I thought riflemen had a skill called 'sniper shot' that dealt a deathblow to incapped people..... ?

I have kept up with this thread, and read every post. I can assure you that threats about cancellation, 36 point text, and massive rants do not sway our opinions. Well reasoned posts do.

This issue is still under consideration. TH will post more soon.

Correct me if i'm wrong (i normally am ) but when people were doing the above about canceling their accounts when Final Fantasy XI was about to get released you guys went and told people how to be Jedis AND gave them the means to bugger up the game (Holos) and as we know the whole Jedi system is being changedbecause it'sa joke.

p.s Please don't take this as a flame or trolling i could be wrong but your excuse that the old Holocrons blew up because of a "Disturbance in the Force" sounds a little odd.

They should sway your opinions. It shows just how strong people feel and that they have pretty much had it with the devs and the game. Being a smarta$$ to us doesn't make you look any better after this whole fiasco that you caused. Wake up.

Most cancellation threats are just idle "I'm gonna hold my breath until I turn blue unless I get my way" threats. Those who are serious about cancelling their accounts usually just go ahead and do so, and thus ends their ties with SOE and SWG.

I guess the bottom line is that hyperbole doesn't really work. "Thousands of people will leave, and I am the messenger telling you this" posts don't work. The sheer number of people who are asking for such a change, however, does speak volumes to them. One of the changes I am looking forward to is getting rid of the need for camps to call pets and vehicles. This was the community's voice in action, pointing out that battle-pet-calls were no longer a problem, and thus the camp restriction was no longer necessary. And vehicles being called from camps was a ridiculous concept to begin with...and thus is also being removed.

I'm hoping they listen to the rational arguments presented here. Namely, the idea that PvP is dying because of decay. Namely that though they see decay as an "important game mechanic", the players do not, and see it only as a $$ sink directed towards armorsmiths (who are having trouble keeping up with orders as it is and are making tons of $$).

They're trying to find a middle ground for PvP decay with the faction-costing "day pass"...they feel that strongly about decay, for whatever reason.

No, no corpse runs - this isn't EQ, and I'd hate it if it was. That and with the amount of inventory space you have, you would have to make sure to loot the backpack first so you can equip it. Otherwise you're screwed.

Just remove the decay for insured armor. It's getting used up in regular combat, and 1% of 35,000 is 350 decay for an INSURED death. That's a lot given that in a regular combat you lose that much from fighting. I think with this tiny (yes soo VERY tiny) change you'll satisfy about 95% of the complaints.

We did read the threads, we did realize our screw-up by telling you one thing, then another, and now we have fixed it.

Our apologies for the mistake. Thanks for the professional responses. You made it much easier for us.

Gonna lock up now...
