There are several things that should be done to make this game better.

1. A new experience system should be added to the game. Call it "Quest Experience" or "General Experience" that can be used in place of any other experience in the game from Crafting experience to Jedi Experience. This Quest or General Experience should be gained through multi-part quests that are tailored and instanced for the character doing the quest. One of the earlier posts mention a Hero's Quest, something like this would be a nice way to award this General Experience. You could even include a conversion process to convert Quest experience another form of experience at a special conversion rate. Maybe Crafters convert at 1 for 1 while Jedi convert at 4 for 1 or some such, you could even add special NPC's that perform the conversion for a small fee. Overall, the basics of this is that there needs to be another way for players to gain experience other then mass murder, or tons of hours of crafting.

2. Although the two major players in the universe are the Rebellion and the Empire, there is at least one other prevelent entity at play in the Star Wars Universe that seems to be under played in this game, and that is the Criminal element. Besides joining the GCW through the Empire and the Rebellion, players should be able to join in through the Crime Organizations. Crime Organizations can play a big part through selling of information, smuggling illeagel items, Bounty Hunting to any other criminal activity that can be thought of, including murder. Both sides used the criminal orginzations in the GCW, and the Criminal Organizations played each other against themselves so they could turn a profit. A way to form Player Association Crime Syndicates would also be a nice touch. Penalties for being caught in the act of a crime should be sever, but the potentialrewards should also be tempting enough to overcome the fear of these penalties.

3. Player paid bounties. Players should be able to take out bounties on other players. Of course there should be a balance to this. There are several ways to balance this. For the Overt Rebel & Imperials, allow them to take out a bounty on an individual if they are targeted and killed by the same individual14 times in one week, that averages totwo death blows per day from the same individual (possible griefing) or 4 times in one day (also possible griefing). For the Covert Rebels and Imperials 7 kills in a week by the same individual while under the effects of a TEF. High ranking officers of either faction should also have Bounties placed on them simply because they are high ranking, effective officers tend to get noticed and targeted by the opposite side. For those individuals participating in a Duel, there should bea new dueling option in the radio menu "Duel to Incapacitate Only", if this type of duel is taken too far by one player and a death blow is given then the person who received the death blow should be allowed to take out a bounty on the player that gave the death blow. Allow CSR's to activate the ability to place a bounty whenever harasement is reported and confirmed through chat logs.

4. Short term stories with permanent resolutions. There need to be short term stories that everyone can participate in, not just the GCW faction players. These stories need to have a beginning and an ending. None of these stories should last more then one or two months. These stories can run from the simple to the outlandish. An example might be a plague on one of the planets. Traveling to this planet would increase the chances of contracting a disease, especially from combat with a creature on that planet. Have a series of NPC's set up to have players hunt down the necessary ingredients to find a cure for the plauge. If the plauge is cured, then the planet quickly goes back to normal, if it isn't then that planet has a higher risk of encountering a diseased creature. Another example might be an invasion by an unknown alien element. Have these unknown aliens carry out raids on populated regions such as city centers where no individual is safe. If the threat is beaten back then the aliens go away, if they aren't beaten back then they become a risk for every day life, if on a lesser level then durring the story (at least for a short time). These stories should be along side the GCW stories that we have seen in the past, although the GCW should be the focus of the Stories played out in the game. These smaller stories could add significantly to the experience of the game, especially if they are resolved one way or the other in a short amount of time.

5. I think this should be implemented with "Jump to Light Speed". There should be hidden and pristine planets that players can find through the exploration of space in their space ships (a possible plus for the Scout and Ranger professions). It would be nice if the player that found the planet had the ability to name it, but I don't know if that is feasable on a multi-galaxy system (who wants to track the same planet with 100 names across 100 galaxies). These player found planets should only be reachable through transportation either by a players own ship or through purchase of passage on another players ship capable of carrying passangers. These planets should not have any known civilization other then primitives that are indiginous to that planet. Some of these planets should be set up so that playersare not be allowed to put down any structure on them, some planets could become civilized, while others could become factioned. These would be planets for pure hunting, questing (if any quests are on these planets). For the factioned planets, make thefirst faction to find these faction capable planets win the planet and can set up planetary defenses against other factioned ships entering it's space. This could lead to epic space battles to root out a faction on a desired planet, followed by ground combat. The entire planet and the space around it would be a declared battlefield. No neutrals here, your either for or against the empire.

