This time we bring you a letter from the Studio Manager for the Austin SOE Studio. Get to know Gordon Walton!
"First" goes to the person who can name Gordon’s profession!
Enjoy!
Trick question. Studio Manager doesn't leave enough skill points for another profession.

Was it my imagination or did he just admit to having stopped playing SWG after a few months because it just wasn't much fun??? Yikes! Someone needs to read the Team Letters before they get posted.
He wasn't part of the team when he was playing it. There are a lot of options for gaming out there, maybe SWG wasn't his cup of tea at the time. The important part of this message isn't that he stopped playing, it's that he is playing now, mind you a couple of professions. Since he decided to quit playing way back when, who better to help in development and address problems in the game than someone who quit because he wasn't having fun?
I just hope he is playing on a "live" server.

Not to get off on a tangent, but how could feign death be "abused"? If you use it... you arefeigning death. Exactly what it is suppose to do. Don't like it, go find a rifleman to tickle me to my feet.
Dont nerf smugglers!

has he been to our illustrious gaming convention? is he from the Oregon area? Is he coming back to gamestorm so I can pester him endlessly for info?

I remember Tyrant from the UO days.
He was instrumental in getting Origin/EA to put in a local, Australian, UO server. He put in a lot of time and effort to get that server up and running for us and was true to his word when he said something would be done.
If he brings that type of commitment to SWG it can only be a good thing for the game.
Hey Tyrant, if we badger you enough like we did in UO can we get an Aussie SWG server?

Wow, that was a bit of a gaffe by Mr. Walton.
mrwillie, sure he may well be playing it more often now, but working on new professions is,I hope, his choice for improving the gameplay he found so tiresome to begin with. If on the other hand he was bored of the generic game mechanics I certainly hope he is pushing for efforts to overcome them.
