Thread: Publish 10 Feedback, “The Jedi Trials”: Live Issues and Open Discussion
Stada wrote:no Dev may see or hear this or give a rip, but I have never posted on this certain Forum for "In Live", but boy now I have a reason to. I completed 2 holocrons before the publish 10 took place. I got my old man visit, the sith attack and the wp to the village. I didnt know who to talk to first about gettin my credit for the holos. Well now I completed a quest for the medical side of the phase 1 quests, and it has been told to me that the credit should have been given by a certain guy who transfers xp to force xp. I now realize that I had see na "CREDIT" tab in his chat box, but thought it was transfering credits (money) to force xp (yes, I know, I am a moron), now the option is gone, and I did not get credit for the holos. I know I didnt do things in the right order, but I earned the credit for the holos. I feel I have been cheated now the option is gone to give me credit. If any dev sees this, and has compassion for me, please help, lol. I have never been more disappointed in this game as I dont know if retrieving the credit is ruined, or if I have to wait until the next phase. If anyone knows the answer please contact me. My starsider server character name is Aliyah. THanks.
According to this post by Thunderheart, if you mastered 2 holo professions, you were afforded no credit. You have missed nothing. There was nothing to miss:
If you have: The credit you will receive is…
No professions remaining: 6 Force Sensitive branches will be granted
1 profession remaining: 5 Force Sensitive branches will be granted
2 professions remaining: 4 Force Sensitive branches will be granted
3 professions remaining: 3 Force Sensitive branches will be granted
4 professions remaining: 2 Force Sensitive branches will be granted
5 professions remaining: 1 Force Sensitive branch will be granted
Since the Holocron System was changed, stealthily, in mid-stream, there were 4 known professions and 4 silent professions (4+4) required to unlock your jedi in the old system. Since you mastered two, 8-2=6 professions remaining, thus no credit for holoprofessions mastered.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of this news, but it is what it is.

I've got to say that I love this new system. Yes, there are plenty of people who are VERY vocal about all the things they DISlike about it, but the fact that we only have to grind on 1 or 2 professions to get our FS XP is brilliant. Yes, it's still a grind, but you're not dropping a profession you love to pick up another, over and over again. I'm a Master Tailor, and have been for about 7 months. I love it. I ground out 11 total professions without dropping Tailor, because I have a huge client base. The fact that I can grind Tailory XP and convert it to FS XP is wonderful.
It would be GREAT if there was a way to earn FS XP through the quests. Even 20-30k XP for finishing a quest would be great. It just seems that some of the quests don't have significant rewards, and ALL other quests in the game give some form of XP. It would also be nice if more of the quests would have "on-going rewards" like the 'healing wounded villagers' quest. The Crafting Quest for Phase I took me about 1.5 hours to gather all the specific resources... then all that was left was grinding for 3 weeks.

I have to agree. I really was hoping for a true quest based system, where the quests would give the advancement. I didn't do any holo-grinding with one of my characters because this is what I was expecting and wanted to enjoy doing the quests. I do like where my old xp was able to be put to good use, but some sort of a combination really is in order. For instance, a phase 1 quest would give you enough FS xp to fill one first tier box, phase 2, a 2nd tier box, etc, with quests getting more and more difficult as the phases progress. Maybe making phase 4 quests really really difficult. Withallowing for normal xp transfers as well, this would let folks grind or not grind, as they chose. Those that grind would of course get there sooner, but those who didn't could expect to get thier 24 boxes filled up in about a year (allowing for some xp transfer). Then folks would fill out the character they like the best and you'd see a healthy stable economy, more RP, and not so much of the 1) frantic xp gringing or 2) 'it's impossible I give up' feelings.
I don't think making the xp conversions more comfortable is the answer. I think the quests giving FS xp is the answer.
Thanks for your attention.
