4) it seems both yours old jedi system & new jedi system both are on test center & i was told if i surrendered all my abilities that i could train is initiate & get my skill list back to reset. this did not happen anyway i can get a reset, this is to test the new jedi system not the old & i cant do that at tha moment please help





Same here, not getting this trick to work at all. I'm thinking that the ability for some, who report being ableto do this, is a just an inconsistent bug in the mix of the two systems.


A lot of testing could have been done if SOE hadn't messed up the conversion process and then went MIA for 3 days. Hope that rest and relaxation was worth it, because now there is no way, with Fan Fest next weekend, that Publish 9 will be ready to go Live on the normal 2nd Tuesday-of-the-month time. I figure 15th at earliest.

Somone posted either in this thread or in the gameplay issues thread that they were getting a force regen rate of 5 pts per 6 seconds with a +74 Force regen modifier. I get an identical rate having only novice lightsaber, so I think its safe to assume that the regen modifier is bugged.



Ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a rocket launcher in your backpack.

Maybe the wrong place, but I figure they're going to read here first....if they read anything so here goes.


Progression through Jedi skills:

Lightsaber

1h Saber

2h Saber

Polearm Saber


These should all use applicable (old style) experience. If you use a 1handed saber, you get 1 handed exp. Etc...


Saber Technique should be done on Jedi exp (like combat exp.). Redistribute the specials in this tree to recognize the fact that it takes ALOT to get them.


I say this only because I should not be able to /forceheal my way to master saber's. I should have to use the sabers I need to get to that point.

Increase the Jedi xp percentage to 15-20% A basic force sensative character has no way to progress into their "non-combat" FS tree with jedi exp at this low of a percentage.


Force Sensitivity should allow a character to build a basic "training saber" with lower damage, and less requirements of resources. (no "color crystals") Make these sabers a color unattainable as a crystal, to denote to other jedi that they are looking at a "youngling".


Force powers should take Jedi xp only (but less).......anything that can be used on yourself should NOT grant exp. (just like healing yourself as a medic).


Decrease the skillpoint cost of the tree skills, Leave the starting cost the same, or increase it like novice regular skills (15, 2,3,4,5,6) I'll have to look at the skills to see if this will actually work without giving too many or too few points to work with.


Lightsaber mastery should impart something other than a new generation of LS's. A "super special" or something of that like. Not everyone will want to use all the other types of sabers just to get the best one they want to use. (don't always get what we want, but c'mon.....its as bad as making me master scout to be a combat medic....get it?).

Or maybe a bigger split in the saber usage trees.........make each saber have a "novice" side, then an advanced side....follow the other weapon skills pattern. There is sufficient imagination to come up with titles and such for it....as well as specials.







ATTN DEVS: This is a HUGE change, and if you don't do it right, you're going to lose alot of your dedicated players. Take the time/effort now to make it go smoothly and acceptably to your players, and avoid an unsightly exodus. I've already heard the players screaming about these changes. This patch needs to be PERFECT before you push it live......rush it at your own risk.

Line of sight seems to work well for Players, but not so well for NPC's


At fort tuskan the executioner and the witch, which were stuck in walls and unable to be attacked , managed to still target and 1 shot kill many jedi, all the shots passed through buildings and the ground.

Well, here I am again...


Found I had been reset for the second time in two days...


Decided to try /findmytrainer....only to find out he was on Naboo....


Guess what else is on Naboo???


Every stormtrooper and his brother......


Gah. I'd rather be facing Yojimbo....At least he would make it fast.


After two tries, finally make it to my trainer. Get traned...and without thinking, push the button for healing force bf...which makes every stormtrooper within 10m turn red...


Man, that's a lot of stormtroopers....


Oh, and Gunagan bases are just as borked as Corellian nests...


Next stop, New Unity.

Force run is a joke.

Skills are spread out too far in the trees.

Lightsabers bite, and need mroe damage.

Any combo attack goes right past our defense.

Lightsaber components are a joke, fix them. (you just added 1 more 500+k item to our sabers)

The Lightsaber tree needs to be lightsaber xp, so initates can kill SOMETHING.

The force cost on lightsaber specials could be dropped by about 50%.

Pearls are too hard to obtain.

Avoid incap dosn't work

Choke/weaken is too powerful

Defense tree is good, but could become too much if good robes are added.

Initates need defenses to level anywhere near what they need to.

XP should be reduced to follow the old pattern... aka, instead of 3 lines of jedi xp, we have 4 now.

Transfer force/drain force needs to be changed to not give xp.

Lightsabers need to be able to block other melee professions just as well as they do right now.

1hFlurry1's description says it gives Stun, Intimidate and Dizzy, but it applies Stun, Intimidate and Blind. Fix the power or the description, please.


Color crystals decay?!?! I can see the logic behind damage crystals decaying, but color crystals? I don't understand why these can't be a required part of the lightsaber schematics, and color added to the list of saber attributes.

Bugs I have noticed:


1. Jedi trainers are non functional (still operating under old system?).


2. Jedi enclaves are not permitting access, can not enter the PvP aspect of leveling with my Jedi Knight


3. No jedi robe


4. Jedi force power animations immobilize the jedi (intended? if so, they immobilize too long for the dmg output adn force cost).


5. Jedi unable to survey anymore, intended? If so, then that actually may be a plus, interacting with the population in general to attain saber resources.


6. Jedi force power attacks seem to have very erratic damage output, the cost of 500 force points for a lightning 2 seems high if the damage is hitting from 250 to 2500. Perhaps a change to dmg based on force cost is more appropriate?


7. Big issue with the color force crystals, making them decay and a rare loot object will severely limit the use of even a basic training saber which does minimal damage when compared to other professions (I made a 60 to 130 dmg training saber). I would suggest the color crystals to be non decayable, and recieve them as a gift from teh jedi trainer, or from a quest, or even craftable. Perhaps add an option to a refined crystal packet and use that as the color crystal during the initial construction (I understand the desire to limit the damage crsytals and feel that aspect is fine, as long as someone has the option of atleast getting a basic saber of each generation).


8. I started testing as a covert rebel Jedi Knight, I forfeited my rebel status and became nuetral. At this point I did not get a tef by using force powers. not sure if this is a bug associated with me going nuetral or if this is intended. If this is intended, I think it is a fantastic idea, limiting griefing while young jedi are developing (but it will still leave them vulnerable to bounty hunter missions).

Devs,


I believe I have found a potential exploit that could be quickly macro'ed for a fair amount of XP. Since this is a public forum I'd prefer not to go into detail here - I'd use the bug tool but thats broken.


Please fix /bug as soon as possible so I can report this in a more private manner...

testing has been ruined for me by people switching over, training in tkm and going into jedi duels etc and using combo hit 2
its just not right, they are all running around with jedi knight tag exploiting that bug
and its not testing
its them being pricks and ruining the tests
do something
