I wouldnt pay more than 10Fps
because of armor decay is like a double tax.

I already sucks to pvp and lose, and now it will just suck more.
Personally I dont pvp much cause i cant afford the deaths.
im a casual player so im not a money maker or faction pt maker.

Yes free with overt status, if not free well under 100

To be honest, i like the "Free with Overt" status idea. However if possible it should expire when you go covert.

So heres my suggestions:

With "Free overt" (ends when changed to covert)

80-150 FPs to coverts

Without "Free overt" (lasts all day for both)

20-50 to Overts
100-200 to coverts

Question: is this only going to apply to PvP deaths, Faction deaths, or any death type?

I would say no less then 100, and no more then 500. I think it should be about the price of a trooper.

I think 100FP is fair, overt or no.

I don't see the point behind the arguments for making it cost less if you're overt. Any insurance salesman will tell you that if you're classified as high-risk, your insurance will cost more. By this logic, if you're overt you should pay more, not less.

However I think it should be the same regardless of your overt/covert status.

Besides, if it wasn't the same, that would mean they'd have to build in some mechanic to keep people frombuyinga day passand then switching their status...

Checking your spelling (and punctuation, too) will ensure that you're making sense to more than two people.

Why not just remove the 1% on insured items.

Pass should cost less for higher rank.

Maybe overall cost is 15k with 1k less per rank with a minimum of 1k except for highest rank (currently colonel). Highest rank should have permapass with no fees. Afterall you had to spend MEGA faction and time to get this rank.

I think cost should be in credits... didn't make that clear enough...

WOAH! WOAH! WOAH!

First off this may not be the "full" solution but the interim.

Second is that this can be easily made to be very cool and address most everyone's needs.

First obviously you can detect the difference between Overt and Covert.

Overts automatically get the "No Decay" flag in the database or code (because that is what most likely is really going on).

Next any factioned person can buy from their recruiter a Procurement ticket. This ticket (want less work use the ticket for travel for the art) can be "used" on the fly as needed to prevent decay upon death in faction combat (and if you still by then cannot tell the difference then all combat) for x amount of hours (does not have to be 24).

This solution helps promote PVP and overts....provides negatives to endless Zerg TEF wars....and addresses a by need basis for the less combat privelaged classes that still are factioned. Cost of the ticket should be 50-100 FP.

I am jumping on the "free with overt status" bandwagon. Heck, if that were the case, I would be tempted to stay overt all the time (continually getting free passes) just to avoid thatabsurd decay. As it is now, I will never go overt and pvp again because this game only penalizes you.

I think you are going the completely wrong direction on this. I think it should be free anytime you get involved in pvp. If you would encourage it, more people would join in.

Free for overts - lets face it, with the Imperial Crackdown coming being an Overt Rebel is going to be a LOT harder. Lets make this a 'perk' for being Overt and taking that increased risk.

500 FP for Coverts - 500 FP isn't that hard to aquire by doing missions, but it does provide a sink.

Free for overts sounds good for me, especially for my Rebel Characters. As for coverts, any where from 100-500 fp sounds reasonable.

Doesn't matter what the cost is. You'll have people with an all day pass to revert back to the old days of "Clone at nearest..." attack, die, "Clone at nearest..." attack, die, "Clone at nearest..." attack...
