It seems you and the Dev's are listening to the wants and needs of your community, thank you. CH is a uniquely enjoyable profession for most of us who take the time to master it, and appreciate you and the Dev's being responsive to our concerns. Well done!
On a side note, please please please fix the pathing and warping to datapad problems. Running garm missions out of coronet guarantees you will have your pets stop following you a minimum of twice on the way out of the city, and twice on the way back in. This is an amazingly aggravating problem, not to mention pets just disappearing in the middle of battle. There is an area on corellia where crimson razor cats spawn, there you cannot keep a pet out. The simply end up back in your datapad. I cannot even get them grouped before they disappear. Everyone in our hunting group experienced the same problems every time we go there. Generally speaking the warping to datapad and pathing problems are systemwide, but the warping to datapad is most severe where those cats spawn, making any effort to use pets there useless. Please address these issues, they are the single greatest aggravation to our profession IMO. Often I just store my pets because using them is more aggravation than its worth. This to my way of thinking should be given a high priority. If a profession is so broken that you cannot really use your pets on missions that require you to traverse distances that cover server handoff areas (seams) then what is the value of the profession, and if you come here mostly for the CH profession, what is the point of coming to this game if using your CH tools often means more aggravation than simply killing the mobs without them? As a master CH, I can tell you that above any other single problem, these two seriously detract from the profession and the game as a whole. Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts on these issues.
In regards to the upcoming changes, I think on the whole they are good ones. Keep up the good work.

u utterly destroy the concept and uniqueness of EXTINCT pets, the feel and sound of them.
how a master ch feels special since he owns a very rare pet that doesnt not anymore spawn babies, payed his pockets empty to finally have one and enjoy it with full extent.
Now comes the nerf van and runs over it.. utterly destroying all the extinct unique pets we have now.. ruins all variety and makes everything just "another" tameable creature.. which was ones the all mighty arachne webmaster for example. now its nothing. its a dead nerfedspider that has no worth or meaning.U leave us just withthe greyscale of pets.. all boring and the same again
but im glad i was a mch before this nerf patch. but i feel pity for those who archieve it after the nerf.
Killing dabblers is fine, which i honestly first thought was the case with this coming patch. shape the skilltrees and higher some pets clvl. that fixes all "dabbling" completely.. but no it wasnt enough for u.. u killed every god **edit** pet in the game.
And to add to the "some pets will be very rare spawns".. it wont help anything.. u just ruin many chs playing time by forcing them to camp areas and lairs to get that one baby andwe pay ur sallary for doing that.. so darnlaughable ![]()

SWG is a MMO RPG. MMO stands for massive multiplayer online which means you are supposed to group. It's put out by Sony Online, the same people who put out EQ in which it is crucial to group. If all you want to do is solo then don't play an MMO. The Devs keep making changes so that people will group because that is what this game is about.
In my opinion there is only 1 class that should not have to group and that is the Bounty Hunter. The idea behind Bounty Hunter is to solo and kill NPCs and PCs that have prices on their heads. Why would a bounty hunter ever group with someone? However, they still need people to be able to find their marks.
Even jedis weren't able to solo all the time.
Hi, I too am confused what level of CH you need to be or where in the Tree it will be to train a mount. Is there a clarification for this?

changes suck, CH is my favorite profession, and it is now worthless. If I can gain 1400 pistol Xp from 3 Bolle-Bolsand theytake my Rancor down to about 15% health to get 80 CH xp. How are new players in this game supposed to make their way up the Ch ladder with now WEAK A$$ pets, and VERY LITTLE to NO XP per kill.
If this is not fixed by next year, I am quitting this game, and taking as many people I can with me...

