By accessible I mean that you don't have to have millions upon millions in Uber gear and a specific template to stand a chance
By mid level characters I meannovice throuh 2nd or3rd tier skills in an elite/hybridprofession
I would like to see the following:
1) Multi person vehicles. We already have 2 seat vehicles in the game, it would be great if we could make use of the extra seat.
2) Jabbas Palace Revamp. I loved doing those Jabba Mission, but now that I have done them all there is nothing left for me to do at the palace. I suggest that you make this a Smuggler safe house in the Smuggler Revamp. This would attract a lot of players to the area. Perhaps you could also make the Palace into one big cantina.
3) More house designs / PA hall designs. Face it, all the PA halls have the same floor plan with the exception of the Tatooine PA.
4) I also wouldn't mind any news on the Veteran Player Reward System.
TH,
I was thinking about a possible use for battlefields, maybe have a base in each battlefield, the bases can then switch sides similar to the base destruction, whoever controls the base, gets some kind of bonus on that planet, cheaper starport ticke, shorter starport wait times, cheaper vehical repairs, could be anything, each base/battlefield wouldbe tied to some kind of bonus, all the battlefields on a planet however would be tied into planetary control, which would have some other bonus, like a plus ranged/melee defense bonus while fighting on that planet, or something else, but basically control of the smaller battlefields gives you a small bonus to something, and whoever controls the most battlefields on that planet controls the planet and gets a large bonus, these battlefields/bases could have a weekly vulnerability time, so swithcing doesnt happen daily.
just a thought
These are just a few of my thoughts, that them all, take some, or ignore them all, up to you.
GCW Changes
Allow Player Cities to Declare a Factionand that comes with the following:
Agroup troops (Rebel or Imperial) that patrol the city (requires a fee, more money = more troops
Any faction member that enters the city will receive TEF (similar to how a CovertScanner Works)while in the city
On the city map, they City Icon would be represented by the Faction Symbol
If there is a Faction Base in the city, forces are multiplied (you can select by how much)
Change the way Bases work (right now, it is to easy for people to farm them or destroy them)
Increase the difficulty of the NPCs at the base, 1 person should not be able to take them all out (ie TKA or Fencers and others)
Bases are to hard to defend and easy to destroy (that is why there are much fewer bases)
Change the vulnerable time to once a week
Do not allow just anyone to be able to read the status of thevulnerable time (only Admins)
Make the Faction Missions more interesting
Right now, they are WAY to easy and boring
Have group missions that require multiple planets targets and base hits
Increase the difficulty of these missions (Harder NPCs)
Add specific objectives for different professions (similar to how Player Bases are destroyed now) - Encourge group missions and that are harder and objective minded. Not just show up and blow up a flag! Destroying a "base" that has Turrets, NPCs, terminals, and such that requre certain professions or even just a few people to complete.
Player City Changes
Remove City Structures in non-player Cities.
This is just my opinion, but if you want player cities to work, you have to give people an incentive to live in them and visit them. I am tired of going to a player city only to see NO ONE in the cantina or medical center cause they are ALL in Bestine, Theed, or some other NPC City.
Reduce thefees for players that have a declared residence in a player city
There needs to be an incentive to be in a player city and this is a great way to do it.
A 30% reduction in the maintaince cost on buildings if the player is a citizen of a player city
A 10%reduction for maintaince cost associated with allharvestors forplayers that are citizens of a player city
An ability for a mayor to have citizens be exempt from sales tax on purchase within the city.
Overall Combat Changes:
These are probably being addressed in the combat revamp, but I want to throw this in anyway:
REMOVE ALL HAM COST MODIFIERS.
It is absord that 3 specials depleat my HAM by 60% even if I never get hit and that it gets worse if you wear armor!
If you are going to have a HAM cost, it should be whatever the HAM cost is of the weapon and not be adjusted based on the special being used or armor worn, or secondary stats.
A weapon that has a 40 Health HAM cost should ALWAYS do 40 (and only 40) when you use a special
This is forcing EVERYONE to have to be BUFFED to run missions
Allow cloths (or types of) to be worn over armor!
It is pretty silly that everyone looks the same and wears the same armor. I think it would be cool if you could wear some cloaks, trench coats, capes, or other things over your armor. This gives everyone the abiltiy to add some uniqueness to thier charactor while in armor
MAKE ARMOR EXCHANGABLE!
Have you guys wondered why the only armor made is Composite (80%) and Ubiese (19%)?
The TYPE of armor should not be what determines the STATS of the armor!
Instead of Armorsmiths getting a certicifation for a type of armor they should be certs for theSTATS!
Acid, Blast, Energy, Stun, etc layers would come at different levels (like the armor types certs are now)
20%, 40%, 60%, 80% canalso be done a certain levels
Better yet, give the Armorsmith the ability to "tweak" the % up and down (just like migrating stats) and determine which statsthey want to increase and decrease.
This would allow peopleALL the different types of armor looks instead ofeveryone pick the same armor just with different colors
All the color of ALL armor to be changable, not just Composite

