Sweet post Akernar. If that's what they mean by "mysterious" then I won't have a caniption fit. If they mean you don't know who the hell to talk to then Im going to foam at the friggin mouth.

Dear Development Team:

Who cares?

How about this for an "In Concept" idea - - 'Coding a working Imperial Hat'...

I agree with a post right at the start of the thread.

Devs: Dont waste time trying to conceal the path, the community WILL crack it.

It will be public eventually and the time you spent coding to make it hidden will be wasted and could have been spent making it more fun.

I say do it mysterious but respect hologrinders who 'killed' their time attempting to become FS.

G... I feel it would be best for the game if the path were known... but hard.... because if it is unknown the people who buy and play the game just to be Jedi... which is actually a large amount of people.... they will get frustrated and quit the game if they can not figure it out....

Like it or not... Star Wars main appeal is Jedi.... not wookies... not Stormtroopers... not even blasters.... but picking up a lightsabre and kickin' some butt... heh.... You see my point I am sure... I know that when I heard that this game was coming out I was excited about the idea of roleplaying a Jedi... the main reason I have stuck with it this far is because of the promised revamp of the Force Sensitive system... If the new system is in place and I have no clue what to do... not even where to start.... I and I am sure many others will loose interest real fast.... It wouldn't be bad to have the quest party mysterious.... as in... it be radom at certain points so that no one really knows what is coming next for your char as each char's path will be different...

However it is decieded make sure you don't make the same kind of mistakes EQ did and make stupid parts like: Go to point A kill certain spawn that only spawns once a week and random times.

All this does is create a situation where people camp a certain spot for days trying to get some item... then some griefer comes along and kill steals yer creature and you loose the loot ya need....

Make it take as long as you think is necessary, and make it difficult... but please make it something you can actually work towards. I don't mind the grind, I don't mind the hard work... I just need to feel that I'm making progress.

I didn't start the holo grind because I heard that a quest system was being planned... and that actually sounded like fun. However with this talk of making it 'mysterious', I'm starting to think I should have given in and participated in the hologrind.

For many people who have been playing 9-12 months, the chance to become a Jedi is one of the main things keeping them playing. 6 months of doing quests and missions I have no problem with, but 6 months of trying to guess what will make me FS? I won't subject myself to that.

One of the things that kept the hologrinders going was the fact that they could actually 'see' their progress; Theycould see the progress they were making.

Don't turn the path to Force Sensitivity into the Grail Quest.

It's 3 weeks before the next publish and your just asking this NOW?? Wow. If you make it mysterious then I seriously don't know what the hell the point of redesigning it was. I don't even know why this question was asked. :/

Should the method of becoming Force Sensitive (not the path from Force Sensitivity to Jedi) be a mysterious, unknown mechanic orone that is visible and known to everyone?

Nope, I think everyone should be force sensitive. But taking the path to Jedi should not only be gruesomely difficult, but using your Jedi powers should make you a marked person.

I think it is important for Jedis to be very rare

I think it should be known. Having it be unknown and trying different things at random (that take a large amount of effort to complete) to find the right path is not fun - just frustrating.

I'd wager that 95% of the people who want it to be secret have already unlocked. Which is quite funny since they unlocked with a KNOWN path. Now they don't want anyone else in their precious little Jedi club.

No mystery please. I stopped trying to unlock on proffessions at 17 since I didnt believe the game was tracking my proffs correctly. Just tell us how to be sensitive, that way we dont assume SOE is trying to squeeze out longer subscrptions.

I think the mechanisim to become Force Sensitive should be visible. Make it a series of quests, and let people know who the initial quest giver is. Also, make a variety of intial quest givers, for the different professions, combat vs Artisian/entertainer, for example. The inital quest giver will then provide a clue to find the next quest giver.
