The new system is FAR more grind based than before. A few poxy quests which are time gated. The rest is HARD GRIND!

30 prof made. Iunlocked between 9 and 10. I'm still waiting for the old man since server restart -.-

im now finaly sick of the game.. fed up with it all... i unlocked on proffession 29 so ive got another week or sob4 the old man sees me and it seems i need to do more grinding. i waited 6 weeks for this day for what NOTHING ive played many online games and this has to be the.. no infact its theworst.. do lucas arts read these forums??? cause im very tempted to mail them...

Thanks for the info TH, but there are still a few questions burning inside of me..
If i go AFK for a minute, and the old man comes to me, will he be there waiting for me? How long will he wait? Ive fallen asleep many times already...
Will he automatically decide when i get to be visited, meaning can i go play another character for the next while and then come back to the one i unlocked on and he will be ready for me? Or do i need to be on this main character?

I only play about 3 hours a night. I am only going to go thru these quests to open my second character. I wasn't too keen on holo grinding due to the fact I don't have much time, so when I hear about the quests I thought it would be a good thing, and that I could progress at the quests to FS at my own pace. What exactly is this Phase thing and how long does it last? and if I can't play much and too much time passes do I have to start over?
I do other things in this game besides grinding, I do like to go out and have fun with some of the guild, but I don't want to drop everything to grind out jedi quests.

Cant you read??? TH said that it would take 1-3 days for the first wave of people to get through, so the average person will have to wait upwards of a week.
Most people would have been ok with this if they had announced this before the patch went in.
So?
They say you have to wait so that they can keep the system from crashing. A perfectly good reason to me.
I am afraid I have no sympathy for the spoiled whiny brats flameing the Devs for a logical precaution for keeping the servers stable,
If you dont like this, asta la vista.
This game would be better off without your whiny types anyways.

well i really dont want to read all 20 pages, is there a time frame anywhere? i have been with this game for 11months, and did not do the holo grind, because i wanted to ENJOY the game. so now i have to wait like 6 months? this is total crap

anyone that thinks its lag or sompthing thats just BS
you could put a city on every planet .... you could make the jedi city Huge....
If everyone can all grind any other prof at the same time ..... why cant we all grind Jedi ?
FAIR IS FAIR ..... QUIT ALL THE MYSTERY BS ... Award jedi to those that are willing to work for it .... because allot of us are we just have no idea how ... and how long we need to wait ....
I honestly dont see why everyone cant be jedi if they want ... same as a weponsmith.
Make it so that jedi takes SO DAM LONG TO GRIND THAT FEW WILL BOTHER.

if the village takes 2 months roughly to do ( as reported ) people in group 4 will have at LEAST 7 or 8 months to wait ... then they need to do the village for 2 months ... then other stuff just to Open FS .... then the real grind begins

now this wait and see BS is breaking the last straw .... I have no more energy ... so some new Excited player will probably get into the village before me .... im just loosing the feeling to work any harder on this game .
its like i got OLD and all the newbies are still so excited .... i dont want to compete with them to try and get in front of the line ... I should be alowed in because ive played since LAUNCH! and im SICK OF THIS GAME

like i said befor **edit** jedi **edit** the system ill be in the dwb the geo cave or slaying night sisters for loot i didnt start playing this game to become a jedi and i mean let me see any of u make a mmo with no bugs and try to keep up with player demand on ways of the game i mean dam no matter what they do u guys flame them have u even been playing the patch long enough to see if the old man will come to u.... i mean its only been live for 7 freaking hours!!!u got like thousands of ppl trying to get in wait a day the complain i mean all everyone dose is flame i mean dam i say like 6 posts flameing other posts about how they typed OR THEY HAD CAPS LOCK ON **edit**... dam if u dont like the god dam gam,e dont pay the money and **edit** i mean thats it really cancel.. but u dont and u knwo why because there is alot of things in this game that u actual like doing i mean the good things must outdo the bad or ppl wouldent play... so **edit** give the dam patch 1 or 2 days then flame it but goddam man 7 hours!!! and there is 19pages of flamers on patch 10 no wait... 17 pages on p-10 flameing 2 pages on posts flameing other ppl for haveing caps lock on and yes i dobnt have good grammer u dont like to freaking bad dont read my dam post!! When is SOE going to take into consideration its customer base. When are they going to learn that you can not bait and switch and expect a loyal following. Most of the people here are staying for one reason only and that is because it is Star Wars. As with all reason though that too will wear thin and leave people frustrated and upset.
SOE is the ones who ruined this game by creating the holo grinders. SOE is the ones that ruined the economy in that process and it is SOE who has lead people to believe that Publish 10 and on would bring things back in line for the casual player......but they again failed us.
There are so many things wrong with this game that it would take way too long to list them all. I for one have stayed with this game as long as I have because I have wanted to live the Star Wars experience for nearly 30 years and I finaly can do that. However, there is a limit to my patience. I want to play a game that has meaning and equal rewards for all players not just the "uber" player who has all the time in the world to grind 32 professions. I want the players to have an equal opportunity to experience all aspects of the game, I am not saying that all players hould be equal. But when the relatively small group of uber players is continually rewarded and the vast majority are left behind that is not equal. SOE puts in content and the uber players figure out how to solo it so SOE adds Super Battle Droids and makes it nearly impossible to play.....just because of a few the majority never get to enjoy something. When will the "normal"/ casual player get to enjoy this game.....when will the working person get to enjoy this game and not get home after a publish only to find everything is changed because while we were at work someone found an exploit and got uber loot and no one else will ever get it?
This has to be the most dissappointing publish so far. Not because we did not get what we want but because we were lead to believe one thing and got something completely different. The rug was pulled right out from under us. When are you going to treat us like the customer that we are.....the one who help pay your salary. The ones who make it that you have a job.

I understand people are pissed i am one of them but LEGALLY you cant do anything ToA covers them, people have tried sueing like these but all they do is bring annoyances to the company producing the game if u want to annoy SoE go for it but youll just be wasting your time...
