Let me get this BS straight. I only mastered 8 professions so i will have to wait until all other people get a chance at the quests while i wait. I've been here since launch and get screwed.

I like this lets screw the people who decided to enjoy the game and not sit and grind professions.

Just go about your business and he will visit you in a day or so

It will happen outside of a city and in 1-3 days

Normaly i spend my game time either in a city or in the geo cave, corvette etc.. However this so very much feels like the old waiting-by-the-phone routing.. Waiting for a call that you know (/ or hope) will come soon, but you don't know when

Now im sure you've all experianced this feeling.. It's extremely paralising and is preventing me completely from going on with my buisness..It's gone so far that we now have about 10 people sitting outside of our city borders just meditating and waiting.. Is going to be a long meditation session!

Honestly, i unlocked, i jumped thru all your loops, i did all you asked of me to qualify and you told me my path would continue _today_.

Sitting waiting around for some old man to finaly show his wrinkly behind is not my idea of continuing my path, nor my idea of fun.

How can you honestly expect me to wait many weeks after unlocking, then tell me "It will happen the 31st!" and then tell me when that date has come and gone i'll have to sit here waiting? What cruel torture this is.

(Not to mention the complete waste of my time i took of from work)

I honestly feel you are not respecting my time, anticipationand effort i've put into this event

Let me start with this -- I like this new system. Had it been put in place from the start, I would have bought into it right away.

Now, I gotta say this. The hologrinding system was the cheap and easy way out for SOE. It should have been done right the first time. Now we're hearing that as people were doing the hologrind, SOE kept pulling the finish line farther and farther away to try to artificially limit how many Jedi there are? And to cap it off, there's MORE mystery for people who now have to wait to get into the village and find out how many free unlocks they get?

Gotta quote JustG again -- "Do the right thing." Lose the mysteries. People have been chasing the goal of Jedi for a very long time, expending much time and effort only to possibly have the goal be yanked farther away as they close in on it. Add a command that people can use to see which group they're in. You tell them to play the game, they'll get the invite when they get it, but I say they've BEEN playing, and they shouldn't be teased yet again. It'll be a whole lot easier for them to "play" if they know where they stand. Otherwise, all you're doing is creating more frustration.

I know I'm kicking a dead horse, but the screwup in the first place was SOE's by not doing the Jedi system right, withthe degree of thought and commitment that something as core to Star Wars deserves, in the first place. Don't make your customers pay for this. Turn on the lights, and let everyone see what's going on -- it's about the only way you'll get anyone to trust you at this point. Too many secrets, too many mysteries, only serve to breed distrust.

BTW, I unlocked in February, so I'm speaking in an unbiased manner for myself, and as someone who has watched many friends toil in the old system only to be put off time and time again. Do the right thing.

Ok I am so ticked off my eyes are turning yellow.

I barely sense the force at all. Yet I have mastered 8 professions, gotten 70 badges, and played this game every single day of my life since freakin Beta 3 and I barely sense the force at all???

**edit**?????

My 2nd account I did 3 holo professions and I get the same message - barely senses the force at all.

again... **edit**!!!?????

I want to love this game - I stick up for it each and every time SOE lets us down - but thismight be the straw that broke this camels back for me. What in the heck am I missing here? Why is it that a friend of mine who barely plays this game at all and has only mastered 3 professions has a "strong connection to the force" and I am barely sensing the freakin force? He only has 30 or 40 badges too...

pardon me good sir, but I've just though back over all the patch notes I've read. a funny thing has come to mind and mayhap you can allay my fears, right old chap? see, it just so happens I cannot ever recall reading this. prey tell why?

They said all along the system was organic. That means they could increase/decrease the requirements at anytime they saw fit. They were not obligated to tell us the increased it, but if people paid attention to the forums they would've been well aware of it as people have been saying that for several months that it was increased based on the statistics of who unlocked and how many professions they had to have.

I'm having some serious issues understanding here.

Those of us that having "playing the game as SOE had hoped", are getting gated even further now. How long till I can start Phase I now? I've been not having as much fun the last couple of months, just waiting for Pub 10 and the Combat Balance. Now I have to wait even longer. If we had more and more content added, that would be ok. What what am I to do in the mean time?

Having a long grind to Jedi is ok by me. But not being able to work towards it at all, unil I get "my turn" AND PAYING $15/MONTHFOR IT IN THE MEANTIME? PAY to WAIT?

Thunderheart, for some stupid reason I think you'll read this.

I wish to know. When your peers came to you and said, ok this is how we are going to implement this and roll this out, did you not expect this response? What where your bosses thinking? Maybe someday I'll meet you face to face and get to ask you.

TH, cut the crap and give us a timeline for when the varying levels of the population will be able to access the village.

(example - If someone has mastered 18 professions or even 4 professions.)

Us Veterans are tired of being shafted. We played the game like it should have been, yet your only penalizing us by forcing us to wait even longer.

Btw, the forum servers are terrible under heavy loads.

Half my guild is now leaving the game

Half of my guild is quitting because of this!

over the last 10 months, i have tried to lead a guild, and i've recruited over 150 members, and so far, only 3 haven't quit after 5+ months of playing. This is to difficult for me, it'd be a great guild if people didn't grow to hate this game after a couple hundred hours of gaming. I think i'm going back to anarchy online.

So, let me get this straight...

You Devs yourselves said how destructive the Hologrind was to the game, many times. In the interest of trying to avoid damaging the game further, I remained patient and didn't hologrind.

AND YOU PUNISHED ME???

I'm now gated from even starting to pursue my Jedi?

I'm sorry, but that's the what a disappointment. Time to go visit Best Buy and see what games actually provide content for their customers.

I also think it's an outright SHAME you left out professions in this new publish. Namely ENTERTAINERS. Those poor people, who heal our battle fatigue, heal our mind wounds, buff our mind stats, get NOTHING. This system is a travesty. There is nothing for them. There is no excuse for treating a playstyle (Like Crafter, Medic, Combat) like that and leaving them out of this new content. And what did you do to explain this glaring oversight? NOTHING! You couldn't even be bothered to respond. COMMUNITY RELATIONS MY ***.

I think I speak for a lot of people by saying "Thanks for nothing, SOE and Dev Team! I'm sure you'll keep it up!"

OH - and your forums SUCK beyond anything I've ever experienced on the World Wide Web. For your own sake and reputation, fix/replace/burn down whatever is running these forums and give SWG some kind of respectable forum software. I'm fairly sure you can afford it - what does this thing run on? A Pentium 75Mhz machine with 16MB of RAM?

Ok so Thunderheart, your second post was almost identical to your first except one piece...

"I must wait for 1-2 days outside of a city for the Old Man,"

uhh what city you know how many cities there are in the game.
