Thread: In-Concept Open Discussion (6-7-04)
How aboutworking on the concept ofplayer cities; make the running and maintaining of a city much more pro-active and time consuming,so thatif mayors and their residents don't put in the effort to keep their city thriving, they lose city ranks, and eventually the city itself, giving those of us who lost out on the chance of starting a citythe opportunityto take their place.
Also a way of keeping track of the city caps and populatation per planet would good so we can keep an eye on when other cities are starting to fail.
We waited almost a year for these hats which are a major part of the Imperial forces in the movies. Yet there not in-game. You said we need a image designer to give us a military hair cut to wear it, yet the minipub with ID went passed and we got no Imperial Hat that we can equip.

I would like to see a few things:
1) No skill points required for Politician Profession, just like the future Piloting Profession.
This will encourage people more to run for mayor of their current player cities, rather than have a mule created for such a thing. There is no imbalance to any other professions by having this one so skill points charged for it is just silly.
2) City Chat implemented.
This would get everyone inteh city involved and a chance for them to meet eachother. It also makes it so they dont feel like an extra head just there so city can have a Rank. Have it something like /cc or /ci for a comand. The chat channels your create just arent too friendly and donthave enough control over it.
3) Merchants or anyone with vendors dont have stuff go in their inventory when getting stuff off.
This is an issue where when we purchase items offered or withdraw sales to relist they go in inventory. We have a stockroom and when half goes in inventory and half is in stockroom it is a small pain. Can it be fixed where everything goes in stock room as it was intended?
4) More ineteraction with significant NPCs int he game.
I cannot stress the fact enough where the main NPCs in the game like Luke and Vader would be more fun if they showed up to a random raid or something. Have them seen doing things in the background other than just stand there in the Themeparks.
Also have ships land and take off frequently from places, like Slave-1 at Jabba's Palace. Milleneum Falcon at Nym's Stronghold. X-WINGS AT THE REBEL BASES, and TIES AT IMPERIAL BASES!
Thanks for listening.
1) Player Cities
When I first imagnined what player cities would be like, I thought of something similar to NPC cities, exceptwith different types of buildings. Right now, I feel that player cities are just a bunch of buildings chucked onto the ground, hill, ect. It would look much cooler if player cities could have pavement, and maybe more NPC's that you can interact with or receive missions from.
- Make it so player cities can have pavement.
- Generate more NPC's.

Can we get an in game calculator pretty please?
Buy a $1 8-digit calculator from wal-mart, its what I did =)
Everyone needs to chill with all their ideas, with about a week left till patch 9 is scheduled to go live all the focus needs to stay on it untill it is live. Their are MAJOR issues with this patch that need to be adressed and fixed. As it stands now with the focus entirely on it it will be a miracle if this gets resolved in time.
So please everyone not involved in patch 9 put your thoughts on hold for a bit. Even if you arent a jedi this patch will influence EVERYONE in the game in one manor or another.
This patch can make or break this game and needs to be done right. ATM it is going to break it unless many issues are resolved.
Please make some zones, where youare not allowed towalk with your weapon in hands.
Perhaps if your appropriate faction standing is not high enough. If you doanyway, you are
attacked/arrested/something happens.
Then you can make brawler proffesions a little weaker, but more suitable for such places.
Redesign doc buff, spice and food systems. Their effects should be comparable, so it would be
personal choice which you use. Definitely make theese effects _much_ wekaer. Spice boost
looks most resonable, if not overpowered (to short though). You should be able to fight without it,
and still have some hope of winning PvP and harder mobs. Its effects should not be stackable.
Make modification to armor system. People not using it should have trouble to beat armored
person, but should be able to escape more easily. Maybe just make armor slow character down.
Make missions in bunkers, buildings and in cities. Some of it could be random generated.
Make missions which give player some choice. Make it melee/ranged prof can fight their way,
slicer can use some terminal to pump off air, open closed shortcut door, droid engineer can
repair some battle droid and use it for his aid. We should ba able to change our mind, and
for example help target npc hide instead of killing him/her. And make mission giver tell you
what resistance you should expect, so people not go half galaxy only to see7 reds like me
yesterday ;-).