6. Some of the big Characters from the original stories should make appearances in this game and have a real impact on it. If a Jedi has too much visibility and Bounty Hunters are incapable of dealing with him, have Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker (maybe Ben Kenobi or Yoda if not Luke)show up to deal with the Jedi depending on which faction the Jedi is part of. Emperor Palpatine could even make an occasional guest appearance in the downfall of an individual that has attracted his "unwanted" attention some how. Having any of these characters show up to deal with a situation would be most impressive, and add to the Star Wars feel of the game. They can even show up for players other then Jedi that have garnered some kind of recognition. Can you imagine having Princess Leia track you down to run a special mission for her, especially if it is a mission available to no one else. How about Luke or Han paying you a visit. Vader showing up on my doorstep would be an amazing thing to brag about, especially if it was to terminate my existance or capture me for interogation. Kesel spice mines anyone?

7. Faction detection through the force. You have faction detectors that players can purchase with faction points, however Jedi should be able to detect (or have a chance to detect) covert players of the opposite faction. This would play a big part with suggestion 6 above. Having Vader make a sweep through a city revealing all covert rebels so that they can be attacked by his storm troopers and any loyal Imperials that wish to join in on the carnage. The same could be said for Luke visiting a city with a rebel task force revealing all covert Imperials in a town. High level Player Jedi should have the same ability, maybe limit it to Council Members and above in the Force Ranking System.

8. Game Performance and Bug Fixes. On planets that have a huge player population, increase the number of servers representing that planet and shrink the zone sizes. This should increase performance on the planet and reduce lag. Any known bugs in the game should be prioritized and resolved as soon as possible. If necessary create a seperate team with the task of detecting, analyzing, and resolving known bugs.

That's all I can think of at this time,

I think that one could add props to entertainers as well as a container that you can keep sets of clothing and other props in (but only clothing and entertainer props so they dont replace the function of normal backpacks for other players). The container should be "invisible" when worn so we would not have to see entertainers dancing around with backpack.

Props should be craftable by dancers if dancer type of props and musician if musician typ of props.

It would be nice if satchels and other containers could be added to the game so that not everybody runs around with backpack all the time. If satchel and beltpockets have less space they should be no threat to the old backpack.

1. Make harvestors smaller - just posted in the Chimaera forum about this, but basically it's irritating having to weave in and out of harvestors every time you want to get from A to B.

2. Remove collision detection from harvestors - If everybody except the owner can pass through harvestors they'll be no need for weaving and you'd never get stuck ona harvestor that suddenly spawns in front of you. Both of these ideas might also help to reduce lag? (not sure about that)

3. Complete Ranger profession overhaul! There are a lot of excellent ideas on the Ranger forum at the moment, please can we have some Developer feedback on some of our suggestions?

4. Customisable armour and clothing, such as being able to add cuts and markings to armour (a tally of opposing faction members killed, for example). Perhaps just a wider variety of clothes, everybody seems to look the same recently.

Hello folks,

I am a long time reader first time poster.

I have this idea that could become many possibilities. So here goes.

New player building, and Arena/Coloseum could habe 2 type, 1 that would have openings on each side incase people want to hold swoop races with variable waypoints on one planet need a start and a finish of course. And the other type and the one i am hoping is a circular Roman Coloseum type of building. ( thinking for coloseum a building similar to the starports just a tad smaller to hold games within it. With a system of tracking statistics and maybe even a neo scoreboard where we could have an operator during the games to announce the contestant?? Of course seatings for people that wants to watch! It would be a dream come true to see this in the game that so much possibilites.

