Thread: IT 7-16: New Dungeon The Corellian Corvette
This Dungeon sounds cool. I just hope it isn't like the G. Cave where Rifleman can AFK Macro kill and loot by using the AOE bug.
It's not a lot of fun going to the cave and see it being camped by people using /cycletargetoutward; /loot; and being able to kill thing with one shot
sooooo nice to finally end the prequel obsession and get back to the classic trilogy!! i cant wait to see how the corvette looks, and i hope to god that there will be the alderaan crew members with their awesome uniforms and dh17 carbines!! dont forget the funny hats!!
hooray for classic star wars!

I literally cancleed my account yesterday, but have until March 28th till it officially expires.
Now i'm tempted to re-up my account if more content like this is on the way. I'm feeling hopeful.
TH, will more content-based "dungeons" and quests of this caliber be introduced over the coming months? if so, any insight into what they may be?
You may have just won back a customer. Thanks for any feedback and keep up the good work!
I remember another time you were talking about how excited you were about the Crackdown. Frankly, I'm strating to think you are easily entertained. Nothing against you personally, but our definitions of "exciting new changes" are very different.

Personally, I can't wait to get home and try it out. To see those stark white halls in the corvette gave me an itch to watch ANH again
my char is a weenie on TC so will wait til live to test this, but if you guys are starting to use 'inatance' dungeons I may actually start doing them again. I have yet to try the genosian one since everytime we show up is a crowd, dont take this wrong but this corvette approached should have been done from the get go..![]()
Anarchy online started it and while theirs did get pale after so long since the theme was always the same it was enjoyable to take time and do as you please in your private dungeon. Open dungeons are not good in a mmorpg enviroment and you either feel rushed or wind up waiting to get anything accomplished.
My hats off for you guys taking the next step and catching up to the contenders..![]()
WOOHOO!
This is one of my pet issues.
I started a thread on the old SWG Discussion forum called "Add SpaceBEFORE the Space Expansion," saying we could take a shuttle to a space station or large ship without needing to fly up there ourselves.
And now they are!
This quest is aGREAT start

Add Space BEFORE the Space Expansion
10-14-2003 07:36 PM
The only time in the game we are actually in space is before we even really start playing:
The Player Tutorial.
Aparrently, the devs are waiting to put anything in space in a game based on space movies until player space vehicles are available in the Space Expansion.
But why not add space environments that players can't fly now?
We currently take a shuttle from a space station to get to our starting planet.
I just started a new character and opted to do the tutorial even though I've been playing since Beta 3 (I just ran through it, bashed throuh the barricade and killed the NPC and got quick and painless xp).
Hardly anything in the game feels as much like Star Wars as that space station does.
I love the vastness of the current planets, but I really wish there was any sense of the vastness of space.
Why can't we take the same shuttles that we use to hop between planets to space stations now?
They could just be static inclosedareas like the starting space station is now.
Keep the massive outdoor environments we have now. Just add some more indoor environments with a Star Warsy feel. They don't even have to be super large.
Just make structures like our current starports (except for Theed) and slap some windows on them that look out at white dots on a black bacground and throw in some planets to look at for good measure.
Why not make a Star Destroyer theme park? NPC Imperials could be manning the bridge. No players flying it. NPC officers could give out missions to other parts of the ship, or send you to do stuff on the planets.
No need to wait for players to actually fly in space to add space.
Similar issue with the last part in Kor Vella. What is an Alliance Master Sgt doing in the middle of all those Imps that are scanning for covert Imps and supposedly gunning down overts?
If those two being in Imp controlled areas are part of the story line then that's great. If not you may want to consider making it so or moving them. Doaba Guerfel and the Alliance base are options. As are Coronet and Vreni Island.

What I want to know on this.. Is this dungeon "instanced" so that ONLY you or ONLY your group can go in and would be alone in the dungeon? Or is it only restricted by anyone that actually does the quests can be shuttled up and all would share the dungeon at that point??
There is a big differense between the two types.. please clarify this for us
The dungeon has limited instances created so that only you and your group will be in a private copy of the dungeon at a time. Multiple groups can be enjoying the adventure simultaneously but each group will have their own copy and not impede upon each other.
I just clapped outloud when I read this.
This is something players have been asking for for ages to keep some static quest areas somewhat less cluttered and camped.
This is the big thing that other games in this generation had a leg up on this one about, until now.
I like this idea a lot, but I also like big static places where tons of different people go at the same time.
I've been playing since Beta 3 and JUST went to Fort Tusken for the first time this weekend and had a blast.
I love grouping with total strangers and having to organize ourselves to work effectively.
It's a great way to meet new people.
But there are other times I just want to be with my friends.
Oh, my dog heard me clapping so he came upstairs to see what was going on.