Im a fairly Casual Player,I play in the evening after work like many people do.Most of the Changes that have been made to CH are fine and btw probably needed,,I realizedoes not and is not intended to emulatereal life situation to the greatest degree.Jus had to get that outta the way ![]()
But on the other hand, In real society there are somefairly successfull economies and some quite unsuccessfull economies,,this game at its core seeks to have a successfull economy, So some consideration andemulation to real time economiesand /or life styles i would think would /should play a big part in this development..With the understanding that it doesnt deal with MANY of the details in real life..
Yes im here simply because of the CH Nerf and/or observations Ive made over the past few monthes of playing.The Rant I have specifically with the Nerf was basically stated above,,that the xp, while not doubling it is fine ,it also has appeared to totally wipe gaining xp on creatures of lesser Hamm..and the xp gained thru equal and/or greater opponents has been cut in half..As far as CH goes this leans you toward using Taming as your Primary means of Gaining XP.When to be Fairly Real about the situation,,If One was a true CH Hunting Would Naturally be a way of life and Taming Would fall secondary..Here's the Problem, Taming is a lonly existance in itself and doesnt propagate Grouping and interaction in general..When grouped everyone wins typically if you have a well rounded group...While i agree that the xp on sending a bay into a huge animal while in a group should be cut back some..I believe that you should be able to retain the xp we once recieved for sending our babies into combat with smaller animals for their growth..I.E....You could send a 2k ham creature after a 1k ham creature and gain 119 or so xp..Now we get nothing..Unless it darn near a dead even match ..and now we get a really low amount of like 50xp and have to heal our pets at every stop..So you can get 1000xp per tamed creature and be alone or get pathetically low xp and be with others,,While I agree CH may have needed to be balanced ,i believe its gone abit overboard.I am 4/3/2/4 right now and Have been at this for a few weeks Now.I didnt gain my xp from hunting missions on Dant ,,I went to each planet for about a week per planet to get a good idea whereeverythin was and to generally check it all out,,andI hunt babies to grind with..While not the fastest way to lvl in CH,,it pleases me..Now with the nerf ive got bout 335k xp left to master and it looks as if it will take forever to gain because xp gain is so slow,,and will be spending the next month or 2 alone in the game Tamingthe 300 or so creatures Ill need to master because hunting them is not worth the time involved..To me thisnot the funest way to play a game,,lol,,
It looks as though theWeaponsmiths and Armorsmithsare goin to, in the long haul walk away with all the money and in the short haul the architechs are gonna have a hey day finaciallybuilding all the cities..
Being as Everyone needs a weapon and Most need/want a House,,most player cities anddev cities are ghost towns ,with the exception of a couple..the only reason people congragate these town is to sell and trade,,they sit there yelling Im selling this im lookin for that..and While yes biz in cities is what happens normally ,,I think that vendors should only be allowed to sell 8 virtual hours outta the day.and crafters should not be able to carry around large amounts of there goods to sell in their inventory,,You see, every other pro in the game is a slow money gain and now the CH is the same,Cause Not many NON CHare gonna want to bothers with the low lvl10 creatures and Ive found that you cant sell pets to other CHz Nearly as regular as you could NON CHz..So they also should be slowed in finacial gain pace,,to give the casual gamer time to log on and make a difference in the scope of the game.We will be soo busy being alone out grindin such small amounts of xp we will not be able to partake in the games other facets.It seems the DEVS have created a great lil ecosytem of proz here..Everyone feeding xp from everyone to create a wonderfully friendly environment of give and take..that with nerfs like this All in All will take away from the primary goal of having fun and/or fun with others.There will always be Rich people and Poor people,,but your timein game is what is making the difference here and thats not really wrong per say,,they deserve more if theyve played more.
My problem is that I enjoy CH, simply that,,I dont wanna be runin round making stuff or jus sittin in a cantina dancin while AFK..for xp.Funny though ive been a musician in real life for 20 years ,,lol go figure..
Its just if its not fun anymore I wont play any more and This game has totally engrossed me since day one,,and It will be really disappoiting if ,,with all the work thats been put into this game by the Devz and Many others im sure,,that in the end its jus plain not fun to play..
Cause potentially its the best game i think ive ever played..Given everything involved in it..Hehe well ill regress

Way to nerf yet another profession. I understand that you needed to redistribute the skills and stuff evenly throughout the the CH tree so that players couldnt get all the benefits from 2 branches. Now as ThunderHeart said all the benefits were in two branches. Training and Taming. Thus implying that the Empathy and Management branches pretty much suck. And ThunderHeart is 10000000000000000% right they do. Embolden and Enrage pets are not worth two squirts of piss. So CH has been restructured to make you have to take those two branches in order to get the taming and training levels you need. Why didnt anyone fix the empathy and management branches to include actual useful stuff? Most pets have been changed and suck REALLY bad now. A few got a minor upgrade, but not even close to what they cost level wise.
Graul Mauler Tank of choice by most CH's. Was it a little outta tune and too powerful for CL 34? Yes, everyone knew that. It used to be AR light and Kinetic resis 75% at CL 34.
Now it is AR 0 and Kinetic resis 30% at CL35. Major downgrade. Over tune IMHO.
Rancor got a slight increase however, it is CL 50 and should be much more powerful than it currently is. They still suck much **edit**.
My Toxic Merek Battlelord has now become my better tank and its still not all that for a level 50 pet. It has nice resis across the board and is 40% resis Kinetic and AR light.
I have yet to run into a CH that thinks this new CH patch is that good.There are good elements, but they dont outweigh the b*ttfu**ing that has been dished out to CH's. Most pets that were decent have been tuned or CL upped so you cant do much. ThunderHeart you say that a master can call 3 pets out at once. Well big **edit**ing deal when all three pets are 23 23 and 24 CL levels. The damned Kliknik is now CL 27 from 25. I dont know what Assclown is responsible for this change but obviously they dont play there own game and or profession. The only hope that ive noticed amongst the current CH's is the hope that the rare and ultra rare babies will kick much ass like the days of old with the webmaster and such. I think they prolly wont because there are too many dip**edit**s that work at SOE and are sucking the fun out of the game.
To achieve balance in anything you change ONE variable at a time until all is balanced. You DO NOT change several things at once and pray for the best. Man I cannot wait for WoW. While SWG is becoming much more stable and bug/exploit free which is a wonderful thing, it is also becoming less and less fun simply becauseof theconstant profession nerfing. FYI Nerfing is NOT balancing.
I feel sorry for whats going to become of DE's if you call this fixing and balancing professions. Hell BE's and Chefs should prolly be grateful that SOE has neglected them. At the very least make Enrage and Embolden pets better. They suck atm. If not put something good in there place. As it stands enrage and embolden are nothing more than a HAM sink.
Woot I am a master CH I can call 3 rock beetles. Hrm can you still call 3 GSP's? I dont have any to see if CL was altered. Thunderheart could ya tell me what professions are on the slate to be looked at next by the inquisition..um I mean Dev Team? I would like to know which professions to avoid.
ALL THIS INFO IS COOL ABOUT CH BUT WHAT ARE THE LEVELS. GIVE US SOME DETAILS. I AM 2-1-0-0 AND A LEVEL 25 PET WAS NO PROBLEM BEFORE THIS CHANGE YOUR COMPANY HAS MADE. WHAT DO I HAVE TO BE NOW TO USE IT. I WAS TRYING TO GET TO 2-2-0-0 SO I CAN USE A LEVEL 35 PET. SO WHAT DO I NEED TO USE IT ALSO.