This woudl be a huge project because having an arena it opens up a new aspect to the game.

A gladiator proffession one that performs in the Close coloseum, and a Swoop Racer one that could use the regular bikes we have now and having the knowledge of using it he could become better and faster and maybe even bump others off the track! ( or the 2 class could be under combat preformer proffession and have 2 rows dedicated for gladiator and 2 for Swoop Racer )

Thinking Gladiator could derive from master brawler and Swoop Racer could derive from scouting . Or if both are in the same combat profession then i would see it being part of 2 proffession Scout again andBrawler.A gladiator could learn new ways of figthing with new weapons blinding oponent with sand on the floor, Stunning opening with a glancing blow, using a net to trap their oponents. ( oponents could be slaves from Patrons, Beast creature handlers and of course other gladiators) while swoop racers could learn how to push their swoop bikes tot he limite of course causing more decay to the bikes, also could perhaps customize their swoop to go faster as well but only a swoop racer could control these bikes people from other class could never comprehend the technic needed.

Wait i am not done yet, another class a Patron, look at it this way there are many humanoids in the world not in cities well Creature handlers are able to tame creatures Patron could enslave the humanoids out there and use them in the games.

( i see Patron class part of politicien or Artisan )

Of course Creature handlers could build up an army of creatures and could be paid lots of money to put their animals in the games as well.

There are more possibilities but i believe this is enoughto least bring this to the table and see what could be done uh?

Thanks for reading this

1. I would say vendors you can place items on for certain people and they are the only ones that can get.

2. Secured rooms in your house to share with others and they only have access to certain parts.

3. Un-nerf ATST's!

That is all this week. Thanks

GCW missions:
I think that the GCW would experience a major boost if the game drove players to kill other players of the opposite faction through a mission system, in the already-available imperial or rebel mission terminals.

Basically, adding a new tab to the current "deliver" and "destroy" mission terminal's interface which would supply a list of missions which consisted solely of pvp missions would drive players to persue other players.

I believe that this system could be implemented very easily without causing to much disruption to what is already in place.

Change 1:
Make doing factional missions require players to be overt. Period.

Change 2:
Add a timer for factional missions, when the timer runs out, the mission is no longer available and the lair dissappears, forcing players to meet the requirements of that mission immediately.

Change 3:
For each mission taken by one player of one faction, a mission should exist to the opposite faction to stop that first player's mission.

Basically a protect mission.

If I'm an imperial, and I choose a mission to go blow up some little lair somewhere, it would be interesting if some rebel player out there had the ability to choose a "protect" mission which would pitt him against me.

My job is blow up the rebel lair, his job is kill the imperial player coming to blow up the rebel lair, or basically protect the rebel lair.

He would recieve the waypoint to my mission, and be paid credits AND faction for successfully defending the lair for the duration of the time frame that mission exists.

The rebel should have to stand within a close proximity to the lair he's defending for the entire duration of time that mission exists for, if the lair isn't destroyed (either because the rebel successfully defended it, or because the imperial never showed up) he would be granted the payment, and the factional reward.

This would drive more pvp then has ever been seen.

In-concept Open discussion synthesys and feedback

Basically once a week, a post by a Red Named One could come to close the thread by a post of innefable wisdom pointing to:

yes-yes : the idea of the week! the month! the century! definitly going to be submitted to devellopers \o/

so-sos : kind of "it really really would be cool, but..." whith a little explanation as to why proposition such or such will never be added to the game

no-nos : the "laugh of the week, booooh" idea that is either too game breaking, to narrow focused, or too controversial to even consider

I think this would give us poster an incentive to be more proactive and assertive, and we'd do less guesswork trying to get ideas that fall in line with the developpement agenda. On the short term, the Red Named Ones would have less quantity and more quality to read. A win-win solution.

