prices are astronomical, for something that used to be FREE to EVERYONE. Hello? It was FREE. Don't charge people 100k for something that used to be free.Charge like 15k for your time.

The IDtimer is STUPID for simple changes. WAKE UP AND FIX THAT DEVS. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID. I've grown quite weary of all your stupid timesinks. This does next to nothing for interaction and just causes frustration and anger in your customers. Stop it, for the love of god.

Holo-emotes are neato-keen, perhaps - but very un -star warsy. No one can deny that. When did holographic hearts pop up over Han Solo's head when he talked to Leia? Ohhh right, they didn't. Get the picture?

Devs, I can no longer trust whatever hair-brained scheme you guys cook up in your meeting rooms.

/sarcasm on

What's next, make a "Vehicle Handler" who's the only one that can call/ride vehicles, and nerf everyone's vehicles? How about a "Wardrobe Manager" character, who you have to pay 80k to whenever you want to change out of your underwear? Brilliant! Oh and give them the ability to shoot frickin laser beams outta their eyes and make smoke come out of their ears! How neato!

/sarcasm off

This publish was pathetic planning and implementation. Way to anger and alienate your customers, good job folks. Fix these issues now, or pay the piper later.

REVERSE SOME OF THESE CHANGES NOW, PEOPLE ARE REALLY UNHAPPY RIGHT NOW - GET IT?

Well here are some of the bugs I noticed that this latest update caused. First off some of the in game sounds are all screwed up. Did not hear any music while connecting to server. Was in a group and weapon fire sounds were inconsistant. Also, all the armour i was wearing the night before mini-pub was destroyed when this pub was pushed out. I just bought a full set of ubese a day and a half ago. I log on last night and every piece has a 0 condidition. Way to go DEV's!!!

As a master ID on another server who never used the macro (I was one of the first Master ID's on Corbantis, almost a year ago), I have another character on Wanderhome and thought to myself, "I had a lot of fun doing ID there, why not try it on this server?" Boy was I wrong. Consider the following....

From: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=image_designer&message.id=13668

Kweewrote:

Exp

100 exp for cosmetic changes, 300 for physical changes...

Timer

2 min for cosmetic changes, 5 mins for physical changes...Half of that if you ID yourself. At least one change must be made to get exp. The exp does not stack, so one cosmetic plus one body change results in 300 exp.

To go from Novice Entertainer to Master Image Designer, it takes 361,000 image design xp (From Entertainer -ID I: 1000, ID II: 5000, ID III: 10,000, and ID IV: 15,000 = 31,000 xp, and Image Designer - Novice: 10,000, Intermediate: 10,000 x 4 = 40,000, Advanced: 20,000 x 4 = 80,000, Expert: 30,000 x 4 = 120,000, and Master: 40,000 x 4 = 160,000).

If I use purely cosmetic changes to advance at 100 xp per chage, I have to make 3,610 ACTUAL individual changes to others? (From what I've read, offering what they already have doesn't give xp, and xp doesn't stack). Or twice that much, 7,220 changes if I practice on myself? Either way, it's a time sink. With 3,610 changes, with the 2 minute timer, it's 7,220 minutes or 120 hours and 20 minutes; and with 7,220 changes to myself with the same timer, it's 240 hours and 40 minutes!!

What if I went with physical changes to master this profession? Now I get 300 xp per change but with a five minute timer. So, I would have to make 1,204 changes to others or 2,408 changes to myself. Again there is the huge time sink. At five minutes each, it comes to 6,020 minutes or 100 hours and 20 minutes. Double that if I'm working on myself to 200 hours and 40 minutes.

So for me to become a Master Image Designer again, it's going to take anywhere from 100 hours to 240 hours? As much as I enjoy the time I get play this game, with my conservative play of2 hours at a time and only a few days a week (on average 4 days a week), it's going to take me just over 2 1/2 months (8 hours a week for 12.5 weeks) tomaster at a minumum, and 7 1/2 months (8 hours a week for 30 weeks)!!!

Are you kidding me? I'm dabbling with marksman skills, and have Novice Pistoleer as well. I can get abour 4,000 xp from one kill, about 2 minutes soloing on Dantooine. In that same 2 minutes, if I was image designing, I would get how much? Let me check my numbers, but it looks to be about 100 xp. 4,000 xp verses 100 xp?!?! Doesn't sound like fun any more. Let the grandfathered Masters charge outrageous rates, I don't have to pay them, I've got a Master in my guild that does changes to me for free. But what a discouragement that I have to concentrate almost 8 months to master a profession now. Good grief, even Bounty Hunter wasn't that bad and I mastered that with casual play in a couple months. Keep up the good work SOE and you'll lose yet another paying customer.

Ummm... I already did the math on the ID forum...

My results were a bit different.... Why? Well:

Entertainer ID = 31K

Novice ID = 10K

ID Int = 40K

ID Adv = 80K

ID Exp = 120K

ID Master = 160K

31+10+40+80+120+160 = 441

You're low by 80,000 points....

Even so, with a gamer spending2 hours a night, and 5 each day on weekends, it'll take at LEAST 5 weeks to powergrind the profession (assuming that you have a second account so you have someone to practice on, and are GOOD at either in-game macros or AutoIT3...)

Oops, my numbers are off, so much for that accounting degree I'll be getting in a month!

Even with the extra 80,000 xp, that is 13 additionalhours with cosmetic changes and almost 5 more with physical changes. Forget it, nothing, and I mean nothing should be that much of a time sink.
