Well, I guess timing is everything.....

I canceled 6 accounts ( 3 for me, 3 for my girlfriend. I paid for them all), just a few minutes ago.

We played for over a year. Met a few nice people, and had a few good times.

Beta app was put in for "JTL", Though I really dont care much anymore.

I guess I'm just tired of the 2nd job, that doesnt pay the bills.

Tedious, seems to be the "key" word, when I think of this game.

I do wish you all well in this galaxy!

Though it be far from what I envisioned.

He hasn't said that the vets won't get in, all he said is that fanfest people will get their emails. everyone else has to wait and pray they get thiers soon.

Veterans will get priority when they start selecting additional beta testers is what has been stated previously. Fan Fest attendees were guaranteed a spot, but just like with the original SWG beta, the invites went in waves.

Just my thoughts, do with them what you will.

As far as the Gaming sites go, none of the BIG sites would TOUCH this info (Because they know that if they DID, they'd never get any good information from ANY gaming company ever....)

none of the middling size sites would handle it, cuz they KNOW that Sony's legal dept is prety hefty

who cares about the small sites... only 5-10 people visit them...... By the time the info permeated the SWG crowd, the final copy would have been in the stores for six months...

Also fan festregistrants please be patientand do not email us until friday if you have not received your invite, we are having to manually send the invites to you so its going to take some time

And for the rest of you fan fest attendees are only getting invites now but that does not mean that there will not be thousands of other testers admitted in the near future

Nope, wrong. They can keep beta going until shortly before launch regardless if they so wish and need it. As you said yourself, they can just patch in any necessary changes after the game 'goes gold' so to speak. Original SWG beta didn't close down until 4-5 days prior to launch day if I'm remembering right.

According to the JTL website, a second species, 4 new profession details, and 5 different sectors will be announced before the end of Summer 2004.

I must admit that i was a little upset that not only i could not attend fanfest but that by not going i wasnt going to get a guaranteed invite.

hopefully they will invite a lot of the vets and we may get in but if not it looks like theres not too long to go

I am glad to see that we went from the power games to those who could afford to fly all the way out to CA to go to the fan fest for beta selection. Too bad some people who work 9-5, could not spend 1200 on a plane ticket, and take a week off work had no chance.

Ebgames has a JTL pre-order box with an ingame speeder as pixelcrack and will also
ship a beta cd, so you can start betatest JTL at 8'th October.

"Pre-order and receive priority entry into the Jump To Lightspeed beta and an exclusive in-game vehicle! Bonus will ship the end of September via US mail at no extra charge. Please allow three to five business days for delivery. After bonus disc ships, you will not be able to cancel your order. You will be charged the total shipping charges when the disc ships. If you choose In-Store Pickup for this game, please contact the store for bonus item availability. Continental U.S. only."

But there we have it "Continental U.S. only." which means europe (and Hawaii I guess) are out
of luck yet again.

Ok, the beta test I can live without but the ingame speeder would be nice to have!
How will it be avaible for Europeans? When will JTL be for sale in Europe?
Will JTL launch on the European servers at the same time or do we have to wait?

Usually I just preorder from EBGames in US to be sure I get the stuff in time and
any promotional ingame items or what not... but seems I am out of luck this time.

Does SoE/Lucasart have any information on the European launch (ingame items)?