1) I would like to see Streamers for dancers. I'm getting tires of every dancer holding a frolicking sword for staff. I feel like I'm in a cheap karate movie with dancer assassins. Soooo the idea here is to have "light streamers" very similar to the special moves the melee fighters have. The streames would leave a trail of light as they move and enhance the visual spectacle of the dancer. I would also like to see clothes that change color for dancers. (color morphing clothes designed by a bio-engineer). Another idea for a hand-held item would be large feathers, or fans, that a dancer can carry and tickle with of course. Last would be fireflies that a dancer could release as a single use item (or an item with a limited number of uses.) The fireflies would last for a short while around the dancer and then fly off. One of the classes might get the ability to create or capture them.

1) I would also like to see sunglasses, sun-goggles, etc. In general the more clothes the better. People like to look unique so I will encourage this all I can. No other game that I can think of allows for more customization. The drawback comes from people who have just about played the game out. So I was thinking of rare schematics for clothes that can only be used in a factory with a limit of 1 or maybe 20 of something. Could simply be a color exclusive to this schematic. They could make them rare enough so that each time one is found the chance of it being the same as one already found would be quite remote. Also Iwould liketo see snow trooper armor of course and scout trooper armor as soon as possible.I would also like to see the helmets worn by the defenders in the beginning of Star Wars IV when the blockade runner is attacked. (I know it’s cheap plastic and looks like cheap plastic in the movie, but I have no doubt yours will look better).

2)I would like to see the ability to rent vehicles for new players. You could have renting stations in player cities. The station has to be supplied with the vehicles to rent by citizens of the city who get a share in the rental fee; (renting vehicles with custom colors and such for a premium). The vehicles last only as long as the player pays, say…by the hour…and then automatically return to the renting station. The vehicle is automatically repaired when returned. The renter might perhaps pay an hourly fee to provide the vehicle for rent and the renting terminal has to be within the vicinity of a garage. I know that a vehicle can be bought if a payer put their mind too it but this might help with new players who are in a group where everyone else has a vehicle. That or allow an x34 to carry 2 people.

3) You could add droid sales-bots like an R2-unit that has a projected message from the owner of the shop. It will show and image of the shop owner and give his message (he should look almost solid except for the telltale scan-lines of a hologram). This would be cool because you would get to see the shop owner.

4) Also for new armor a Gungan shield would be interesting. You could also add a repeating blaster turret. (like the one in Empire that the snow troopers were setting up to blast at the Falcon) The user would have to stop and set the repeater up but once it starts firing beware! All the repeater user needs to worry about is overheating and trying to use it against someone in melee. In a PvP environment it would be limited because it doesn't move when shootingand the user is vulnerable to melee.

5) I want a T-16 Are we going to see those in Lightspeed. I know that’s off topic but???

How about fixing the colums on the bazzar so we can read what the heck is being sold. The name field is like 3 characters wide, while other fields are far too big for their purpose.

An earlier post suggested the Teras Kasi should turned be into Jedi hunters, or at least be a part in culling the Jedi. Ive seen alot of people both support this ideaand repulsively reject this idea. As for me, I do support this idea, and I'll give both pros and cons as to this reason.

The following arguements that have been said against thisare -

  • Only bounty hunters are known to hunt Jedi

  • There's enough bounty hunters to do the job

  • Teras Kasi are only martial artists, nothing more, and not hunters

  • There's not enough EU material to suggest Teras Kasi artists did in fact hunt Jedi in the past

Now for my arguements against those arguements-

Only bounty hunters are known to hunt Jedi - Show me once in the entire movie saga where a bounty hunter was paid to hunt jedi? Boba Fett? Nope, he only attacked Luke because Luke's gang was attacking Jabba, andFett was on Jabba's payroll. Jango Fett? He was hired to kill Padme and thus hired another merc to do the job. Hewasnt hired to kill Obi-Wan and that attack was just in defense. Even against Mace Windu, there he was on Dooku's payroll.

