Its nice that the jedi that unlock between 9 and 10 get some extra stuff for their grinding, but what about those of us who have grinded but did not unlock yet? I did all 4 of my holos and 7 more professions on top of that (wish it would have been more, but life did not allow), what do I get? If I grinded my holos for nothing that will be rude for you to give something to the unlocked Jedi and not those who have grinding money away to get professions and now get nothing after pub 10

OK, I hate this sig, but ya know, SOE did not fix

It seems that not everyone who grinded got any compensation. I did 2 holos and master 9 professions altogether and I got 0 unlocks. What is up with that ? SOE you said this was going to be fair? In what way?Seems like those who did 3 holos and above will get free unlocks.

I also want to know what it takes to open my second slot. I want to get that far first...and then see whats up.

Do you get it:

A: When you meditate at the shrine after glowing with the force to activate the guy to get to the town?

B: After you have competed the town on dath?

C: When monkies fly?

D:No one knows and i should just go home and cry?

Pease someone shead some light on this\

Thanks

/sigh 17 pages, no time to read through them all.

The question i have is:

Q: I have 3 professions that I have mastered prior to the badges that do not show up in my bio. Master Marksman, Scout, and Carbineer. Will the Holocredit be based on what badges a player has or based on what actual professions you have had mastered, badges or no badges.

I have a suggestion for giving holo grinders credit.
There are 32 possible professions to unlock. There are 24 skill boxes to get the FS slot and Padawan. That means if you give 3 skill boxes for every 4 professions completed, 32 professions would be all 24 skill boxes. I think this would be the fairest way of compensation. At least its alot better than what they had planned.

what about people that have been playing from day one that have masteries before the badge system? the devs have already stated back then the reason that the couldnt give us badges retoactively is because the system doesnt keep track of them, and ONLY KNOWS THE PROFESSIONS THAT ARE HOLO RELATED, but werent very open about the mechanics with holo professions.

I and annoyed that many of you here keep making suggestions based on 32 professions, it aint gonna happen that way because based on words from the devs themselves they dont have that information pre badges, so a lot of us old school vets would be SOL and have to remaster what we previously mastered, if you needed 32 professions as some are stating under the sliding parser theory that doesnt make sense since the database has no record of what profession someone that has been playing before badges has, and also that is NOT "AN ORGANIC CONTROL OF THE JEDI POPULATION". i am sure many of you remember that

You're statement about the old masteries does not seem to be true to my situation.

I left back in August of 2003 with Master Medic and Master Tailor as my completed jobs.

I then re-activated my account on June 2004, and noticed that I had these two badges....and of course I had no idea what they were.

Unless I am missing something, by what you are saying here, the old system should not have kept track of the professions I had mastered before I left.

It is written SOMEWHERE (?) amongst the publish information about your question....

Basically the holocredit WILL register your first 3 professions, its just the badge system was unable to credit you (badge wise) for Professions prior to the update that had the badges added..... wait a minute.... If speculatioin about FS and badges IS true then what if you are short by three badges?! Oh the pain!!

No, seriously, the 1st three masters you've done are registered. Honest!

You're right, they are tracked, but by a different system than the one used by the badges. However, prior posts have seemed to indicate that it's not *what* professions were mastered, but rather how many and if those particular ones were in the list of those needed for you to unlock Jedi under the old system.

Is it disturbing to anyone else that they put this patch off for a week supposedly to come up with some better compensation to people who have already been participating in the hologrinding, yet they haven't announced, implemented,or discussed with us what the change will be for people who have not yet "unlocked" but have mastered numerous professions?

Yes, it is very disturbing! I wish they would tell us about the proportional credit and soon! There is only 4 days until the patch is releasedand I'm freaking out. I have 7 professions left andthey're all elite artisan professions. I probably can finish at leasttwo of theeaser ones before 10 comes out... I'm just not sure if I want to. I don't have the resources for one and only 1mil in my bank account. People have offered to give me resources but, I'm not sure if I should take 100's of theirresources for some (most likely) fruitless mastery of yet another profession. I donno... I think I'm just going to set up my template that I will use to lvl up the Jedi that I don't have.

its hardly disturbing, you guys know MUCH MUCH more about whats to come for you then the people who have unlocked have been told in months...you know almost exactly what the questing and whatnot have to be done in order to unlock, i highly doubt even SOE has ironed out how theyre gonna compensate for you guys who havent unlocked, and i think you'd rather them tell you something thats true rather then get your hopes up and then publish day comes and its totally different, let them figure it out
