To get into the village right away:
First: "Right Away" Means within 3 days. If all 2000 of us hit the village at the same, dathomir will crash. wake up.
1.) You unlocked between 9 and 10. You did it. wait for the old man.
2.) You are glowing the force is with you. You succeeded under the new system. wait for the old man.
Other folk (grinders)
If you HAVE NOT recieved the unlock message, the professions left / group thing applies to you. People who have unlocked between 9 and 10 DO NOT have to worry about credit for holo profs to get in the village. The whole group thing is for these people.

uhh what city you know how many cities there are in the game.
Any city, just be 1000m or more outside of any city, and if the Old Man will spawn, he will.
But, he won't.

IMHO Those grinding professions should not be rewarded with a jedi. If you actually took your holo's and worked those professions, then congratulations and be rewarded. The game should not be power leveling. It should be quest based. Congrats to SOE for correcting this and let's move on. Keep the jedi as an ultimate reward, difficult to achieve and fun to play.
To all the whiners... go play WoW. Buh Bye. I'll enjoy SWG and JTL without you thank you very much.

TH, why do you do this to yourself?
Why do you want the community to hate you? Almost all of your announcements since you took over from Q have been bad news which results in the community cursing you, followed by promises of account cancellation.
What you and the rest of the team clearly haven't grasped yet is the concept of a product which hundreds of thousands of players are PAYING monthly for? If this was a free mmorpg such as neverwinter nights for example, there would be no issue, but as it stands, the community out-weigh the dev base, meaning your money comes from us.
You constantly take from us TH, in the form of so many delays, broken promises or broken features, yet the monthly fee remains constantly high, too high forthe game in its current state.
Get your act together, listen to community and act on what THEY want, if you can't, then explain why, don't give a rotten excuse such as the servers can't take the load, if they were any good, they would be able to with minimal problems

Amen to that brother i have no beef with hol grinders getting credit for their hard work but this is crap that the rest of us get shafted even though we are glowing

Thunderheart, you still haven't answered about where the Pub 9 unlockers stand in the "Waiting for the Old Man" Line. We unlocked and jumped through all the hoops. I recall you saying that "Yes you can still unlock the old way between, pub 9 and 10." We did that and we have been waiting and waiting and waiting. Now, Pub 10 is here, and we have to wait some more. Pub 9 Unlockers regardless of how many professions they mastered should be the first people into the villiage. They get to bypass the quest phases, buy up their 24 skill boxes and move right on to the Exit quest. How is this such a problem?
This is classic "bait and switch". I cannot believe you are screwing so many of the Pub 9 unlockers over like this. Are you guys really this disconnected from your customers and fans? I'm completely in awe over some of the decisions you guys are making over there.

Couple of questions and observations ...
Does profession grinding still work? Give us back profession grinding as an alternative way of doing it. Boring as hell but still way better. One at least knew exactly what to do. Plain simple, no secrects, no waiting.
Also, what about pure crafters? Will they be able to become force sensitive without combat?
Grinding was also good for economy. Most resources could be sold at 2cpu+ to grinders. This will probably change.

So, I assume that my 2 Holo's completed is going to credit me nothing??
I am working on my 3rd Holo profession, but didn't complete it. If I complete it, do I get credit for it??
Or should I not bother??
I thought I would have 2 more Holo professions to go after the 3rd. NOW you tell me there were actually 8 secret professions???

I would have grinded my butt off if I knew there were 8 freaking professions I had to master, instead of 5.
I am getting more and more pissed while I write this. I have enjoyed this game since launch, and now I won't get to even try to get a jedi for...... how long???
I don't want you to give me a slot, but Cheese and Crackers, can you give the casual gamers a bone here???
I have been paying for 1 1/2 years to play, and now there is no way I will get a chance for a slot??? That's what it seems like, reading the posts.

Dont you guys just love how TH "answered" our questions by NOT answering them. We ask "how long till someone gets to see the Old Fogey", their ambiguous answer 1-3 days. **edit** does that mean and what happens if I miss him, will he just always follow me around until I answer him? I did 25 profs, and have over 105 badges, including 1 accolade badge, I wanna know when I my self and heck anyone else will be seeing this Old Fart. You said in your very first post that all people who get a "glowy" message immediatly qualify for a visit from the Old Fart.......now immediatly to me is defined as "occuring instantly, at this very time", so by that very definition of the word you use, everyone who has the "glowy" message should have been visited by the Old Fogey as soon as they logged on today.
All I want if a definate answer as to, people who did <insert accomplishment here> will recieve a visit in <insert number of hrs/days here>. Also you need to be <insert location here> in order to be visited by the Old Man.
I don't wanna wait forever outside a city when I have to be inside, and I wanna know if i can just start playing again in so many days and just poof have the Old Guy there waiting on me?
Common TH give us some actual answers not that political "make everyone happy" bull.
