Thread: Schematics limited to 100
While U are fixing this please speed up the factories!!!
I can craft faster than my factory can produce items.... where is the logic in that?
The new proposed patch that will FIX or NERF factories will make them once again useless. The obvious fact that it takes 4, 6, 8 & 10 units of some items to assemble 1 final product will basically insure no one ever uses factories to manufacture a crate of weapons, especially since you need to use your factory made sub-components to make your schematic. This changes the Max number of factory built weapons respectively as 24, 15, 11 and 9. So with the 100 schematic cap you cant even fill 1 crate of 25 guns that take 4 power handlers to make. Sounds pretty useless to me. Why would someone even put in the effort to make 15, 11 or 9 factory made items.
My solution is very simple. Set subcomponents to a max of 1025 and all the rest at 100. This will let someone make 1025 power handlers for an item, make two attempts ac creating a decent schematic and manufacture 100 (4 crates) of any given gun.
Please Please Please don’t take away the usefulness of factories. Just fix the problem not nerf everything.

ONE HUNDRED IS NOT ENOUGH. You want me to either make all my structure modules by hand or run only 100 in a factory? It takes 70 of them just to have enough for a heavy mineral. My choice would either to be waste my time making schematics that would burn out way to fast and make me waste resources having to make a new one after 100. If drop 100k ore, 25k steel, let it run all night and when I get home from work I have 500 structure mods so I can make 6 heavy minerals. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE idea.
I am not at all happy with the idea of only 100.
I think you should look to the components required to make things. Then figure out how large it should be based on being able to make a few crates Lets say about 5 crates of a finnished product.
So 5 crates of 50 stim Es (even with the change of 3 component items max)
5 * 50 = 250 Stim Es
it takes 3 of one component so in order to do a complete run
250 * 3 = 750
And then the schematic has to be made out of that so make it
800
Please do a similar calulation on other things. We should be able to make a reasonable number of crates of finnished product. (think of the finnished product number not the component number and then work backwards please).
I just can't see going through building components in order to get a half a crate of finnished product. That is just crazy limiting us that much.
Sorry for the harsh tone. But it really doesn't make sence setting the limit that low.
with 100 and Stim Es (even with the fixt)
that leaves about 30 Stim Es as the max in one run. that is not nearly enough. We should be able to make a couple crates at least. not half a crate.
Good point, when we can't complete a full crate we will be creating more crates that are of a smaller size simply because we can't build one full crate. This will just make more items to track for the DB.
Not to mention the massive number of schematics we will be using compaired to fewer if the limit was higher. And all the variety of items out there because of different schematics.
Sounds to me like this limit will be harder on the DB then a higher limit.
Please holo have some love for DE, we use an insane ammount of electronic memory modules and GP modules, for make a droid brain we need 4 of each (100 schematic size limit us to make 24 droid brains) then BH droids use respectively 2 GP and one memory for seekers and 3 GP and 1 memory for arakyds (this limit the production to 49 seekers and 32 arakyds) producing those items with factories it's already outrageous slow, i took me 2 days for get enough GPMs and EMMs for craft 100 seekers and 100 arakyds for my BH customers working with 3 factories at the same time.
Now it will take me alot mor time to be able to fulfill orders for those droids.
Please make that components that can be used only for craft other items and have no use for theyself like EMM, GPM, control units, energy regukators, microsensor suites,all the items in the DE list that are not droids (the are already differentiated in the treeview of the crafting tool so it will not be difficoult to add a differentiation on the schematic max number) cna have a schamtich maximum use of at least 401-500.