The devs have stated several times, that PvP is intended to be the end-game of SWG. If you made PvP accessible to everyone, you would have to 'balance' the game to a point that there was no longer any reason to pick a profession. If a master marksman could stand up to a master rifleman or master fencer, what would be the point of taking master fencer?
No, if you want to PVP, you will ALWAYS need the best gear, and very powerful high end template... because without that, you should not under and circumstances be able to beat someone who has worked to obtain those things.
doing things he/shedont like. Maybe there should be implemented some
kind of mechanism allowing to attack only stronger opponents if
you are underparticular level.

Everyone needs to chill with all their ideas, with about a week left till patch 9 is scheduled to go live all the focus needs to stay on it untill it is live. Their are MAJOR issues with this patch that need to be adressed and fixed. As it stands now with the focus entirely on it it will be a miracle if this gets resolved in time.
Hmmm.. If i didn't know any better, i think you failed to understand the point of this thread. Let me quote something for you, if you have problems understanding this, just PM me. I'd hate to add anymore usless posts to this thread.

This thread is so community members can share their ideas about what they would like to see in the game that is not currently being planned. Game development issues that are being planned will have their own In-Concept “focus threads” listed in the In-Concept forum.
So please everyone not involved in patch 9 put your thoughts on hold for a bit. Even if you arent a jedi this patch will influence EVERYONE in the game in one manor or another.
This is the best thing i've heard yet..
This patch can make or break this game and needs to be done right. ATM it is going to break it unless many issues are resolved.
Just so that i'm not off topic... Another thing I would like to see is the ability to track shuttle times, or display the shuttle/port times on your current planet.
But it means if someone enjoy only PvP, have to spend few months

Amen, and the same for droids.
The devs who revamped BEs hit the perfect balance in making clone pet strength almost independent of the pet's body. Now we have variety instead of everyone using grauls and kimogilas, but within reasonable limits (ie. no non-CH kimogilas.)
Currently there's no reason to use anything but Composite when buffed, Ubese when not buffed, and advanced R3 droids. Set some reasonable limits: mouse droids can only have so many slots, bone armor can only be so strong, composite only so light. But beyond that make the capability depend on the crafter. Wham, diversity!
FIX ME!!!! i have a guardian 4444 on live, but i can only use 8 jedi skillpoints on TC2
Herodias,TC2
If your tired of not being able to handle high end toons then group PvP or group with higher end players so that they will take on the main assault and you can do covering fire.
Hmm, damn, You are right ;-)

UI Enhancement: Factory: Inserting Schem: Sort By Name
I don't know about the rest of the crafters, but what a pain in the butt it is finding the exact schem you want to insert into a factory. I am a master weaponsmith and generally have a good 40+ schems in my datapad. When I go to insert a schem I get my list and they are all mixed up (probably in schem #). I have to hunt through the whole list.
Please, make the schems appear in alphabetically order, this should not be hard, and will help the general crafter experience. (probably 15mins programming time to tweak the SQL and add that "sort by" statement).