The only place I heard about bounty hunter jedi hunters was in the EU, and that was with Aurra Sing, a former Jedi herself on a revenge trip. A one-frame character later on put into a book. Still, its EU, the same source as the TK Jedi hunters.

There's enough bounty hunters to do the job - The Jedi population is getting bigger and more and more Jedi are not in fear of being hunted. Alot of them are going unchecked. However, this could change as Ive heard the bounty hunters will get a revamp and become alot more dangerous. Still doesnt mean the Jedi will be in check alot more and that fear will be established.

The TKers dont need to access the hunter terminals to hunt Jedi. As another person put it, its a moral issue and not one of money. Give the TKers the ability to at least sense a Jedi nearby and force them into confrontation.

Teras Kasi are only martial artists, nothing more, and not hunters -When a man can go into a meditative posture and actually stop his bleeding, cure poison, negate a disease, and actually heal his wounds in an AMAZING amount of time that defies natural healing, he is not just some kung-fu master. The meditation tree with its powerboost and force of will suggest that there is some inner mystic force going on here. Yes, the Jedi gather their Force from the outside while the TKers gather it from within. That doesnt mean its apples and oranges, but more like red apples and green apples.

There's not enough EU material to suggest Teras Kasi artists did in fact hunt Jedi in the past
- Ive read more material on the TKers being Jedi hunters then bounty hunters, sans Masters of Teras Kasi video game.

No one is asking forTeras Kasi artists to be the end all Jedi hunters as the bounty hunters themselves are made out to be in this game, and Im sure the other supporters feel this way too. Those that support this idea just want a little content to go with our profession other than GCW reasons, much like the smugglers. We dont want to replace the staple hunters, just something to add to Teras Kasi to make us more than just kung-fu masters because the current content in the game as well as the EU does suggest we are more.

Rework the Droid caves on Lok please. As a mayor on Lok there is very little to draw adventurers to my world. Other then Giant Dune Kimo scales Lok offers very little to folks other then an expensive ticket to get there and back.

So please rebuild that dungeon and add some drops worth hunting for.

I think it would be interesting to allow BH's the opportunity to choose between hunting light or darkside jedi. This would add to character development for rpg'ers and would allow the rebel or imperial BH to choose whether or not to hunt a specific kind of jedi which might naturally help or hinder their chosen faction.

It'd be nice to see the engineering skill tree have a couple more low-level weapons added to it. As it is, the bone armour is spread over of the course of the tree whereas the weapons are not spread out as evenly. Adding one or two more low-level weapons would help the starter artisan make just a bit more cash and add a little more variety to their crafting.

It'd be nice to see just a slight increase in low-level item drops. As it stands now, you have to be in your elite skill trees before you have a good chance at getting anything other than a CDEF weapon or starter melee weapon. If I'm on the novice rifleman skill level and popping enemies that are "tough fights" or "instant deaths" they should occasionally be dropping an item that would reflect their difficulty level.

mid-range players have a difficult time finding challenging missions. the highest difficulty I can get is 15 at the moment, and it causes me no trouble to do them unarmoured and unbuffed. If I go to a more challenging planet, suddenly the mission difficulty jumps to 30+ which is too hard for us mid-range players to solo even buffed and with armour without 2 or more elite players tanking for us. There needs to be some prolific mid-range content added (Mission Difficulty 15-30) or simply increase the mission levels in comparision to combat skill.

Likewise. Artisan missions are quite dull. Scan forX consentration of Y resourse at <Z distance from the mission giver. Or go to X person at Y location with Z componant. It'd be nice to see some missions similar to the tutorial mission... build X items spending at least Y experiment points.

Even better than that for artisans or even other classes would be to have class contests for SWG Badges. Like best artisan in the galaxy, or best cook, scout, etc... Such contests would require us to utilize only our class skills to be the best at something like maybe shoot such-and-such a target with the same rifle for everyone and compare accuracy, or compare quality of an item constructed using only such-and-such materials at a special crafting station. I think this would be great fun.
