Haven't tried most of this stuff, but I was able to log on for a few minutes this morning and try out the "vehicle in the toolbar" change and the /findfriend command. Both worked fine for me so far with my limited use. I have to say that theseare two of the most functional and wonderful changes I have seen made to the game so far. I am looking forward to using these almost as much as exploring the village...

almost...

When I first read the patch notes I was so excited. I thought the “crafting inventory control” would solve one of my biggest annoyances in the game. To make it short: Backpack sort order not saving. The items in backpacks not retaining their sort order when you close a backpack.

I figured you could implement something similar to the averages system whereI wouldhave a checkbox listing whatI'd like to sortmy backpacks by. I would simply check “Name” and Type” and the items would be neatly sorted by the item type and the item name so that every time I open the backpack they would be organized instead of looking like someone shuffled the contents of the backpack every time I closed and opened it.

This having been said, I think the crafting options (and all the other UI changes) are a welcome surprise. The averages option is cool for a quick glance on which resource is better for a schematic. It would be nice if it was possible for the averagesto work on backpacks too. (and if backpacks could stay sorted)

Keep up the good work in spite of the negativity that is unavoidable on the boards.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

All I can say is get rid of the /findfriend thing!!! Fast!

It hurts Jedi.

It hurts Bounty Hunters.

It does nothing to help anyone.

If you want to know where someone is /tell <name> Hi where are you?

This /find friend is sad. What did I get an implant while I was sleeping and now I cant go anywhere without anyone on my friends list knowing where I am????

Not to mention several servers like Naritus have developed a form of Player Bounty system. It relies solely on hunters finding their marks using nothing but real tactics. Waiting in starports, checking cities and POI's.. Real detective work. This /findfriend command will kill the spirit of what players have tried to create.

This was not properly thought out at all and a total waste of developers time.

PUB 10: Removed Drop-Shadow Effect on Names. But Why?

This is not even in 'Updates' list..

Do you have any idea why this is done?

NPC's, Furnitures, Players, House signs are now plain colors without black drop shadow effect. That is also same for Overhead map CTRL+M

But WHY?

Do you have any idea how hard to read Vendors on overhead map, NPC names, House names in daytime of Tatooine?

Please hot fix this as soon as possible. At least make it adjustable.

I'm reporting any names that breaks the Naming Policy, Roleplay seriousity and copyright laws, you can too...

Just some comment on the /findfriend command. I had 263 people in my friendslist i gathered over about 7 months of SWG, being happy to be able to see when they are online. Most were tradepartners, friends, maybe enemys. Doesn't matter. Now, I always thought this was a cut inthe privacy in some kind. Yeah, everybody who wants to knows if I'm online. Okay, it's not a too bad privacy loss. I could live with it, at least it was comfortable.

Reading the full patchnotes today I almost got a shock. "/findfriend? Naa, can't be what I'm thinking." And yes, it was. It completely kills your privacy ingame. I mean, it's just a game. But hell, I like to keep my location and my travelling routes private even in a game. As a matter of fact, the most important person for me in this game got 3(!) tells with his full location directly after logging in after the patching was done. I was like **edit**, addignore, kill from buddylist. And that was what I done. Killed EVERYONE from my friendslist. Thanks Devs.

I really appreciate how you're inserting some of the easiest griefing methods without thinkingit over. What 'bout "revamping" (you love that word, right?) the friendslist so that only people authorized by the person added can add them. And what bout giving an extra checkbox for the /findfriend command?

Just gimme back my damn privacy.

slightly off topic, but is there a way to zoom the overhead overlay map without the mouse wheel? I have played since day one and have never gotten thie mouse wheel to function to zoom the map. Is there a key combination to perform this function?

What he said. Thunderheart, you said in the stratics chat it would be fixed back. Is that one more thing that won't be followed up on?

some cities dissapear of the planetary map, has happened a few times today and once on tc when i was there. You are given no clues to its existence if you dont memorize a general area.

Wanderhome, I noticed that Anchorhead has completely disappeared from the map - not been able to re-verify as I can't get back on at this time.
