That means if you give 3 skill boxes for every 4 professions completed, 32 professions would be all 24 skill boxes. I think this would be the fairest way of compensation. At least its alot better than what they had planned.what about people that have been playing from day one that have masteries before the badge system? the devs have already stated back then the reason that the couldnt give us badges retoactively is because the system doesnt keep track of them, and ONLY KNOWS THE PROFESSIONS THAT ARE HOLO RELATED, but werent very open about the mechanics with holo professions.
I and annoyed that many of you here keep making suggestions based on 32 professions, it aint gonna happen that way because based on words from the devs themselves they dont have that information pre badges, so a lot of us old school vets would be SOL and have to remaster what we previously mastered, if you needed 32 professions as some are stating under the sliding parser theory that doesnt make sense since the database has no record of what profession someone that has been playing before badges has, and also that is NOT "AN ORGANIC CONTROL OF THE JEDI POPULATION". i am sure many of you remember that
You're statement about the old masteries does not seem to be true to my situation.
I left back in August of 2003 with Master Medic and Master Tailor as my completed jobs.
I then re-activated my account on June 2004, and noticed that I had these two badges....and of course I had no idea what they were.
Unless I am missing something, by what you are saying here, the old system should not have kept track of the professions I had mastered before I left.

/sigh 17 pages, no time to read through them all.
The question i have is:
Q: I have 3 professions that I have mastered prior to the badges that do not show up in my bio. Master Marksman, Scout, and Carbineer. Will the Holocredit be based on what badges a player has or based on what actual professions you have had mastered, badges or no badges.

If speculatioin about FS and badges IS true then what if you are short by three badges?! Oh the pain!!No, seriously, the 1st three masters you've done are registered. Honest!
You're right, they are tracked, but by a different system than the one used by the badges. However, prior posts have seemed to indicate that it's not *what* professions were mastered, but rather how many and if those particular ones were in the list of those needed for you to unlock Jedi under the old system.

We will announce the proportional credit for those who have not unlocked soon. It will be fair as well.

Is it disturbing to anyone else that they put this patch off for a week supposedly to come up with some better compensation to people who have already been participating in the hologrinding, yet they haven't announced, implemented,or discussed with us what the change will be for people who have not yet "unlocked" but have mastered numerous professions?
Yes, it is very disturbing! I wish they would tell us about the proportional credit and soon! There is only 4 days until the patch is releasedand I'm freaking out. I have 7 professions left andthey're all elite artisan professions. I probably can finish at leasttwo of theeaser ones before 10 comes out... I'm just not sure if I want to. I don't have the resources for one and only 1mil in my bank account. People have offered to give me resources but, I'm not sure if I should take 100's of theirresources for some (most likely) fruitless mastery of yet another profession. I donno... I think I'm just going to set up my template that I will use to lvl up the Jedi that I don't have.
